@@DavidFoundCo Clearly you've never been here. We're not even in the top 10 in flattest states. And Northeast KS, where I live, is actually quite hilly and rocky. So while I don't "need" this bike, I SAS want it.
And you still get pedal kick back, when your pedals are at 6 and 12 when pedaling. So it feels like it gets hung up on square edges when climbing. Honestly I think the lower idler wheel does little if nothing for helping performance
@@rickywoods3101 after watching Lewis Buchanan ride this bike I think people should steer well clear and look for other high pivot bikes with less issues
High pivot and design looks weird. Honestly 2023 slash looks so much cooler. Slash always been my fav. Dont like the changes. Ill stick to my 2022 carbon slash
While it could fit a dual crown fork, but we'd suggest a 190mm single crown fork (which is also the max travel). You'll have a much better turning radius with a single crown and in 190mm, you're very close to a dual crown fork.
Not a bike for me. mixed wheels, for my riding not needed. This goes with any brand. If not full 29er looking somewhere else. Like your video, of course for racing riders and pro riders mixed wheels ok. For most riders, the mixed wheels have no benefit even thought they typical yo rider says yes. Let’s just be honest.
Slash is 29/29" compatible - just need to ditch the rear fender and swap the lower shock mount out for the 29" option and you're ready to roll on a big wheel in the rear.
It's only around €35 for the bracket!! Yeah they should give it for free with the bike at the cost it is plus the adjustable headset but would that really make ppl decide not to buy it!!
@@TheDiablosix6six what about the wheel and tire? 29er is the way to go! This is way too much bike and way too expensive to be spending even more on it. Bike is too aggressive…unless you’re a pro you won’t be pushing this bike to its limits.
@@DavidH-n3c Actually never thought about that!! I was assuming you could order the bike as a full 29r but I see that that is not the case!! I can see them releasing a 29r fairly soon though as I saw that is where the demand will be!! 👍
From a Gen 5 slash user it's not worth it to upragde to gen 6 slash just like if you already have a garmim fenix 6x pro, fenix 7x isn't a worthy upgrade for real, fenix 8 might be a more better worth it upgrade, 2 generations ahead of update is the one to be look that's why I'll wait for 7th generation slash hopefully trek will be back on their roots innovating new designs and proprietary next level design and no high pivot, let's make things more simple yet advanced.
I'm not drowning Trek and one of my favorite bike, and its actually my dream to get the slash, but the value you get from YT bikes is just insane.
Really nice bike but 12k for the top spec is just way too expensive
Add 2 more idlers and perhaps the chain will stay on during rowdy descents 😎
........... Ok. I want one. Now I just need to win a lottery......
Or if you just want to, IDK, give me one, I can pick it up at your Lawrence, KS dealership :) The 9 GX AXS T-Type in crimson is quite nice.
😂 exactly my thoughts
You don’t need this type of bike in Kansas ☠️☠️

Well done trek for finally making an interesting looking and unique bike

The official chain dropper!😂
How does it pedal vs the Gen 5 slash with ThruAxle?
Looks sick guys and great job❤
Wow you even remembered us shorter guys! 275 Thank you!
I am not racing but I love that you made it mullet and fun!
Fun is the name of the game 👊
"it goes downhill like a slash" bro its a slash, obviously.
I've really liked every Trek ive had , but just don't care about this crazy chain setup or added maintenance to go with it
Wow. I need that one😮😂

so, What about price.. who decided to make it at the point of "i can buy two Decent spec bikes instead of this"
It's really nice but it's too expensive IMHO
Trek should consider sponsoring me. Australian enduro racer, podiums every season😀
Супер!!!!
Stop my slash is 10 years old now.
cable guides on the al version are a disgrace
with how pretty the slash were 🤦🏻♂️*

Comes as a mullet only?
Then you have to buy an extra off market part to make it a 29er?
Lol this bike sucks.
