That's what I've been saying too. All the "ultimate" weapons are pretty much the original weapons before all the nerfs. Please also mention there is no guarantee that the ultimate weapons won't get nerfed in the future if more and more people get them.

Maybe there would also be some quests to do for ultimates, like to get ue igniter you need maxed igniter+ 50 kills with it, something to get people to play around with older weapons and mix things up a bit
It does feel underhanded with this "ultimate" revamping. We all want to see our old weapons on the dancefloor, they have familiar mechanics and we can try new combinations with bots and drones that were not out at the time so its quite exciting. Completely agree what a great idea trading your old weapons in that would be fair to both parties 👌 I hope Pixonic are paying attention to your videos recently. The corpse of the cash cow has no more to give, a mere husk of its former self....
Basic summary: I love the flamethrowers, I don’t love having to get new ones. Your idea was pretty damn awesome Manni thanks for trying to help this doomed company lol. It’s also kinda funny how the Ophion basically completely power creeps the Fafnir, having much more speed and like half its cooldown and also technically having more firepower cuz the Ophion built in weapons are pretty broken. And the Ophion isn’t even ‘that op’ compared to crap like the Newton and Ohokochi lmao
As much as there are things pixonic has done wrong, I would like to let you know that pixonic redistributed the upgrade costs for MK1 and MK2 robots, which is wonderful for free to play players. The new upgrade system allows free to play players to get MK2 equipment without grinding out hours worth of silver. The costs of upgrading to MK1 levels 9 through 12 was reduced dramatically (From about 170 million silver to about 50 million silver). Another positive change we have seen is the massive rewards from the PvE mode, giving up to 27 million silver, 1450 gold, 450 platinum, and 2 upgrade tokens per week. This has allowed for some much needed infusion of resources into the war robots economy. Manni, I think if you make a video highlighting good things that pixonic has done, it might (very slim chance) encourage them to make other positive changes to the game.

Manni's idea of maxxing out weapons to turn them into ultimate is a really impressive idea but maybe you can have ultimate which is overall worse than normal mk3 but has a gimick like a status effect like the flames sort of like wot where you pick a line.

I have four freedom igniters used on Typhon (yes, my poor version of the ultimate crap thingy) and oh boy, they work wonders, but there's a little caveat as you well said, Manni... anticipation and a skillful player is needed to fully take advantage of them. Otherwise, They're so frustrating as one could see how lateral speed and specially vertical descent/ascend targets are impossible to hit... I would pair them with a lockdown module or Typhon's ability to really shine. On the plus side, with time and practice you can master them and make enemies burn in hell xD.

Personally I think they should nerf or completely remove upgrade times. Why should we have to wait a week for 1 robot upgrade that probably won’t be noticeable if we don’t have gold?
I doubt that the business model will change... Just before the ultimate versions, they changed the terms and conditions, where we accepted that pixonic can weaken characteristics of the purchased items and even eliminate them and, the end user will not receive any refund or compensation.
Everything you said is very true and fair. Especially about the meta switch. When the meta shifts, the old meta bot does not need to be completely destroyed for no reason (like with fafnir's flight speed nerf) and you're absolutely right that increasing fafnir's flight speed would not jeopardize the meta or be a massive threat to the current meta at all. Why render something completely useless just to make way for the new meta?

I was chomping at the bit to do this exact video years ago. It just doesn't end. I remember they used to just do it and not tell us, we had a sheet to view the stats of each robot and weapon graph and you actually did a video on it. The graph was white, light pink and light yellow bars and showed all the resistance of damage per level per type of damage. They stopped that quickly tho as everyone started changing their hangers to be well rounded

I agree on the UE's. I think it would even be fair to require some crazy number of upgrade tokens in order to upgrade them to the UE. Something like 15 upgrade tokens but at least it would reward them for upgrading their old equipment. Pixonic always finds a way to screw over their customers.
Love the content Manni as always. Could you do a demeter build? It's my most powerful robot with the pilot that heals grey HP. I found the hazards to be very effect but I'd love to see what you would run. Being able to teleport to either brawl, support, escape, or capture beacons while activating an absorber shield is epic.

8 years ago, players use igniters to instant kill their enemies. After 8 years, player use Ultimate igniters to instantly kill their enemies. We are using the exact same thing after these years, and the only diffetence is the deadly price for obtaining those New old equipments. That was really sad.
My complaint to developers is that I Paid to advance Fafnir to run at a certain speed and by Nerf they defrauded me of my purchase amount, same with defence points, weapon outputs etc..
I agree with your proposal to be able to upgrade a fully maxed normal weapon into a level 1 ultimate variant. I think that would be more than fair to those of us that just want to be micro spenders and have fun. I have an MK3 mender. I bought it when the legendary pilot came in. I love it. Oh, the things I wouldn't give for an Ultimate Mender. The trading is the best idea I'v ever heard about ultimate stuff. I would difenetly trade it.
Imagine telling the community you are going to buff old weapons, until they learn instead of making those changes to the weapons and robots themselves, a brand "new" weapon is made that you have to buy to use
Thing is trading normal stuff for ultimate rather than just completely ignoring your previous progress on the old weapons would also do more profit for pixonic because if you wanna get ultimate version you first have to get the parts for it, then lvl it to mk3, then trade it for ultimate version and finally lvl it back up gives more investments unlike the scam 10k gold for a small chance for another draw that’s even smaller chance to win ultimate
And in this video , everything is said . Just look at the first trailer for the fafnir robot : they advertise it as a raider = fast and as a titan killer = 200% more damages to titan (or it was a bit more if I’m right) now , its slow af and only does 150% more damages to titan which is kinda ridiculous compared to what pixonic is releasing nowadays . Its sad , but ill still play this robot , because 1/4 of my games, I can truly enjoy it and do some kills .
I'm trying to use the Fafnir again. 99% of my hangar is MK I robots and weapons but the other day i was looking through my inventory and found a MK II Fafnir randomly! I NEVER recalled having or upgrading a MK II Fafnir! Maybe it was in a chest or something that i completely forgot about but it was so random! I know it's not meta anymore but it's already more leveled up than almost my entire hangar so might as well use it I guess!
I really dont understand why they made ultimate blaze and igniter this way, comparing to other ultimate weapons who are directly upped in stats compared to regular version, they also added a slow effect for some reason, like it wasnt strong enough. Flamethrowers were already very strong with decent clip size, reload and clip empty time, bypassing physical shields made it strong enough to even be used in master league, while also being only T3 weapon. The ultimate version punches everything known about the flamethrowers TROUGH THE ROOF, gj pixonix
Ultimate is a problem because 90% of the time ftp can't get it especially now where getting the data pads is hard to get (since its only for the top points (aka those that pay) and the chance of getting it if you do get the data pad is still impossibly low so being ftp its impossble to get ultimate things And i want manni's solution to making ultimates it would be avaliable to everyone (still very hard for ftp but not impossible since on rare occasions ftp do get the upgrade tokens so it would be possible just take time and effort)
Imagine all robots got their original strength for a day to see the meta from today and yesterday go at it and see which meta is the true dominator It would be utter chaos everywhere on the map
Dude the trading max igniters for min level U igniters is actually a very good idea, but I guess for some weapons like the punishers that they’re about to launch the players will be getting too good a deal.
Your idea to trade maxed equipment for ultimate versions is cool, but a little too easily exploited by P2W players. They will see the next ultimate announcement, for example Fenrir, and then they will quickly rush to fully upgrade several MK3 Fenrirs and then they can trade those for multiple ultimate Fenrirs when it gets released. The only way around would be either to not announce the next ultimate (which I think is a bad idea) or say that players needed to have a maxed Fenrir for, say, six months in order to be eligible to trade it in for an ultimate version.

Since Fafnir can land before its shield drops... Might be amusing to use it as pseudo Ophion...Landing right before shield drops and taking off to deal damage. Heck the bypass should counter the 2 weapons vs 4 on Ophion
I think that even if they are gonna buff the old robots they wont buff the robot itself but add a ultimate version. Like for real now i think the ultimate stuff is ruining the game because buff needing gear is not gonna get buffed and instead get a ultimate version that cant be uptained for free
I’ve added it to my hanger, the ultimate pulsar corrupted fafnir, I still think it’s one of the highest DPS if you get charged up fully. I’m finding after the nerf some bots are unusable, khepri (too slow), angler (too slow) even lynx is lame now. Needle or rust weapons are useless now. Redeemers are back onto my lynx as they do good damage against the ochochochi. So you get new weapons upgrade them and enjoy using them for 1 month and they get nerfed.😢
LOL. Let's think this through. I could imagine reaching like 150k people realistically with a call to actioin to "let's buy War Robots". If everyone gave 10, then we would have 1.5M... Something tells me that this isn't even remotely close to what we would need to actually buy this thing. Although - i guess that the sinking ship with plenty of holes in it shouldn't be all that expensive anymore, either^^
Another way to make them accessible is to put them in ultimate win thing with a chance to include every ultimate thing (just in case you didnt realise pixie made that feature somewhat ok)
They secretly decreased the chances of winning the Ultimate win cell and they added useless Paladin components. Like, most of the times you'll be getting 1k components for an upgrade token. Trust me, i've spent enough upgrade tokens
That's true, that advantage in a weapon is excessive like the ochocochi, but other ultimate weapons are weaker in comparison, thanks for bring to the battle one of my favorites robots, Fafnir was my first superchest robot in bronze league and was my best robot till I reach gold league even with the nerf I destroy many Kid 😂
Manni, we are in nostalgia at this moment of WR. There is actually no hope of revival here. The recent updates are a mock to the whole WR community. If the urge to play outweighs the current situation, it’s only a matter of time before the latter outweigh the first!
I hope pixonic adds trading with players, Titan's and platinum only get traded if they are chosen, and normal robots and weapons are in the same category
Im guessing manny has also noticed how then the swarm was easier and gave more pt pix didn’t like being nice and gave less again and made it harder then it was, even now i have to try 2-3 times to get plat on the 3rd

Instead of buffing stuff we already have. They buff them as ulti version for more money. And abouT uLT version: i think making mission and those mission unlock when you have them mk3
If they accept this suggestion, they may put like 10 upgrade tokes or more to transit to ultimate mode, at the end it will only be benefits to paid users.
The gap between paying and non paying players is already astronomical and now with all of these ultimate weapons coming into the game that only the paying players will have the gap between those two groups of players will be insurmountable no matter what the non paying players do. They are literally just cannon fodder these days. It's truly sad what thus game has become. I used to spend every month quite a lot of money to keep up with the current meta but today it's gotten to a point where it's just ridiculous. There's so much they expect you to pay for if you want to have any success. I've completely lost the love I had for this game and I was playing for over 9 years when I decided enough was enough and quit. Best decision I ever made and now I enjoy another mech game that is once again fun to play and doesn't cost the earth to be competitive.
The reason those ultimate things are so hard to get is, that Pixonic know very well that those are OP. But, those things being NOT widely spread (due to the difficulty actually getting it), they don't impact the meta. If Pixonic would follow Mannis suggestion, more people might be able to get it and eventually, if it would get out of hand, they would be forced to nerf them. And as an ultimate super expensive item, they do not plan to do so. That is why it's expensive to get. And of course thet 2nd reason is --> money🙃

I never noticed the cheaper upgrades but those pve matches have been so great and much more frequent than it started

I agree with your proposal to be able to upgrade a fully maxed normal weapon into a level 1 ultimate variant. I think that would be more than fair to those of us that just want to be micro spenders and have fun. I was wondering if you think that's a realistic possibility or if it's just a bit of hopeful musing...

I have an MK3 mender. I bought it when the legendary pilot came in. I love it. Oh, the things I wouldn't give for an Ultimate Mender. The trading is the best idea I'v ever heard about ultimate stuff. I would difenetly trade it.

Imagine telling the community you are going to buff old weapons, until they learn instead of making those changes to the weapons and robots themselves, a brand "new" weapon is made that you have to buy to use
That idea is a terrific compromise
Thing is trading normal stuff for ultimate rather than just completely ignoring your previous progress on the old weapons would also do more profit for pixonic because if you wanna get ultimate version you first have to get the parts for it, then lvl it to mk3, then trade it for ultimate version and finally lvl it back up gives more investments unlike the scam 10k gold for a small chance for another draw that’s even smaller chance to win ultimate
And in this video , everything is said . Just look at the first trailer for the fafnir robot : they advertise it as a raider = fast and as a titan killer = 200% more damages to titan (or it was a bit more if I’m right) now , its slow af and only does 150% more damages to titan which is kinda ridiculous compared to what pixonic is releasing nowadays . Its sad , but ill still play this robot , because 1/4 of my games, I can truly enjoy it and do some kills .
I'm trying to use the Fafnir again. 99% of my hangar is MK I robots and weapons but the other day i was looking through my inventory and found a MK II Fafnir randomly!
I NEVER recalled having or upgrading a MK II Fafnir! Maybe it was in a chest or something that i completely forgot about but it was so random!
I know it's not meta anymore but it's already more leveled up than almost my entire hangar so might as well use it I guess!
I really dont understand why they made ultimate blaze and igniter this way, comparing to other ultimate weapons who are directly upped in stats compared to regular version, they also added a slow effect for some reason, like it wasnt strong enough. Flamethrowers were already very strong with decent clip size, reload and clip empty time, bypassing physical shields made it strong enough to even be used in master league, while also being only T3 weapon. The ultimate version punches everything known about the flamethrowers TROUGH THE ROOF, gj pixonix

Ultimate is a problem because 90% of the time ftp can't get it especially now where getting the data pads is hard to get (since its only for the top points (aka those that pay) and the chance of getting it if you do get the data pad is still impossibly low so being ftp its impossble to get ultimate things
And i want manni's solution to making ultimates it would be avaliable to everyone (still very hard for ftp but not impossible since on rare occasions ftp do get the upgrade tokens so it would be possible just take time and effort)
Imagine all robots got their original strength for a day to see the meta from today and yesterday go at it and see which meta is the true dominator
It would be utter chaos everywhere on the map

Dude the trading max igniters for min level U igniters is actually a very good idea, but I guess for some weapons like the punishers that they’re about to launch the players will be getting too good a deal.
Your idea to trade maxed equipment for ultimate versions is cool, but a little too easily exploited by P2W players. They will see the next ultimate announcement, for example Fenrir, and then they will quickly rush to fully upgrade several MK3 Fenrirs and then they can trade those for multiple ultimate Fenrirs when it gets released. The only way around would be either to not announce the next ultimate (which I think is a bad idea) or say that players needed to have a maxed Fenrir for, say, six months in order to be eligible to trade it in for an ultimate version.

Since Fafnir can land before its shield drops... Might be amusing to use it as pseudo Ophion...Landing right before shield drops and taking off to deal damage. Heck the bypass should counter the 2 weapons vs 4 on Ophion
I think that even if they are gonna buff the old robots they wont buff the robot itself but add a ultimate version. Like for real now i think the ultimate stuff is ruining the game because buff needing gear is not gonna get buffed and instead get a ultimate version that cant be uptained for free
I’ve added it to my hanger, the ultimate pulsar corrupted fafnir, I still think it’s one of the highest DPS if you get charged up fully. I’m finding after the nerf some bots are unusable, khepri (too slow), angler (too slow) even lynx is lame now. Needle or rust weapons are useless now. Redeemers are back onto my lynx as they do good damage against the ochochochi. So you get new weapons upgrade them and enjoy using them for 1 month and they get nerfed.😢

LOL. Let's think this through. I could imagine reaching like 150k people realistically with a call to actioin to "let's buy War Robots". If everyone gave 10, then we would have 1.5M... Something tells me that this isn't even remotely close to what we would need to actually buy this thing. Although - i guess that the sinking ship with plenty of holes in it shouldn't be all that expensive anymore, either^^

Another way to make them accessible is to put them in ultimate win thing with a chance to include every ultimate thing (just in case you didnt realise pixie made that feature somewhat ok)
They secretly decreased the chances of winning the Ultimate win cell and they added useless Paladin components. Like, most of the times you'll be getting 1k components for an upgrade token. Trust me, i've spent enough upgrade tokens

Manni, we are in nostalgia at this moment of WR. There is actually no hope of revival here. The recent updates are a mock to the whole WR community. If the urge to play outweighs the current situation, it’s only a matter of time before the latter outweigh the first!
At least they are a absolute pain to get even one ultimate item. I barely anyone using em. In top leagues sure, i agree with you.
I hope pixonic adds trading with players, Titan's and platinum only get traded if they are chosen, and normal robots and weapons are in the same category
Im guessing manny has also noticed how then the swarm was easier and gave more pt pix didn’t like being nice and gave less again and made it harder then it was, even now i have to try 2-3 times to get plat on the 3rd

Sure they would be more common. In other words: The content would actually be available to players rather than being locked behind an impossible pay / luck wall. And if it was more common it wouldn’t need to be so tremendously OP
Manni I’m pretty sure you know this that the ochokochi literally gets leech level 900 defence points if shot during the ability because of the legendary pilot So I think even if you have UE flame throwers you should never shot the ochokochi because you are literally giving that piece of crap OP machine free 90% resistance so if you see this comment please stop shooting at ochokochis
Instead of buffing stuff we already have. They buff them as ulti version for more money.
And abouT uLT version: i think making mission and those mission unlock when you have them mk3
If they accept this suggestion, they may put like 10 upgrade tokes or more to transit to ultimate mode, at the end it will only be benefits to paid users.
The gap between paying and non paying players is already astronomical and now with all of these ultimate weapons coming into the game that only the paying players will have the gap between those two groups of players will be insurmountable no matter what the non paying players do.
They are literally just cannon fodder these days. It's truly sad what thus game has become. I used to spend every month quite a lot of money to keep up with the current meta but today it's gotten to a point where it's just ridiculous. There's so much they expect you to pay for if you want to have any success. I've completely lost the love I had for this game and I was playing for over 9 years when I decided enough was enough and quit.
Best decision I ever made and now I enjoy another mech game that is once again fun to play and doesn't cost the earth to be competitive.

The reason those ultimate things are so hard to get is, that Pixonic know very well that those are OP. But, those things being NOT widely spread (due to the difficulty actually getting it), they don't impact the meta. If Pixonic would follow Mannis suggestion, more people might be able to get it and eventually, if it would get out of hand, they would be forced to nerf them. And as an ultimate super expensive item, they do not plan to do so. That is why it's expensive to get. And of course thet 2nd reason is --> money🙃
