5:48 I think this question can be summed up as “Did you have a vague memory of an (old) game - possibly to the point that you might have thought you’d imagined said game - or were trying to find the name of a game you saw somewhere, to eventually learn a) that it did actually exist/the game's name, and b) that you picked up?”
Oh that makes more sense! I think the closest example of that was that I played an arcade game, which was 3D where you fly using a joystick as a person on a Jetpack, I always wondered what that game was, but it was many many years later when i saw a screenshot from Planet Harriers and finally knew what it was! I don’t own it though as it was an arcade exclusive, but was happy to finally know what game it was! 😁
I'm amazed at all the things you are doing and achieving! Your book series will certainly be interesting as you know so much about the subject. I really adore the content you create 🙂
I agree doing the research for a new game that you will like really has me collecting again. I don't know how many times I was burned in the 90s because I based my purchases on the cover art alone! Just the opposite happened to me last year! I was watched a video on Mercenary Force for the Game Boy & I remember looking at that game back in 1991 and because the art work didn't appeal to me I didn't buy it. Then I saw people playing it & I was like I need that game! I'm glade I got that game in my collection! No more judging a video game by it's cover!
I'll try out your Discord. About you making your streams as videos on your main channel sounds lovely (if bit sized) and nice new content for everyone to enjoy. Hopefully it doesn't tank the stats or algorithm of the main channel. It may be smart to make a secondary channel with these videos in a clip format which you also can plug and promote into your main channel videos.
I just sat down with the intention of checking out some of the lets plays (streams) that you have been doing recently only to realise, i dont know where to find them. UA-cam has live clips you did 3+ years ago. Twitch has only some actraiser and some soul blazer. I cant watch your streams when they're live because they tend to happen 3am here in australia. Forgive me for being clueless here I'm just stuck.
All good, I what I was looking for in your account retrobreak gameplay. Sonic adventure, Diddy Kong racing awesome stuff. I assume you don't link the channels together for yt algo reasons
Just finally watched this video been saving it for months due to school and generally being busy. It’s interesting to you also like emerald and yea crystal is very interesting I’m going to go watch your Pokémon video after this that’s for answering my question
I see you say you don’t have much experience with Atari stuff except for the Lynx - any chance you might ever delve into the first big name in home video games? The legendary Atari Video Computer System (later renamed the 2600 of course) was my very first console, got it for Xmas in 1981 when I was a young lad of thirteen. My second console was the Atari 5200, for Xmas 1982, home of a lot of great arcade ports. (I didn’t get a Nintendo Entertainment System until late 1988, paid for with my Domino’s Pizza delivery driver wages, and that system really blew my mind!) I know the ancient Atari games are much simpler than those for later consoles but there’s still good fun to be had; just a thought if you wanted to do something a little different here on your lovely retro video game channel; I’d love to get your fresh-eyed take on some Atari classics.

It's funny how us retro gaming / tech UA-camrs all seem to work in software development in some form or other 😁
We’re all just nerds who like to make things 😜

Glad you found it! Yeah I keep them separate because it would kill my channel otherwise :( sad it has to be separated… I hate the algorithm so much 😭
BOUGHT NOT BROUGHTTTTTTTTTT😂😅
I agree for a Quintet collection, I really lloved watching your actraiser II lately, hopefully it will happen, those games deserve more love !!

I would love to at some point! I do have a 2600 and a Jaguar but both are broken sadly. Maybe in the future :)
