This was one of my favorite 90s CDs
all of these songs are awesome
Hardly muddled.. this is a overlooked gem of it's day! It's one of few albums I listen too at ludicrous, windows shake, neighbor's hate you volume... It's a total rhythm player's (no lead player to distract from content) gem album!!!

I used to work at a bookstore and my manager had said that he toured with Marcy's Playground and would talk about it. I play guitar some and we decided to jam one night. He came over to my apt after work in 2010 sometime and I had thin floors and he started playing my guitar and singing REALLY REALLY LOUD! I let it go a little while because it was committed I guess but then the chorus hit and I stopped him and he was like "I'VE TOURED WITH MARCY'S PLAYGROUND!! I'VE HAD THOUSANDS OF PEOPLE SINGING MY SONGS AND NO ONE HAS EVER TOLD ME TO BE QUIET!!!!" I just pointed at the door and told him to get the fuck out. The next day at work he pulled me into his office and drew a little dot on a piece of paper and said that it was the town where I played mostly and said that I was never leaving it and I cussed him out and flicked him off all on camera and he went on a crazy rage that ended up with him getting fired. He's probably hanging around in down town by himself with so much time to sit and think about himself.

If John, a friend I haven't caught up with for almost 30 years, had people like that touring with him, that would explain a lot. So sorry on behalf of the singer songwriter who would be appalled to hear this story. Guy sounds like a menace to society.
Hmm that's seriously a mistake on all levels, first off did you not know what was instore at all and if you had thin floors why the fuck did you have him play with you in your apartment? Totally screwed up to think it was going to be a indiefolk music whisperfest don't you think?
