The July 1996 version of Interactive CD Sampler in this video was bundled with Windows 95 OSR 2, 2.1 and 2.5 CDs, replacing the Microsoft Exposition from the pre-OSR 2 versions of Windows 95. The full version is dated October 1996 and was released on a separate 636-megabyte CD, it includes trial versions of 17 titles, more multimedia demos and videos, another version of Publisher 97 demo, and also Internet Explorer 3 (that wasn't present in July '96 version).
The first videogame I ever played as a kid was Pac-man on this Return of the Arcade demo, followed by the Hellbender demo. I miss these simpler times so much.
Also I saw this version of CD Sampler as seen in this video on Microsoft Memphis (pre-Windows 98) builds 1353 & 1423 CDs. CD Sampler can also be seen on "Microsoft Works & Microsoft Money" CD from September 1996
Can you tell us what software you used to do this? Virtualbox? PCEM? I'm curious because I've been running this on both of those emulators and they've both got stuttering in the audio. Virtualbox with 200% scaling looks nice, but I don't want audio stutter. Very curious how you did it.
This video makes me feel incredibly warm and fuzzy inside. Thank you!
Finally, someone who has a full recording of all the cd samplers.
Ahhhhh!! I've been searching for this!!!! Thank you so much for uploading this!!!

6:38 - Rocky the Dog later moved to Microsoft Office (from Office 97?), which had lived up until removal of Office Assistant in Office 2007
