    Girl, you're speaking my language here! I had a ton of health problems in my early 20s and did a Lyme test to rule it out. The test came back with seven positive IgM bands on an Ingenix test, and the doc who administered the test told me it was a PAST infection and not to worry about it (I didn't know any better at the time, unfortunately). The results actually showed a very positive current infection, but I never treated it, and am now dealing with it, among other things, some 15 years later. It's crazy how bad some doctors can be! I have to constantly remind myself that they see tons of people and have no real vested interest in curing me, personally. I (we all) have to do my own research. Thanks for the video! :)

    • @LifeDIY
      @LifeDIY  11 місяців тому +2

      Lauren, thank you so much for sharing this. First, I am so sorry you are dealing with that. I know for anyone with a complicated health issue like Lyme, you've likely experienced lots of difficulties with doctors not helping you. It is sad that they don't personally have a vested interest in what you're dealing with. I think we probably have a lot of similarities. I also really want to thank you for mentioning that specific test. I looked into it before and then forgot about it. I was recently thinking back to when I was 9, recalling that I had a very prominent bullseye rash on my stomach, yet my mom thought it was ringworm and I am now currently wondering if it was a tick bite and Lyme. Just to be sure, I am going to ask my doctor friend to order it for me. I am sorry you're still dealing with issues from Lyme so many years later. I hope things only get better. 🙏

    I had been hospitalized for acute renal failure with an eGFR of 18 (Very close to stage 5). My urologist (who knew of my hospitalization) a couple weeks later did a metabolic profile which showed my eGFR was 24. He gave me a prescription for an prostate MRI with contrast dye using gadolinium. Days before my MRI, I read an article from National Kidney Foundation stating how toxic gadolinium was for people with kidney disease particularly if your eGFR is less than 30. It can cause irreversible damage to the already weakened kidneys and possibly make it necessary to be on dialysis for life. I had to confront the doctor. He didn't even apologize. He simply rewrote the prescription for MRI without contrast. When I went for the MRI, they were prepared to give me the injection of gadolinium before my scan and had to confront them as well and insist that the scan be done without contrast. I now follow the advise of a naturopathic doctor who specializes in kidney disease. I'm' happy to say my eGFR is now 66 and I'm living a healthy active life at age 75.

      I am so sorry you went through that but so glad to hear that you did your research and protected yourself from that guy's negligence, which could have caused you lifelong problems. That's terrible he didn't apologize, but I am not surprised. I'm also unfortunately not surprised that they didn't know what they were doing when preparing for your MRI. This is frightening how these medical experiences can occur. I've finally realized now to always keep your guard up and question every single detail of what is going on when you're going in for a procedure. It took me years to realize that. I recently had a bad experience that caused me problems for a year and a bunch of money. It's much less serious than your situation was, but I had medical issues after a recent skin cancer surgery and biopsies. I shared it in some videos. Sometimes it's difficult to find competent people. I am so happy to hear that your eGFR is now so much better and that you're doing great at 75! Thank you so much for sharing that. If you have any advice on preserving and protecting kidney function, feel free to share it. :) Thank you so much for taking the time to watch this and comment.

    I have also a 'funny' story, about 10 years ago a doctor said that I will have glaucoma and I need to take drugs against it now. He did it after seeing several digital data sheets and pictures of my eyes. I felt that it was somehow too fast. I went to another and said it could be only characteristic of my eye, but not an illness. Until today nothing happened ... There's only one incorrect diagnosis mentioned by me, but there were other sad situations, showing doctors 'laziness' or simply incompetence. What is important it's about best medical facilities in my country, where it happened.
    I think often, doctors are or are not well educated even if they have certificates or passed exams and studied (they can forget or not update knowledge in time) or have very good salaries and are simply lazy.
    Of course, I admire the people for whom knowledge and care of their patients are very important and they do their job in a professional way !

    • @LifeDIY
      @LifeDIY  Рік тому +2

      I too greatly admire a doctor who is doing a great job - one who stays up to date with research and their field and who tries to help the patient find the root cause of the issue. I also appreciate doctors who treat you as an individual and really listen and have a way of looking at the whole picture. I've only had one doctor like that in the past 5 or so years and I am so grateful I found her. Your 'funny' story is so extremely similar to my vision misdiagnosis. That's pretty much what happened to me too. I am just happy they were wrong about it. It is interesting to hear that it happened at one of the best medical facilities in your country.

    This video was really good and hit home. Long, long story short.......Recently my middle aged wife had a lung infection. Not from the imaginary you know what. Ended up at the ER. They did a scan and found what they thought was some progression of cancer she has been battling in her liver. Did a biopsy that went south and she nearly bled to death right in front of me. I remained in ICU holding an oxygen mask on her face trying to keep her calm as she was in and out of consciousness and they tried to find an uncollapsed vein to do a transfusion. Once stable they had to go back in to fix the bleed and used a dye to track the bleeding that shut down her kidneys. She ended up in a coma for over 3 weeks on a vent (later trach)/dialysis while a 3 ring circus of "dr's" floundered around while preparing me for what they were convinced would be the worst possible outcome. She went through absolute h$%ll. I was at the hospital nearly round the clock 7 days a week for 10 weeks studying like mad to do my best to advocate for her and ensure no additional mistakes were made on every front. In the end and against great odds she overcame the lung issue, kidney damage,liver damage and exited the coma. She has had to go through a ton of physical therapy to relearn to walk and regain normal physical function. In those weeks I learned a lot about how insanely dysfunctional and lost and dangerous main stream medicine really is. I wish for no one to ever have to go through what she/we did.

    • @LifeDIY
      @LifeDIY  11 місяців тому +1

      I am a bit speechless after reading this. It is horrifying to hear what you both have gone through. I am sorry she went through that. Thankfully you were there to advocate for her. You are right, that no one should ever be put through that. The system is broken. I hope she is doing better now and continues to get better. 🙏

      @@LifeDIY Hi Holly, thank you for your response and kind words. You are an real inspiration. Wife is on the mend. Still dealing with stage 4 cancer in a somewhat weakened state but we are working through it. We had made it a point to stay away from main stream medicine as much as possible but with the initial lung issue which would not resolve on its own despite our best efforts we had no choice. Little did we realize what should have been a day or two at the hospital would have turned into an almost 3 month battle to save her life from what they did to her. Along the way I met other family members who had loved ones in the hospital who had suffered similar circumstances so this sort of thing was not an isolated event. I also wanted to commend you on your stand against taking "the thing(s) we can't talk about in free America" after what happened to you in the military where people are treated like lab rats. I have done a ton of research in this area and have learned, through science, the medical/historical record and court cases (including a somewhat recent German sup court case) that the tiny particles we have been made to fear are largely imaginary. Love what you are doing. Keep up the great work. The Stapler

    I came a long way with similar issues.
    I would suggest to check (if you haven’t done already):
    Get your Vit-D levels up to 100 mcg/l (and add Vit K2 / for preventing your breast cancer prognosis)
    Check on intermittent fasting (Jason Fung) and get down to one meal a day
    If it helps (what I strongly believe), I d be happy to suggest/share more along your journey of bio hacking yourself

    Do you remember when UA-cam was actually "you tube", instead of its current day manifestation of "corporate tube" or maybe more accurately "authoritarian globalist tube"? lol
    The good old days of the wild west where anyone could rise the ranks by simply living and expressing their truth. I personally miss that time with this platform.
    I completely resonate and agree wholeheartedly with this video of yours. I love that you're unafraid to speak truth to power while sharing your personal experiences on a very corrupt and damaged system.
    I will point out however that the UA-cam algorithms are probably not going to take to kindly to this sort of video. I don't know the extent to the complexity to their system, but I do know it's complex, and it does not support those who challenge the existing external power structure that rules over our current land. I've never been one to bow to that sort of thing either, but it does come with consequences. I guess the more aware a person is to something, the better they can play their cards, depending on their objectives.
    What I experienced from this platform during the pandemic was extremely eye opening. We're way past the time of this being a level playing field of sharing content. There are definitely examples of those who have risen above the fray. I think in terms of people like Russell Brand, Jordan Peterson, Kim Iversen, and Glenn Greenwald, but they have also had to deal with some pretty heavy attack campaigns against them. At least the first two.
    Again, great video! It's actually one of my favorites that I've watched from you.
    Oh, and digestive enzymes are also really good to aid with digestive issues. An example would be 'Super Enzymes' by Now. That's if it's something you have never looked into before.

    Wow Holly !! How many days in advance would you suggest stopping all supplements and certain foods and drinks before getting our blood and urine drawn? I am certain I have some kidney issues but my numbers came back supposedly normal . I had been taking Vitamin C and Vitamin K supplements before the day drawing since I take those everyday . But now that you say what you said , I’m wondering if I should retake them but with stopping all supplements beforehand but I’m just not sure how long is long enough so that it doesn’t influence test results…..
    Ok , I’m almost at the end of your video and see what you advised …loL
    Did you use Ultalabs to get the Cstatin (??) test done ? So I know what to look for …

    • @LifeDIY
      @LifeDIY  Рік тому

      That's good if your kidney numbers are normal. If you wanted to, you could get it checked with the Cystatin C test here: www.ultalabtests.com/test/cystatin-c-with-egfr it is $40 for that test, plus eGFR, which is the standard kidney function test. For me, I just stop the supplements for two to three days before my test and I hold off on taking thyroid medicine that morning until after my test is done. But, everyone is different and I am not sure how much people are impacted by this. I just know that my numbers are greatly impacted when I take anything around the time of the test.

    The Healthcare system in general is terrible. Doctors are basically a factory now, with a patient every 15 minutes. You go to the E.R., and its absolutely brutal. The Dr. comes in once for maybe three minutes, then they run a couple of tests. You sit and wait for three hours, with no nurses checking on you at all. Then they diagnose everything as anxiety. The Dr. never comes back, and your Insurance is charged, and a remaining bill is sent. The Healthcare System is horrible, and oftentimes Doctors dont diagnose you. You basically have to google your symptoms these days, and diagnose yourself. Their all cashcows at this point. My Doctor never follows up with a phone call when i go to the ER, and hes affiliated with the Hospital ER ive gone to many times. I call to talk to him, and his wife answers the phone " hello ".

Thank you for pushing the truth and the right way to fix bodies! By the way you look great and beautiful and so you demonstrate that you are doing the right things for your body! I think you should start to define and push FUNCTIONAL MEDECINE as this is the only medecine which search for the REAL and UNDERLYING CAUSE of the sickness then fix it with either supplements or food mainly...this is what normal medecine should be...but normal medecine treat SYMPTOMS not the CAUSE of the problem...a small % are real doctors and do what functional medecine do...By the way, you did not answer my last comment on your "chipmunk video"...please answer it. Regarding those drinks - yeah I used to drink them too a long time ago. If you like adding something like coconut milk to your coffee, there's one really great product that I use and it's Thai Kitchen Coconut Milk (sold at Walmart and other stores) and it just contains water & coconut. Also there are studies showing that these gums/emulsifiers are really bad for your health and gut. There was a recent study about it, but I can't seem to find it.

      The "Thai Kitchen Coconut Milk" came up when I was looking for alternatives. Thanks for the tip Holly.👍🏽

      Sounds about right! I've learned to do the opposite of whatever the U.S. health agencies recommend for our diet and the food pyramid too.

    anyway, i am a fan of antibiotics. there are ways to regulate your gut/stomach flora so i see no reason why not use antibiotics when needed.
    the fact that we were over dosed with it, and we had it used upon us in an invasive way lead to a antibiotic-phobia so to speak. but if took properly antibiotics are life savers.

      I'm glad if they work for you. For me, if I need my life saved, I will take them! 😉 Otherwise I will do without them. 🙏

      @@LifeDIY well i agree, i don't use them all the time either 😆i am just not shy of using them when needed🙂 but in all honesty, there are some pretty scary antibiotics out there with some severe side effects. i tend to stay away from those. my antibiotic of choice is amoxicillin, which is a mild and very efficient antibiotic. it fell out of favor because it is said that it's not that effective anymore, because of idk what antibiotics resistance thing, but... idk, they seem to work for me every time.
