    i love how you use captions for speech since ingame voices are unusable if i remember from my time using the editor
    outfit goes hard aswell, but on that note (unless ive already asked) have you seen the secret level episode for sifu?
    i think it was cool that they took the time to make an episode for the game at all, along with the choreography being very very good, but i was pretty disappointed with both how short it was and how unfaithful to the original story it was. they also didnt even show you the final bossfight with sean... what are your thoughts?

      The outfit looks incredible-definitely my new favorite! It makes me wish there was more blood in the game, like in Secret Level. So, about Secret Level. I skipped through the episode and caught the main fight (which was my main focus, of course), and it was really well done. It’s great to see they did something like that for Sifu. Hopefully, it will lead to something bigger and with more fights, of course.
      That said, I agree with you: it was such a letdown not to show the final fight with Sean. It felt like a filler and wasn’t a great decision overall. I also read several comments mentioning how short the episode was, which didn’t help I imagine.
      I plan to add more captions for this level. I just need to tweak the luminosity a bit-it looked a little too faded once uploaded for some reason.

    I asked on reddit but i gotta ask here. What is the secret formula for replicating the shakey cam? Is it a mix of follow player and something else?

      @johnwidow  День тому

      @@CatsandBoots935 I do everything manually-I don't use 'follow player' since it feels too rigid and limiting.
      For the shaky cam effect, I place multiple keyframes spaced 1, 2, or 3 frames apart and synchronize them with specific moments, like hits or when someone falls. Each keyframe is only slightly different from the previous one, so when you play the animation, it creates a natural vibration effect.
      To make the camera feel like it's handheld and following the action, I space the keyframes 6 to 12 frames apart during linear shots, applying the same principle: each keyframe is slightly off-center compared to the last.
      Thing is, this process is time-consuming, and it took me two years of consistently using the replay editor to get there. I’ve been considering uploading a video to demonstrate the process, but for just 30 seconds of editing in the replay editor, it can take me up to 2 hours to complete. And I don't feel uploading a 2 hours video on the channel.
      Hopefully, my explanations were clear enough.

      @johnwidow Holy smokes that does sound like it'd take a while. Your dedication to the craft shows. Your fights are some of the best replay edits I've seen. Now I feel like doing my own

      Well, for fun, look at the first video I ever posted on the channel and this one... I had no prior knowledge (aside of having watched lots of martial art movies and rewatching fights scenes a lot). After few videos, I started to dig into cinematography and camera placing, 180 degree rules etc. It helped me a lot. And practice with perseverance like for anything is just what makes the big difference.
      Hope you will have fun.
