- A lot has changed since our last video at Stony Creek. Join us as we explore the relatively new jumps lines and other features they've built since our last video. What used to be an old-school XC trail has now turned into a flow loops with drops, jumps, and skinnies. Watch the video to find out more and let us know what you think in the comment section. Love the way they updated these trails !
Noticed the huge jump skill progress you guys have made 😁
Stay gnarly !
Another great video. I tried to progress yesterday and ate it 3 times. Sore and bruised today. Those are my first wrecks on a mountain bike. Made me realize two things. My wifes e-bike is heavy and I suck at riding.
Great video y'all! I live right behind stony and just love doing the whole thing starting from the west branch parking lot. The pines is like dessert after a feast!! "JUST S🔚 IT" !!!
Heading there Tomorrow. Maybe will catch up!
Awesome video! I live about 45 minutes from there. Back nine is my favorite trail. I could session those jumps all day!. It's be sweet to ride with you two one day
Nice! Been watching your videos for a while. Y'all's progression is awesome! Love to watch
Thanks! 😁
Bend my rim twice on that rock drop 🥲! Fun video as usual
Yeah, it's a harsh drop.
Diggin the different camera angles!
Those trails are nice ! I didn't even realize you were on a hardtail until you mentioned it , y'all were riding great too
Thanks!
Good job
Cramba is great congrats on the progression and congrats on the trail building
Miss you guys in Marquette!
We'll be back again some time this year. 😊
Nice breakdown on all the good stuff at Stony! Not sure if you ever get out to Riverbends, but they added a 2nd line in the newest area that has a nice little jump line leading into a legit wooden drop (you know how rare those are in our area). Probably not video worthy but definitely worth checking out!
Thanks! Yeah, just check out the River Bends stuff a few days ago. Wish we had that stuff when we first started riding.
I see u guys whipping it🤘 good chit guys🙌
y'all are great
Thanks! 😊
Dude, she is awesome!!
Good riding. Especially surprised by her. I was just here for the first time a few days ago. Watching you two I need to step up my game. I could clear those pine jumps ok but that was about all I did of the “features.”
Thanks! You should watch some of the other stuff she's hit. She's way braver than me. 😅 You'll be clearing the Back Nine jumps too in no time. We spent a lot of time practicing on the Pines jumps before we could clear the Back Nine jumps. 😁👍
Thanks for making this video! Planning on going here soon just got a bike.
Congrats on the new bike! 😁👍 See you on the trails.
Great video guys! I'll be youtubing out there next week!
Stony... the ole stand by.
if anyones looking for some nice jumps i built some in beverly park in beverly hills
Took a solid crash after the rock drop on roller coaster lol damn root came outta nowhere
Oof..Hope you rode it out alright. Damn roots. Lol
Anyone know how the trail is leading up to the those Pines table tops? I havent been out to Stony in a while and curious how it would be bringing a dirtjumper to those table tops
There's a shortcut to the right at the entrance of The Pines that skips everything and leads straight to the jumps. A lot of folks like to park at the Sheldon Road entrance to Stony since it's super close.
There's some great trails at Stoney Creek. Do you go to Wolcott Park trails?
I'm not familiar with that park. Is it also in SE Michigan?
@@dukeofmtb Yes. In Ray Twp near 29 Mile and Romeo Plank Rd.
@michaelanthonymedia Never been. Didn't even know there were mtb trails there. Nothing on Trailforks either. What kind of trails do they have?
Nice video! I haven't been to stony yet but was planning on spending a few hours to get acquainted with it, but it looks like I'll need to spend a whole day instead. Is the whole Park ridable within a few hours? I've only been to dte and managed to ride the whole loop of the 4 trails within 3 hours. Just getting into mtb.
The loops at Stony are a bit more compact, and the features are closer together and not as spread out as DTE. You're going to enjoy it. It's great trail system. 😁👍
Perfect practice makes perfect, otherwise its just precticeing the wrong thing.
True. I heard someone once say, "Practice makes permanent."
Hello I haven’t commented in a while I just wanted an opinion from fellow mountain bikers. Every year I do a race in Marquette called the ore to shore which is a lot of uphill I recently bought a trek x caliber 9 xc bike I was just wondering if the bike can handle some trail features such as medium sized jumps, drops ,and rocks in addition to just going long distances and uphill
That was my first real bike. It definitely can. I wouldn't be hitting drops bigger than 4 or 5 feet with it though. Medium sized jumps are no problem either. It's a pretty good XC bike. Have fun and stay safe. 😁👍
@@dukeofmtb thank you
So when does Cori get an E bike?
haha. Whenever they come up with one that's long travel, super slack, and in extra small with a reach between 365 and 400mm. So....never? 😅
@@dukeofmtb hahaha let me rephrase. When are YOU getting a e-bike with a tow rope? Haha
@@BudoDave76 haha. One day, one day...
Trek has the rail FS, that's has the same geometry as their downhill bike's. Specialized also has a long travel Turbo. Didn't you ride the bike park Ride Kanuga
when you were in NC? They rent Long Travel Rails
@@hippymtnbkr They don't make them in extra small.
You guys rip!
The way you guy's complain about climbing, you should get e-bikes. Cory needs one with a throttle. I remember Stoney being mostly flat. So to complain about climbing there, is pretty sad. Why don't you guys move to moto Cross....more chances for more injuries 😵💫🤪
I would love to learn how to motocross, never tried it😁 and If there's a extra small ebike, I would have already bought it😅.
Alot of trails in the area don't allow e-bikes 🥺
