In Australia, during the covid internment period, international travellers arriving back to Australia had mandatory hotel detention. They paid enormous amounts of $$ for that detention. When the internment requirements were lifted due to shifting covid policies, governments were left paying for contracts with hotels where there were no travellers staying for about a year after. We the people caused an uproar asking why tax payer dollars were still paying for contracts that should have had a sunset clause in them. Turns out, the politicians and spouses owned or had shares or financial interests in those hotels. I'll bet my left foot that's exactly what's happening in the UK and USA. The hotels will be owned or run by political interests and political allies. That's why they'll be housed in hotels to suck dry the teet of the tax payer in the same way that politicians create wars to fund the vested interests in the military-industrial complex.

The explosion of unasked for hotels in the United States is incredible. I live in the middle of nowhere in the Midwest and our metro area has added about 15 hotels the last 15 years or so. There is one downtown area that doesn't have a gas station within a few miles of it but somehow added 2 more hotels to the 2 it already had. It's been fairly obvious for some time that these were put in place for a reason.

Governments, as Ann Coulter points out, are about the voters at elections, then about their donors at all other times. The government works for the rich. People who do not understand that, are the people who do not understand why things are like they are. People don't want immigration but they get it for the sake of cheap labor for the rich, for instance.

Im from Hull and after London it was Hull that was bombed the most. My friends dad was to young to go to war but not young enough to not help out at home. He pulled people out of bombed buildings, he helped retrieve dead people from piles of rubble, there are still bomb shelters in peoples back gardens in some parts of the city and we still have bombed buildings still standing some what. When you go to the beaches right up the east coast there are still war bunkers all the way up the coast. For me at my age it was my grandads generation that lived it, but we heard the stories we know the life they lived to survive but after that generation is gone there is no direct link to what they did and what they went through. Kids today probably havent even heard of WW2 a lot of them and thats not even a joke, there was levels of respect and decency among the people that went through all this that allowed for the world to be as free as it is today and barely anyone respects it.

The thing that people miss about this is that Churchill - like MLK Jr, Malcolm X, Gandhi etc is that they are not just people, with flaws and attitudes of their time, they are SYMBOLS. They represent something larger than themselves. For Brits Churchill is an icon of our grandparents fight against fascism and got them through terrifying and profoundly difficult times. The point of going after Churchill is not about him it’s about destroying what he represents. US. A sense of Britishness and pride in our country. The pill was invented by a white woman to remove the black population. There's a hint. The pill was popularised by radical, hateful feminists, along with abortion, such as Simone. There's another hint. Since the 1960s, birth rate has been rapidly dropping in most Western nations. There's another hint. And there's some evidence that the pill also changes female biology negatively and messes up their natural cycles and such.
It's simple logic: if you stop having children, you have jeopardised survival itself. Simple maths tells you that. It's the most anti-human, unnatural thing in history, alongside transgenderism, abortion, actual sexism (i.e. refusal to interact with the opposite sex), child murder, A.I., anti-family, and suicide (for the most part -- you can look at such things through a Darwinian lens, but the fundamental reality does not change). Maybe there are a few other things on that list, also.
Interesting, such things are popular and pushed since the 1960s, and didn't really exist before that time.

      @MCharlesPainting 28 днів тому

Churchill was not in power until May 10, 1940, the DAY Hitler invaded France. So, how did Church 'make Hitler invade France'? Which is Cooper's claim. England was MAKING MEAL DEALS with Hitler as late as early 1940. It doesn't matter to what degree Churchill actually wanted war with Nazism. England literally gave Hitler a navy in the 1930s. We let him grow, quite literally. He also invaded and stole various pieces of land in 1938. He refused to accept the terms of WWI. He created a vast standing army. He created deeply anti-Semitic laws in 1935. He refused to properly engage, on the global stage. He made a pact with Stalin. What more do you want?
Hitler was planning to invade England as early as 1939; hence, he had a list on the British leaders to arrest/murder. Just as he had a book on Polish leaders to kill since 1937, long before the invasion, and Churchill became a key voice. Explain that timeline and intention? Look into the the Gestapo's foreign intelligence. It began compiling the Sonderfahnungliste GB - the 'special search' list for Great Britain long before May 10, 1940. And Special Prosecution Book - Poland (Sonderfahndungsbuch Polen), which was a list of 61,000 Polish leaders and thinkers to kill in aiding the intended future invasion and population replacement since 1937 -- 2 years before the invasion! You might also look into Hitler's clear plan to invade and repopulate ALL OF EUROPE since the 1933, when he first came to power. This was to be the Greater Germanic Reich. He openly makes it very clear that he's the Third Reich. It's in the name. It's throughout his 1925 book. The Third Empire or Realm. The first was Holy Roman Empire. The second was the German Empire. He wanted to take the 'old' German borders back. He wanted Poland, Netherlands, Austria, Denmark, northern France, western Russia -- all of it. I quote: 'As early as the autumn of 1933, Adolf Hitler envisioned annexing such territories as Bohemia, western Poland, and Austria to Germany and the formation of satellite or puppet states without independent economies or policies of their own.' See this link, too:web.archive.org/web/20210521204954/www.obersalzberg.de/en/exhibition/zweiter-weltkrieg/occupied-europe/utopie-grossgermanisches-reich/.
And here's another thing: when did it become a bad thing to go to war with Nazism? What is your argument against this?
Do you also support Hamas by any chance? Maybe Mao or Lenin while you're at it? Let me make this crystal clear for you. Hitler, Hamas, all the Muslim terrorists in England, all the communist murderers. They should have all been assassinated instantly, and war against them is justified and the right of the state and its free people.
I have news for you: if you support Hitler/anti-British Empire during WWII, then you're a Neo-Nazi and on the 'wrong side of history' -- quite literally. The next 70 years won't remember your stance or pro-Nazism, in the same way that we have treated Nazism as such over the last 70 years. Just looking at Hitler's own written words and actions tells you that. Regardless, in the future, you'll have moved onto some other theory or cult or talking point -- possibly converted to Islam when it replaces your population and government circa 2080.
I also find it highly likely that without the British Empire -- which you seem to hate -- you wouldn't be here today. Certainly, not nearly as well. No train, no clean water systems, no car, no peace in India (burning wives alive, lack of education, etc.), no worker rights, no modern democracy. If you remove the Jews while you're at it, then no Marvel Comics, no Hollywood, no modern science. Indeed, the British ended slavery and were one of the very few to do by the 20th century, let alone the 19th. Most nations still had slavery in the 20th century, and many Arab and African nations still do in the 21st century. The British Empire is mostly to credit for ending global slavery, ritual killings, and otherwise anti-Christian matters -- and British trade and capitalism has created most of the world's early wealth and well-being, as well. British Raj is a clear example. Gandhi himself literally called the British Empire the greatest and softest empire in history, and was deeply thankful for it, despite clearly supporting an independent India by this time (1947). Of course, today he'd likely be pro-British Empire against the Islamic flood entering India via the north, mostly since the 1960s (50 million in roughly 1964 vs. 200 million in 2024). Some of them are also illegals (more so, since 1971, according to government policy and report).

Brits are a proud people and won't critique either their Crown or folk hero, Churchill.
Truth is Churchill didn't want peace even when Hitler offered to negotiate it in 1940. Nazis were fighting the USSR like a heavy weight bout and didn't want the action with UK.
IOW, WW2 could have been prevented but Churchill would rather use it to repair his notoriously negative reputation. So he sucked in the US to fight his war. And as the saying goes, the winners get to write the history books.
But make no mistakes, Churchill was basically the original version of Dick Cheney aka neocon war-monger.

Britain (with its colonies) continued to fight against Germany in 1940, when Germany were in an alliance with the USSR. To seek terms would've been disastrous for Britain and for Europe. Also, it was german U boats sinking American trade ships in the Atlantic (as well as Pearl Harbour) that brought the US into war. True Churchill loved a scrap, but to blame him for the whole of WW2 is a bit much. Only someone desperate to forgive Nazi aggression could form that conclusion

9:13 don’t trust a word this man says here’s a comprehensive short summary.
The Bengal Famine of 1943, which led to the deaths of an estimated 2-3 million people, was influenced by multiple factors, including colonial policies under British rule. While Winston Churchill was Prime Minister at the time and his government made decisions that worsened the situation, it’s debated how directly responsible he was for causing the famine.
Several key factors contributed to the famine:
    1. War-related Disruptions: During World War II, British India faced shortages due to the war effort. The Japanese occupation of Burma cut off rice imports, which Bengal relied on. Additionally, resources and grain were diverted to support the war effort, including British troops stationed in the region.
    2. British Policy Decisions: The British government did not prioritize relief efforts for Bengal, and some decisions, such as hoarding grain for war stockpiles, contributed to the crisis. Churchill’s administration refused to divert food supplies from other parts of the empire to Bengal, even though relief was requested.
    3. Churchill’s Attitude: Churchill’s personal views on India were controversial. He made callous remarks about Indians, reportedly saying the famine was their fault for “breeding like rabbits.” This attitude reflects a general indifference, if not active hostility, toward the suffering in Bengal. However, there is debate over the extent to which his personal views and policies directly caused or worsened the famine.
In summary, while Churchill’s government made decisions that exacerbated the Bengal Famine, it was not solely caused by him. The famine was the result of a combination of factors, including war, economic mismanagement, and indifference from the British leadership, with Churchill’s role being a significant but not singular factor in the tragedy.

WW2 cost Britain its independence, prosperity and (latterly) social cohesion. However, given where we were in the summer of 1940 and the way the Germans were treating Poles and Jews, what would it have meant to walk away? I just truly do not understand why people keep needing to be taught the same lessons, and this one isn't even a complicated. It is ignorant to write people off as "wrong" or "evil" without at least trying to understand their position. Even if you're completely certain they will never win you over, it's still important to understand why they think what they do, and how they got themselves there. Not to mention the million and one ways how "censorship for your safety" can be weaponized by governments.
I'm sick of this notion from liberals today and their absolute refusal to engage with anyone on it or asses their positions ever. It's simply this presumption of "I'm better and smarter so it's different this time around". No, it isn't, in fact it's worse than ever before.
