  • On the banks of the North Fork of the Provo River, at the base of Sundance Mountain Resort, is where you'll find Brian Wimmer and the Sundance Fly Shop. Brian is the owner and fly fishing guide for Fly Fishing Provo River. In this episode, he takes us to the Lower Provo to fish for big brown trout and rainbow trout. He also shows us his favorite rigs to set up for the Provo, and tells us why he's so passionate about conservation on this Blue Ribbon Fishery.

Adam, I'd love to see some coverage of the loss of river access there. It's really unfortunate.

One of the great loves of my life is the Lower Provo River. This episode with my pal Brian Wimmer is epic fishing at his perfect secret spot. See you at Sundance!

Thanks for the video. Could you tell me if Brian ties his bounce rig flies off of dropper tags? If so, how does he tie his tags?

If it weren't on video I'd not believe it. I can't catch anything on that river.

New to fly fishing, planning a survival camping trip where I can only eat what I catch, looking over the Provo for a place I can put up a hammock and camp near the Provo. Any suggestions?

Look towards the upper prover where it feeds into the reservoir. If you go too high up it gets into private property, but stay close to the reservoir and you'll be fine. Time it right and you can hit the Kokanee run.

Take 300 to 400$ out of your pocket.
