I watched a LOT of these episodes when I was a kid. It also helped me understand Australian accents later in life so when I met a few, I had absolutely no trouble understanding them while my country's people were utterly lost! :D
It's really strange that you should mention something like that. When my grandpa was on his deathbed, fairly close towards the end, somehow I was the only one who was able to understand (Clearly/No problems at all) what he was saying...
Funny.. up until a few short years ago, companies were raving over their internal combustion driven 0-100km/h times of under 5 seconds. Hyper cars costing millions could do the run in under 3 seconds. Then came electric and all of a sudden family sport sedans costing less than 1/10 of a hyper car could outrun it down the quarter mile
Had this on VHS as a kid! Wish I could find a high quality copy of the theme music. RIP Marcello Gandini.

Top Gear Australia looked awesome!
The first few minutes look like a 90's MTV music video.
Porsche 959 is like 3.6 s to 100km/h than 5 seconds.

The experience and sounds of a mechanical v16 will never be surpassed by anything though. Very unique and special, an engineering tour de force.
10:34 only 900 my arse! Buyers were not happy when eventually over 1200 were built. Still reflected in their relatively low values today.
1311 were built to be exact and they run at about 700k now
Video from Beyond 2000 about the McLaren F1 on my channel.
Porsche 959 5 seconds 0-100? Its more like a 3.6s
And little did they know the supercar of the future would be electric
Appliance car you mean.
V6 Grocery Getters now come standard with about 100 less HP than this had. Let that sink in lol IN todays standards, that Ferarri isn't shit
Moms vans will have 1000hp in the near future, its becoming so easily to add power to cars, specially with electric cars
