I don't want a "dictator" on either side. I want our Constitution followed and laws enforced equally not by political party or class. I want removal from foreign wars unless voted on by the people.
I want tax dollars to help Americans first and audits of all politicians.

While many people are opposed to foreign wars, it is important to recognize that the presence of the US military overseas has played a significant role in protecting and preserving the freedoms enjoyed in the United States.
Relying on government for assistance is never a reliable option. Taking personal responsibility to become less dependent on the government is your responsibility. However, every citizen should be able to EXPECT the government to respect our individual freedom and not impede our ability to pursue self-sufficiency, which is exactly what is being compromised right now in the US.

I'm relatively young, born in 1990, and what I'm seeing in our country reminds me of what we saw in the 1920s and 1930s. Any person who knows about history can see there are some very clear trends going on now that can be compared to a time period where we saw a huge political shift towards totalitarianism. When people perceive their world as chaotic and dangerous, they seek something that promises strength and security. I can't say what will or will not happen, all I know is that everyone watching this video and perhaps reading my comment here is in for a wild ride.

Have competence
Have a vision and knows how to communicate and execute that vision.
Stays cool under pressure.
Has a servants heart.
Has empathy.
Isnt selfish. (Puts the intrests of the people/institutions they lead ahead of themselves, because they know and believe in their hearts that it isnt all about them)
Is mentally and physically cable to carry out the duties and responsibilities of the job.
Has integrity.
Is ethical.
Can communicate effectively and clearly.
Says what they mean and mean what they say. They have guiding values and principles and you don't have to guess what those are.
Still they can keep an open mind and adapt/pivot when given new information that challenges/obliterates previously held assumptions.
They do not believe they are the center of the universe and understand leadership is a privilege that can be revoked. They know this and embrace it by keeping their ego in check.
They listen four times as much as they speak.
They are decent human beings.
They understand compromise and negotiation.
They hold themselves to a higher standard.
They give 110%.
They act honorably and expect the same from the people who work for them.

Most political office holders, and political canidate hopefuls at the national and state levels in the United States would fail some if not sadly most of my list of expectations.
Democracy is supposed to ensure we have a good vetting process to select for the kind of leaders we need. Because the threat of removal with the next election cycle is supposed to ensure when people fail to meet these high standards, they are quickly replaced.
The problem is, people have stopped expecting anything remotely close to these standards in whom they chose to vote for. Often because our two party dominate system doesn't offer much choice other then "pick the one that sucks slightly less".
I don't think those wishing for dictators are right though. Because you just increae the odds that the crappy person who was thrust into leadership never leaves. For every great king remember, there are a dozen bad ones..its why most countries including America thought this was a bad way to put people in charge. The odds of a crappy leader are much higher then a good one. Because excellence is rare. Better to make it easier to replace a bad leader then make it easy to keep a good one around indefinitely.
I would like to see ranked choice voting be a thing for all elected offices. I also want it to be compulsory that the media cover all candidates on a ballot with equal time and get space on the debate floor and those debates get as much coverage and hype as a major sporting event.
10 people on stage in September and October before a presidential election representing most political parties? Yes please. Especially if we had ranked choice voting and ranked choice selection of electors (if you are a purist who thinks electors still needed for picking a POTUS).

I’m 67 years old, born and raised in California the bay area. I have always been a Democrat but I just moved to a different county and it took me about five minutes to really think about changing my voting status my party. Well I did it I’m a Republican now I just can’t stand for all the crap that’s going on with the Democrats.

An authoritarian is someone who tramples the civil rights of the population. That's not the same thing as being a strong leader, although the press often try to conflate the two.
Censoring political opinions is authoritarian. Vaccine and mask mandates are authoritarian. Persecuting your political rivals is authoritarian.
