I thought this song was a lament about a cold-hearted woman treating the singer badly, but this rendition has let me hear it as a very sympathetic song by someone wanting to help a traumatised lover. Thanks for your great interpretation. And I guess I should add this to reasons why people think Hank was so great.
I remember listening to Hank when he was still alive. I believe he would feel honored to have such talented artists as you two cover his songs. You really do this one justice.
