Mine flew off over the water then stung a Kentrosaurus which got pissed at me. Then after I killed Kent and the angry worker bees, I tamed it

doesnt work in my game, she just stay stuck on the wood tree where i destroy the hive. i go to her with a hook but cannot feed , nothing

Drop a piece of honey on the floor, the bee should self- unstuck going to eat it

Atm bee taming is kind of glitched. Use kibble, not flowers. Best to wait for a 2x or 3x weekend or event for instant tame. If you aggro the bees you may have to walk away to derender. And ALWAYS crouch!

Does every hive have a giant bee? I've destroyed numerous amount of hives and I haven't seen a bee yet.

Nope, try to see if you see tiny bees and hear buzzing. If yes, there's a queen.
Another sure sign is the drones spawning when you damage it

What if you don’t have gillie armor? Will chitin or flak armor work?

late reply but they suggested ghillie because it makes you less noticeable to the wildlife, so no, since flak or chitin don't do that, it's not a great substitute. getting base ghillie shouldn't be very difficult, i think
