What's the difference between EA FC & Football Manager?

In EA FC (former FIFA) regarding the match gameplay you control all your players and their actions, whether it's a pass, a tackle or a shot on goal. In the menu, let's say transfers, you don't have many options to choose from. In Football Manager, you have your team with their stats and after you arrange them on the tactic screen, they will play according to the instructions you gave them, if it's attack or very defensive, or maybe you want the fullbacks to overlap, they will do that, but you don't control them, you just arrange them on the pitch. Regarding the transfers, you first scout them, they have hidden atributes and the ones that your scout will reveal. It's a more in depth game, in my opinion, than Fifa, you spend hours and hours and don't know when the time passed. Fifa is good when you have a boys night, to play against each other and tease the other after their loss, FM is a more detailed look in the football world. I hope it helped, cheers
