Me too, but man Toni really pulls the feel out of that guitar. I love these two, I will go to see them when the world turns back normal. Preferably at like a summer music fest.
@@edwinov maybe listen to a variety of their covers and originals...Reina has a fabulous voice and delivery. Both are so talented and a real joy to listen to. Try a few more!
I’m not sure if I ever thanked you two for the free weekly concerts you were doing during the early part of the pandemic but I will thank you now…you continue to help keep us sane!
Truly sorry for your loss. It's a beautiful song and these ladies perform it to perfection. I'm sure they're pleased that their rendition has been of comfort to you when you were in need. I pray that this time of healing will be a comforting time. Blessings to you and yours.
You two are perfect examples of the universe placing two people together whose innate spirit and talent give us this beautiful music. But as an old musician, what may not be apparent to some is the countless hours and endless dedication you've put in to hone your craft. So good. Can't wait for what's next.
Well spoken, Sir! As a musician having played for over 60 years I agree to each and every word you have spoken. I detected these gifted young ladies only some months ago for myself and since then I listen to all their videos, being more and more enthusiastic about the perfect craftsmanship combined with a simplicity that needs no big show, but comes from a big heart. Greetings from Hamburg Germany
I think I'm in love. Their harmonies are beautiful and the sound of the 6 string and 12 string together...MAN.....awesomeness perfected. Oh yea...and Toni's high harmonies.
There was a time when I was so keen on Grand Marnier that I filled a hip-flask with it. This was very bad for the lining of the hip-flask, which was designed for undiluted Jura Malt. But that's a perfect description of Toni's singing and I think she will be very flattered by it.
A minute in, I was eyes closed, singing my heart out along with ya'll. My gratitude & respect. You brought happy tears to this old man's eyes. My new favorite version.
Thank you Reina , Thank you Toni. You both do fantastic both with the harmonies and the leads. You both should really do more of that, it sounded GREAT.
I’m an old guy, so I love that you cover a lot of tunes from my younger years. I actually used to perform this tune in clubs in Southern California back in the 1970’s. Your original tunes are also amazing and very refreshing with some of the same qualities & done extremely well! Wishing you all well and many years of happy, creative music endeavors!
If your looking for heavenly voices and guitars you’ve come to the right place!!! The world really needs to show these beautiful and talented young ladies some love!!! Thank you Reina and Toni!!!
I can’t explain why I was surprised you chose that song but I’m glad you did. For me it’s one of those timeless songs, not trendy, never goes out of style. By the way, nice guitar work by both.
This channel is a magical cleanser for all the heinous stuff in life we’re all bombarded with daily. Just a joyful purity in your performances that is truly calming. Thanks!
Haven't been out and about lately. So thought I'd stop writing for a bit and stop by a listen to two of my favorite entertainers. I don't care what you sing Reina or what Toni pick's on guitar cause I know it's going to be great .. just as luck this is one of my all time favorite songs .. lucky me!
Nice job! My husband said to me while we listened: “I played that song about a million times.” He’s a musician, now semi-retired after many years, about 15,000 hours on stage in the Twin Cities mostly, being trained (classic) in piano since age 5 and violin since age 9. He plays 5 instruments. We have our own music studio here in Iowa (Euphonic Studio, LLC) which we closed to the public due to pandemic. He has taught music since 1968. All this is to say we’re both music lovers, and we appreciate you so very much. We had fun singing along with you on this one. ~ Lori Parrish Niemi ~
What a great cover! I love the arrangement, the interplay between the vocal parts. Toni's single picking, well, I could listen to her all afternoon. Thank you for sharing with us!
Oh man, I Ioved everything about this. The beautiful sound of the 12-string acoustic, the wonderful harmonies, Reina's smooth vocals and Toni's soloing. Just perfect!
A fire in the hearth, snow on the ground, a cozy couch or bear skin rug, a warm drink and y'all singing Amie. A slice of heaven. For now, I love your rendition and the ease with which you present it. What a great performance.
That was awesome . Toni’s lead playing was spot on . Harmonies were perfect.I could only dream about singing and playing that well . Keep up the great work girls
Really nice job! Would love to know what kind of capo she's using on the Martin 12 string. I have the same model and cannot get one to sound decent past the 4th fret.
dang, you guys are good. You know I'm pretty sure there's never been a Sundays with Reina where I didn't listen at least twice in a row (usually more), and this one - one of my favorites - is no exception. Thx.
Great song. Great rendition. Definitely did the song justice, as you usually do. Both of you in fine voice today. Kinda nice to be able to say that, since we can actually hear Toni nowadays. Always anxious to hear what's next with you two. Stay safe and well. See you back here next Sunday. Oh Reina, nice job on the interview/listening party too.
Hey Reina. I remember when I was a youngun and my Momma bought that Pure Prairie League album. I always loved this song and I just wanted to say you and Toni did it proud.👏 Thanks for always making my Sunday! See you next time.
I'm listening to this as part of Elise Trouw's mix. Two acoustic guitars, harmonies and magic happens. I'm sure you two don't know how great you are. You are laying down a body of music that will one day be considered classic. Reina singing the low notes, Toni's fingertips dancing across the strings. Pure magic.
Always enjoy how you pan the mix hard right and left so we can hear each of you distinctly in each ear. Particularly nice on this song. Didn't think I liked this song, until I heard you two do it.
Loved the rendition. As I always say no 70's pop or rock song was complete without an obligatory guitar solo and Toni did is right!!! Simply loved it. You girls ROCK!!!!
The two of you have the most amazing ability to pick out songs to cover. I bought this LP when it first came out and you're version is 99.9% of the original. Peace & Love from West Texas.
loves these. best part is I can play my "desk drums" along with you guys. this old ,retired drummer loves to play along with you guys. and this song is one I've played many times back in the day, thanks for jamming with me :)
Holy cow! Now THAT was candy for my ears. BRAVO! You guys are great. Your voices blend together like sugar and honey --- perfectly! And that guitar work was spot on!
That is a beautiful rendition of the classic PPL song. I grew up on Amie and it's one of the reasons I picked up the guitar years ago. Toni you did great playing the lead with the right tempo and feel. Everyone I ever played it with would speed it up to much and rush the transition back to the chorus.
Loved it! It was better than the original, which has always been one of my favorites. The guitar work and harmonies we're especially outstanding. You both are amazing, come to Denver sometime!
Your covers are always a treat. I like that Toni sings more often.

Toni - excellent guitar work on this one.
Indeed!
Yes very nice job.
So what else is new?
This is, honestly, the BEST cover of this song I have ever heard. You do Pure Prairie League justice. Wow!!

Toni is a bonafide flatpicker, she's "Bluegrass Good," which is the highest compliment I can give to any guitar player.
I think I'm in love. Their harmonies are beautiful and the sound of the 6 string and 12 string together...MAN.....awesomeness perfected.
Oh yea...and Toni's high harmonies.
Toni’s harmony hits you like sipping a heated snifter of Grand Marnier in the flickering shadows of the fire; warm, sweet, and comforting.
🤣
On point and nicely expressive. I like it.
Grand Marnier!?
You must be a child of the seventies! Lol
There was a time when I was so keen on Grand Marnier that I filled a hip-flask with it. This was very bad for the lining of the hip-flask, which was designed for undiluted Jura Malt. But that's a perfect description of Toni's singing and I think she will be very flattered by it.
Was that sentence a one-off, or are you an actual writer? Beautifully conjured in my humble opinion.
Nice! Great to see Toni singing some lead!
If there is reincarnation, I pray, hope, dream that I return with guitar skills like Toni or Josh.
Yeah! Amazing vocals and great guitar playing - includes a 12-string!
A great song, also perfect for your guitars and voices. Great choice and very nicely done!
Gosh, the audio on this is stellar! Pan those crisp guitars and lovely voices :) Thank you for sharing

Wonderful performance. I was a part of the PPL birth in 1973. This is the reason we love music. Craig Fuller and the guys nailed it and so did you!
Toni’s smile always makes me smile. Great cover as always
Agreed! The more expressive Toni is, the more I enjoy the video! Toni Lundgren 4 life!!!
Lovely harmonies, and the 12-string rings like a bell. Beautiful!
I knew there would be a comment about the 12 string without scrolling too far!!!! :)
Those Martin X-series 12-strings don't get the respect they deserve. They are shockingly good for the price.

The 12 string guitar has such a unique sound,, but I always had difficulty grasping on how to play it. :(
