Great tutorial. Just enough detail to get what's going on, without breaking it down too far. I'm an ol Country boy, so never really heard this song before, but have an audition with a more modern pop rock cover band on Tuesday, so this vid sure did speed up my homework.

Nice vid mate. What I like the most is that you include the transcription at the bottom. I have seen many people that doesn't include it and is really hard to follow or they just put it in a weird non conventional way. By the way do you have a website with all the transcriptions post? I struggle with playing the hi hat faster and I see everyone using that technique to play faster and more easily..

Can you explain the way the back beat is still on 2 and 4 but the kicks are shifted to before the 1, like how the beat really starts on they kick? Is that like the delayed backbeat funk thing? Or rhythm displacement or something? I don’t know the right terms to search online to explain this
I’d say it’s “coming in on the upbeat”. Nothing in the beat has really changed, but the whole pattern kind of starts before the downbeat on one. Hope that helps!
