Hi Sharon! I hope you get this message. I saw a video of your gnome house a couple of years ago and just loved it so I started building my own.I did not work on it steady but once in a while when I had time and supplies. I lived in Indiana at the time and while I was working on my gnome house I sent pictures of it to my daughters in Florida. They loved what I was working on at the time and wished they could help me with it. My hubby and I have some health problems and decided to move to Florida so our kids now grown could help us.When we moved some how the gnome house I was working on did not get in the moving truck. When we got to our new home I was very upset that all that work ( even though it was not finished ) was now gone. The best news is now my girls are excited that we can now make this as a family project like they have always wanted and I can spend more time with them. I cannot thank you enough for showing how you made your gnome house and the great ideas you had. We will be using many of those ideas in our new gnome house. I have already found the box I will be building on. The girls have ideas of how they want to help with. Thanks again and God Bless your channels and all your work.
The materials you use are all super simple things that most people already have in their house but then you make this amazing thing. It's really surprising to me. This is the best dollhouse that I've ever seen.
Your sense of whimsy and magic are like a breath of fresh air. Along with your sweet personality ! That Gnome Home couldn't be more enchanting. Wish I was tiny enough to join Paddington bear for tea ☕.
I just love these videos so so much i just watch them over and over. Your definitely my favourite You Tuber. Thanks so much Sharon for sharing this amazing little world with us. I'm so looking forward to your next video and I can't wait to show you my finished Tree House on your FB page.
I just watched this again, and I really love the post office in the Gnome House! Could you do a tutorial about how to make the furniture for the post office? I'm thinking of making a little post office for my gnomes. So far I've made a Post Office scale for weighing letters. I tried to copy the one I saw in your video, and it turned out pretty good! Thanks for sharing your wonderful Gnome House! ~Janet in Canada
So lovely!! I want to live there;) How do you get such texture on the "bark"? When I add masking tape over the tinfoil I lose most of the texture. I've watched and re-watched your UA-cam videos on making fake bark but I must be missing something because the texture is just not there.
Ok thanks I'll try that. I don't mean this to sound cheesy but you have really inspired me to tap into my craft loving inner self and I've had the most fun learning from you and trying your techniques. I'd love to see a tutorial on making those adorable mice from clay. If you have one available will you point me to it please?
doesn't sound cheesy at all, I actually love that! No tutorial on the mice but will work on getting one up as soon as I possibly can. I got lots going on right now but a tutorial for the creatures has been on my mind lately for sure. Thanks for asking :)
I have subscribed! this is so adorable. have you made this into a childrens story book? it's the loveliest thing I've seen in a very long time. should be made into a t.v. series for kiddies.
I do, it's called the Gnome's Bed & Breakfast. The updates start in the list at update 13 and go back to update 9. All videos before that are on my other channel. Let me know if you would like to see those as well ua-cam.com/play/PLNTd5TaUo3qh0DUZdEaf45MQ8khHHoPA6.html
Thank you :). Hope you're feeling better. The art you make is whimsical and enchanting. I'm currently working on a doll house. I'd post a picture if I could.
thank you, yes, feeling much better. If you have facebook, you can post on my page Dollhouses and The Things That Go In Them facebook.com/AwesomeDollhouses/
I had a look on your Facebook page but could only find the video in which you installed puke lights not fairy lights. Can you share a link on here to it? Thank you x
Ello I can't find the video that you shared that has the tiny crocheted Bob Ross and I remember looking up and the artist, I think was from Sacramento California ,which is just a few hours from me, but now I can't find it and I would really love her name or business name or what video of yours that I found it on . there was a link and then like I saw her Facebook page and now I can't find it at all. I hope that maybe you happen to see this message and have an opportunity at some point to tell me. thanks again so much for your beautiful art and sharing .bless your heart!
Thanks for the kind words! I never had him in a video, but I took photos of him and told a story about him on my facebook page. Her name is Kim Sofia and her facebook is Kim's Sticks and Strings facebook.com/KimsCreepyCreations/
It would be so awesome to watch real little mice or hamsters, in tiny vests and even tinier little diapers (because of course), running through there and eating little bits of food and hanging out. You could add a hamster wheel that looks like a water wheel. So many possibilities. I love your work!
haha yes he's still upset about them, he doesn't like cats, at all ;) And that's the problem with needle felted things, they're good for looking at on a shelf but once you give them a life it's hard to keep them looking so good and clean. I'm actually thinking about giving Gnomey (and the other felted gnomes) different bodies with fabric clothing. We'll see..
Oooh, like Sir Horn! I think he might be able to give you some patterns, he dresses really debonair! I wonder if his mom gave him some as his china collection... (it was china collection right?)
I don't have a video yet. I have explained it in a blog post, however, I wouldn't call it a tutorial. I explained the process with some photos. I'll give you the link to the round top here and in the next reply the other one I made www.sharonojala.com/2016/01/Miniature-Round-Top-Trunk-Dollhouse.html
You are so talented! I'm very happy you started making videos again, sorry about the health problems you were going through. I've been checking regularly for your new videos to get some inspiration. I've been making fairy homes for 5 years and I actually have an etsy shop, www.etsy.com/shop/MysticalDwellings , to sell little additions. I'm not sure if you've considered doing that, you'd be great at it 😊
Wonderful gnome house. Thanks for sharing your art.

Love it all. Do you have a tutorial on adding a room? I would also like information on the base and how you make the floors.
It's awesome, wow so much work and time, fantastic! Would a soft white life maybe look better than the blue white?

you make most of the texture with the paper towel by scrunching it up, overlap it too.

Hello:) I'm looking through your videos because I thought you mentioned having a tutorial for making the steamer trunks.
