As a musician, I have viewed a good number of these types of videos involving the JBL bluetooth speaker. I hear an increase in reverb coming from the JBL speakers which can be confused with sounding brighter or more crisp. And by the way, I just received the Sony XB 43(renewed) with no scratches and it sounds like a winner. And it came with a 2yr. warranty.
And that crisp I liked about the xtreme for more detail and voices understanding in music and movies, thus having a eq the treble can be adjusted to make both sound same
Find more videos about xb43 if still not convinced. For me it is the winner in all aspects. Price, quality and the 2 giant driver's magnet for best sound. It's amazing! 🏆

I bought the xtreme3. Was $50 more. But just overall better product imho. Soundwise, I did prefer the JBL. I like it when the music is separated from instruments, bass, and vocals. The Sony was good. But it had a more mono sound to it, while the JBL def had more stereo separation and clearness. The portability and battery threw it way over top. The sony should at least have a handle. That immediately threw me towards the JBL. I'm moving this thing all over the place, and the strap just makes that a non issue. If it was smaller, I wouldn't need a handle. But the size of these things I believe requires that it has something to grasp.
The xb43 is the best choice because cost 150€ on amazon and the Extreme 3 is 300€. So sony still the best choice (but i buy the extreme 3 only because i need a loud and not too big speaker.)(Ps.i don't have money problem)

Never again I will buy JBL BLUETOOTH SPEAKER! WEAK POINT IS THE BATTERY. I had JBL charge 2 in the past few years and the battery just after one year of use, don't want to charge at all. Now few days ago I bought SONY and I'm very happy with the sound and battery life is almost 20 hours no stop by 50% loudness. Best Preis 139€ on Amazon. Now I'm thinking to take another one for stereo. I love it 😍 also for the lights. For the sound I give 9 of 10 point high scale. Don't hesitate to buy Sony.

For their money, Sony is candy!
The Sony is garbage, purchased and immediately returned it. Anything above half volume the base goes completely to crap, you can even hear it in the video. it loses its punch and becomes in the best way I can describe it like a blown speaker, I think the passive radiators on the sides are a bit two week and basically they’re just flopping around all over the place in an uncontrolled manner.

No replacement for displacement. Bigger enclosure produced bigger sound, better sound stage, and open-ness or uncongestedness. With that said JBL is not double the performance of Sony.
JBL wins. Bass is Deep and heavy, clarity and clearness is good although we all know it has agressive sound. This Sony the best among off all Bluetooth they made, seems muffled but sound was thick easy listening and good vocals.

What kinds of ears do you have people.. I don't hear any Sony nearly as good as JBL. This Sony xb43 is the best they but can't say its better than x3.. Clarity and clearness and bass wins it. Sony is louder and cheaper and better than older version but not enough to say its better.. Sony doesn't have signature sound cause it has that xtra bass and equaliser while JBL sticks on trademark bold sound.
Jbl only because shoulder strap, these are big and heavy speakers, you will not carry Sony with you unlike JBL. Sony weight 1 kilogramm more only because old type magnets on speaker units, that are just cheaper.
If you want to buy this particular sony model for portable djing, STAY AWAY. it has a huge latency with the line in. I spoke to Sony support and they basically said it is what it is and can’t be fixed. So again, if you’re going to use it for djing, don’t buy this sony.
