the fact that they made the Onyx studio 6 look like a fking purse makes me 100% go with the xtreme 3 even if the sound and bass is a bit better on the studio 6. i can now walk around listen to music without the need to hold the speaker all the time since u can carry it as a shoulderbag. Actually that one part is wrong it's not 50 Watts RMS on its battery it's 80 Watts RMS on its battery and 100 Watts RMS on its power supply read the Box that says 20x4=80 in battery/DC mode and 25x4=100 in AC mode
Both are winners although smooth talaga ang Harman kardon at pleasing sa pandinig tsaka makapal ang sound while JBL hard and kicking bass at sa clarity lamang. Good thing na meron ako ng 2 brand na to.

But the superior product (HK) is made in Worthing, Sussex, England. And the inferior PRODUCT (JBL) is made around 6/7,000 miles east or west, in California or China, depending on the product.
I prefer the jbl xtreme 3 with it's 3.5mm jack input, usb c-type charging plug, deep bass, good meds and highs ! it's a rugged, ready to go everywhere little machine. perfect.

They should’ve named the Boombox 2 the Xtreme instead, as it sound pretty much exactly the same as the Onyx Studio 6 whilst being able to play way louder. Some people may find the Studio 6 and the BB2 too bass heavy, and I get their point, but it’s a matter of taste. To me their deep bass is really pleasant to listen to. The Xtreme 3 is just a speaker that sounds ok, nothing extreme like the name suggests. And actually, at higher levels, it sounds rather thin and gets this weird lower treble boost at 6 kHz, just like the original Boombox, which sounds just terrible. Luckily the second Boombox doesn’t have this and bass improved a lot, so now the BB2 sounds pretty much the same as the Studio 6, and I love their sound signature!
And harman kardon onyx studio 4 is better than onyx 6 and jbl xtreme 3, xtreme 3 dissapoint me, onyx studio 6 need more volume, onyx 4 is stereo and sounds better for parties, pool or trips
Cost? They're the same price. If the "handbag" design isn't to you're liking, there's the Harman kardon citation 200. Onyx and citation both murders the Xtreme in sound quality

The mid and upper bass is nearly the same on both speakers in my opinion, but you definitely get allot more depth on the Harman. Harman Kardon doesn't have boomy Bass but rather deep humming bass. In DLX Willingtons recent video, the Onyx 7 is nearly similar to the JBL Partybox 710 on lower volumes.
