Rarotonga is dreamy AF! This is our 4th and final video from this little paradise, you can watch the other 3 here - ua-cam.com/video/DVSYPmoViVY/v-deo.html
Kia Orana from Raro! Just found your vlogs and really enjoyed watching them! I've lived in beautiful Raro for 2 years (work at Moana Sands Lagoon Resort where you stayed!). 😍 Congrats on showing Raro off so well, despite the weather you had! See you back in our little island paradise soon! 🤩🌴🌊🌴
Kia Orana! Aw thank you so much ❤️ we're already planning to come back once its safe to! Hope you're keeping safe and well in your beautiful island paradise!
@@DaneAndStacey Kia Orana Guys! Awesome that you're planning to come back sometime! 😃 The Cooks certainly gets in your blood! And yes next time you visit, you must explore our beautiful Pa Enua too (outer islands)! I'm an ex Aussire travel agent who fell in love with the place and moved here! Shout out if you need any pointers on anything for your next trip! Til then, keep safe and keep the awesome vlogs coming! 🌴💙🌊🌴😀
Yay a foodie episode 😋 That tuna cup looks yummy. But yes to burgers any day. Perfect tropical getaway destination. That last curry dish must have been delicious . Thanks for this escape episode, James and Kim
So as well as the absolutely fantastic island scenery and vibe, there is great food on offer too! That last dish looked so good. I liked the idea of the smokey bacon and BBQ sauce on the burger too. This video makes me seriously look forward to your new travel videos in NZ now that the lockdown is being eased there :)
Thank you for adding the prices and conversion. Looks beautiful, after 2 months of lockdown it’s nice to see how travel used to be. Be healthy and safe D & S
Ika mata at Moana Sands was great when we were there. We had a table of eight and multiple dishes - all very good. However ika Mata the favorite! View is amazing.
Ika Mata = "kinilaw" and Coconut Fish Curry = looks like "kare kare". Yummy vlog! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ from your avid fan stalking you all the way from my home workspace somewhere in the heart of VN.
For next time...The Mooring Fish Cafe has the best Ika Mata, I’m such a fiend for it. They also have the best fish sandwiches like the FOB. I love burgers and Villis burgers are my favourite. I would have recommended trying Rukau (creamed taro leaves), poke (banana dish) or Mayonnaise (potato salad) you won’t find them in NZ but you could easily make ika mata yourself at home. There’s small convenience stores (or “dairies” for the kiwis) around the island, visit them before lunch time and you can find all the favourites... island donuts, chop suey, taro, rukau etc. Try find an umu plate at the night market. An umu is food cooked in the ground kind of like a hangi. I’d recommend beluga for best cafe. They do a good tuna sashimi eggs Benedict!! I enjoy watching your videos, it’s hard to find good ones on Raro.
HulaBar! The Bar with the cheap drinks, lol We LOVE our booze. I stayed there at the Islander and Edgewater Resort and then with family a day before leaving, would go back in a heartbeat! Partied so hard on the island I lost my iPhone7 at that bar too 😂😂😂😂 too drunk to remember!
Hi Daneger & Stacey first time responder to your vlog. Absolutely, Love it! I learn a lot about the world by watching you. But ,the song that is playing in the background, is called "Casanova". It was at one time a very popular and important record notably in Black American culture. The song originates in United States, is being performed by the late and extremely popular American R &B artist Gerald Levert. Son of the revered Eddie Levert , a co-founder of the soulful singing group "The O'Jays". You were listening to a recording. The song was not being played live by locals.
I'm from Rarotonga myself and how could you eat so little when you're there! You didn't even try chop suey, rukau or poke! Those are definite recommendations for when you come back!
Bit late on this waka Watching this bought back many happy memories You both are perfect presenters Kia orana and Aroha to you both A kiwi living in Brisbane🤙
ohhhh the food. The best burger i had there was at a place called muri beach burgers....and it was like a little shack opposite where the markets are.....i don't know if its there anymore....but it was bomb.
It's not actually (Lack of Colour doesn't fit me very well for some reason, every one I've tried just looks massive on my head) This one is from Will & Bear. My one is perfect but Dane ordered one too and the quality was completely different so we sent it back. Wouldn't feel right recommending it without that little disclaimer.
Laughed about the driving to the burger place (even though your rational makes complete sense). Do you also eat the coconut meat afterwards or just drink the liquid? Because the meat is the good part...

Fish curry looks delicious!
It was amaaaaazing! 🐟
So random, but your pronunciation of ‘Kia Orana’ is on point lol.
Hahah yasss!! Probably because we're used to saying Kia Ora in New Zealand!
Burger looked amazing 😋
It was SO good!
Home Sweet Home😊😊🇨🇰 Ikamata is so good
What a beautiful place to call home! Oh maaaan, we're still dreaming about the fresh Ikamata 🤤
I'm from Rarotonga myself and how could you eat so little when you're there! You didn't even try chop suey, rukau or poke! Those are definite recommendations for when you come back!
Dane though Casanova(80’s pop tune) was local music!! Love you guys
Buying coconut drinks (Nu) from the market in the main town on Saturdays are cheaper at the price of $3-$4. Just for future reference 😃😁
That's awesome to know, thank you ☺️ Looks like we'll just have to come back for the fresh coco!
Bit late on this waka
Watching this bought back many happy memories
You both are perfect presenters
Kia orana and Aroha to you both

Kia orana! Such a nice comment thank you. Hope you're keeping well over in Brissy!
Have you been to Aitutaki?
ohhhh the food.
The best burger i had there was at a place called muri beach burgers....and it was like a little shack opposite where the markets are.....i don't know if its there anymore....but it was bomb.
Oh yum! That sounds amazing, their burgers are so good over there 🙌🏼
The place ur talking about is the original Villi's Burgers
@@viperstinger77 i think you're right. Soooooo good
Enjoyed that 10minute trip to Rarotonga! £2.50 for a pint that's a very good price!
The beer is ridiculously cheap, especially during happy hour! Wouldn't mind time travelling back for a cheeky beer on the beach 🍻
and here i was wondering when finally beer will make appearance in your new vids ;)
You know we couldn't miss out on sampling the local brew! 🍻
I so need to try a coconut drink 1 day. Are they as good as Jess (flying the nest) says they are? -Shawna🍁
Oh you haaaaave to try a fresh coconut, they're really refreshing. Especially when you're on a tropical island 😀
You should visit Aitutaki, another beautiful place it’s like heaven on earth.
It's on our list! Was just crazy expensive to get to when we were there and the weather was too bad to justify it
Is your hat from Lack of Colour? Could you link it...? It's beautiful!

Its possible to comeing there
Would hate to get this wrong so we'd recommend doing your own research on this one. We travelled there before any travel restrictions in February.

Wow $55.

I’m cringing at the $7 a nu/coconut 😖
