Ladies and gentlemen! Such an easy commandment! And a walking testimony everywhere you go! Can you imagine standing before the father and explaining why you didn’t wear them once you knew the truth? ❤️❤️❤️❤️ I was wearing mine while running errands and two ladies excitedly came up to me because they knew what they were! They said it inspired them to wear theirs daily. We swapped phone numbers and now have a connection between two home churches. We may link up for Sukkot! Would have never happened if not for the little tassels. They really do help me keep spiritually minded throughout my day. With love I encourage you to keep this simple commandment and honor our Father

We are called to be set-apart. Walk in public with them for a day... you will stand out. Y'shua said, "For whoever is ashamed of me and my words, the Son of Man will be ashamed of him when he comes in his glory and that of the Father and the holy angels." (Luke 9:26)
Many believers with good intentions wear a cross around their neck. Though not commanded in scripture, they use it as a means to remember Christs’ sacrifice on the cross. Having this torture device displayed around one’s neck can be a conversion starter, which can lead to sharing one’s faith. In modern day, wearing tzittzits can become a conversion starter too, which is great for many who want to carry out the great commission and share the gospel. This is not to the exclusion of its original intention. Shalom ✝️

Tzit tzit are attached to the 4 corners of the garment you use to cover yourself. That word is used for the same covering or mantle that one gave or took in a pledge as well as the covering one uses at night.. In other words, it is not the undergarment; it is the covering garment that is taken off and on without leaving the person naked. Deut 22 even explains the specific purpose of which garment is used to attach tzit tzit to and there is no reason to ignore this particular verse that specifies which garment and its purpose in order to do what we want instead. This is why a prayer shawl that is used to cover the person in prayer and has four corners is the common understanding.
Now if we want to totally ignore the "covering" garment with its obvious four corners description, then any garment with or without 4 corners is being used but this is invented doctrine. Belts, belt loops, hats, bonnets, vests, shirts, or any other clothing that does not have four corners and are not used as a covering as Deut 22 explains are often substituted but it is not what the text is actually saying.
Here is the most important part. Tzit tzit is for the person himself to be reminded of the commands. NO ONE ELSE is commanded to be reminded except the person who is wearing the tzit tzit. So wearing tzit tzit for others to see, is not what scripture says. Nor is it written that the garment that one uses to cover himself, is worn all the time. In fact, we know it's not since it was to cover oneself at night and it was given/taken in a pledge that should be returned before nightfall.
Bottom line. Tzit are not required to be worn on belt loops visible for others to see, hence Matt 23:5.. Tzit tzit are commanded for that person alone (no one else) to wear on a garment he covers himself with that has four corners. If we are trying to be as close to the original understanding as possible, then purchasing a prayer shawl that is used to cover oneself at times is probably the closest. Perhaps a blanket on one's bed is just as close. But never do we use tzit tzit as a visible barometer of another person's obedience or a way to show off our own. We should not even see another person's tzit tzit unless we see their particular covering garment.
Time Stamp 14:25... "...Mal 4:2 But unto you that fear my name shall the The Brilliance of Righteousness arise with healing in his wings(tzits tzits); and ye shall go forth, and grow up as calves of the stall..."
The reference to 4 corners in Deuteronomy 22:12 is not tzitzit, it’s “Gadil”. However I would still put a blue thread on them. Numbers 15:38 is to put flower like tassels in the hem borders of our garments and to put a blue thread on each one.
At 14:20 in the video It should look like this except a tiny blue thread on each tassel.
Fabrics made on a loom naturally have 4 corners. The edges must be tied/secured to keep it from unraveling so the blue could be put in the corner tie offs. Modern manufacturing has far removed us from ancient life and context.

I have a challenge with tzitzit, not because I don’t believe I should wear them, but because I am a homesteader who raises goats who love to chew on tzitzit. I only wear two in the front where I can see them (the purpose for wearing them) and guard them (the tzitzit and commandments). I can’t see them in the back and they are impossible for me to guard against curious chewing mouths. I wonder what the shepherds and farmers of old did and how they protected them from being soiled and damaged out in the fields.
I wore all four when I had goats. Just like any other article of clothing, I just stopped them from getting them. Additionally they do get dirty and mucky. Make more.
Why not tuck them in while around goats?

4 corners of the living alter
Since the Holy Spirit is our reminder now and brings all things to our remembrance.. Would it be far out to go with that law being fulfilled? not ended because the point of the law to be reminded is still here? Hope this question makes sense.
It's easy to overcomplicate things in scripture. I try to keep it simple. We have a command to wear these and no permission to stop wearing them so I assume we still have to. I apply that simplicity to every command from God. That way, I always error on the side of obedience.

The Holy Spirit reminds us to follow the Torah- this commandment is part of the Torah that the Holy Spirit is reminding us of. The Spirit and the Law of Yah are one.❤
I love our tradition of the wedding ring. I lost mine 15 years in.
Spiritually, I don't rely on it to love my husband or be faithful. Physically, I don't need the affirmation, though a ring of value can be an assurance and a signal to others.
But I miss it. You can live without many things, but is sentiment so bad?
Border, hem, corner edge are the same word. So I’m putting tassels all around my garments and putting a blue string on each tassel?

what if you wear a tzittzit bracelet instead? It's highly visible and serves the same purpose in reminding me of the commandments.

@@ashleylong2894 I honestly think that the "spirit of the law" vs the "letter of the law" means that we're not following just to tick a box and show we're obedient. We are obedient because of the Spirit within us and out of true love.

The word for remember in the commandment is zachor .... more act on the behalf of than than have a memory ....
How can we act on behalf of by not visibly to others acting it out with them visible?

No. It’s not food. That’s all.
This is what I think too. Woad grows all over the world except the attic regions. It makes blue. Touching the carcass of the unclean makes you unclean. I don’t think just because they found a bunch means it was Israelites who even used those. It could be incidental.

Why should we wear tzitzits to remember the commandments when Jesus tells us in John 14:26 that the Holy Spirit will teach us all things and bring to our remembrance everything Jesus taught?
Im new here but heres my initial question.. doesn't the Holy Spirit now do what tbe tassels were meant to do?

Tzitzits no longer need to be worn, since the book of the law was nailed to the tree. The book of the covenant is our marriage contract…eat clean, keep the 10 commandments. Gen through Exodus 24:8. If you don’t know the difference, there are UA-cams that will teach you.
What scripture says the law was nailed to the cross? There is not one. That is a man made assumption. Yeshua was our sacrifice for sin ( transgression of the covenant). He did not abolish the law. He kept the Torah and we are to follow his example. We are not to follow the tradition of men

I disagree with the multi-colored tzitzit because it moves away from the "common" blue/white ones known in Israel and could therefore set up a stumbling block to them. And in making different colors to match your clothes or whatever they then become nothing more than a fashion statement and shouldn't be done.

Romans 11:11 in regard to "for to provoke them to jealousy". There is nothing in most "christianity" that even intersects in a way that would provoke a Jew to jealousy. However, while wearing tzitzits I was asked if I was Jewish, to which I replied "no, but I have been grafted into Israel". Their reply "but you are wearing OUR stuff". This simple interaction began a months long dialogue with my new Jewish friend. It has born some very encouraging fruit.

We should wear tzitzit on a four-cornered garment for keeping the commandment in its proper context. These garments are called tallit katan and tallit gadol. The tallit katan can be worn under one's outer garment, such as a shirt, while the tallit gadol is worn as an extra outer garment when not wearing a tallit katan (Numbers 15:37-41).
I prefer wearing a tallit katan in most circumstances, because a tallit gadol would be too attention grabbing, which could be like the Pharisees. However, when I go to my Messianic Synagogue, I wear a tallit gadol then since everyone does so and it isn't as attention grabbing when everyone does so. In all things, we should seek to glorify God and not ourselves. We can only glorify God in the proper context.
