I think the plexi glass is a great idea for a tough problem. I would like to suggest that you take it to a glass shop and ask them to buff the edges and corners so you dont have to worry about any one getting scratched on it, That should also hush some of the 'how dare you commenters" lol

You are wonderful! I couldn’t imagine saying anything to you about how you raise your kids or just how you do your family. I love how genuine you are and how real you are so please don’t change, stay the same. We need real raw families to relate to and to just not feel alone . We all have our things our own families do. Thank you for sharing.
We have raised our kids always having to adapt the environment and think out of the box for solutions. Would split pool noodles glued to the plexiglass edges be a temporary fix ? I know the mental fatigue you both have but you are wonderful.

You know your kids. You also live with an Angel 24/7. Unless someone has walked several miles in your shoe they have no where to talk. You continually make hard decisions in order to give all 6 of your kids the best life possible. Please just know you are doing a wonderful job. Having "average" kids and special needs kids and making sure they all know they are loved everyday is a hard job. You are a great parent and all your kids feel the love. YOU ARE WONDERFUL!!!!!
I think the plexiglass is a great idea. Why would anyone have a problem with that??? Who cares, Emily, what people think. People are ridiculous these days!

Yes, you have to be creative, trying different things, like with the safety bed! As Griffin gets older, there will be other obsticals to overcome; for now , you do what works now! 🙏♥️✌️love and prayers
Before you first got the Plexi glass I thought you were going to have to something in the smaller vehicle to keep whoever sat beside Griffin safe and comfortable. I got a lot of shaming for turning my 1 year old forward facing but she got car sick on a 10 minute drive. My doctors only solution was to medicate her every time we got in the car. I was not doing that so I turned her around. So much puke for the couple of weeks we had her rear facing in her convertible car seat. All this to say we all weigh the risk and pick the best option for our kids.
Maybe you could try some kind of mesh instead of the plexiglass? Just an idea, love your videos!

One of the things I noticed about all you videos is that you always feel like you have to defend your actions as a parent. I want you to know that, from my perspective, you seem to be doing everything you can to help you and your children. My wife and I watch all your videos, and we want you to know that we support you, and we encourage you to not worry about the nay-sayers and those who do not understand your situation. I know we are just one family, and maybe our opinions arent valid here. But You are a strong mom and dad. Please do not listen to the negativity that comes up. You are loved. Your family is loved. Keep being the wonderful people that you are.
If the plexiglass protects your children than it's a great tool. I know when I was little I wish we had something like that because we had 7 kids and no personal space in the car that would have been nice to have. So you do what is right for your children. God bless your beautiful family.
It is what it is on the plexi glass - You have do what you have to do. - But I have an idea to ease the worry - what if you got pool noodles and put a slit down them and then hot glue it over the edge of the plexi glass. Just a thought.

I think that getting Griffin out & about is great for him! I think being able to do things together as a family is good for *everyone!* if you need to use that plexi in the van, then do it. Bravo for a creative solution to the issue! Also, hoping for an update on Wyn's hip. I'm hoping it isn't very painful for her!
I’ve been wondering if her hip is better, also. I was hoping Em would mention it! But maybe she just hasn’t thought to do it yet.

I think the plexiglass is an amazingly good idea. You don't have to explain your choices ..but I understand why you do. I would be the same way. You are doing a good job..you both are amazing parents. I binge watched your channel and the main thing I see is LOVE 💕 I know you struggle..I can see the pain in your eyes. Every time you talk about your Mom my eyes fill up with tears..I know that pain. My mom and I used to say that if people heard our conversations they would lock us up and throw away the key LOL when I lost her it almost killed me. My mom was my person.. just like your mom was yours. I wish I could reach through the phone and give you a big hug!! But since I can't do that I want you to know that I pray for your family every night Hang in there mama, I see you and you're doing a good job ❤️❤️

My first time to view your vlogs was when you found out you were pregnant with Posey. I can't believe what a big girl she has grown into! Movie night with the big kids?! That's so cool! She is absolutely adorable, just like your other five!
WOW!!! That was the very 1st blog I ran across too!! She had just found out, from taking the preggers test. Will came into kitchen and Em directed him too the coveted plate, to look under it!! I thought, oh my goodness, they have quite a few now, and going to have another in around 7 or 8 mo.’s!! I’ve got to watch this family and see how they take care of all these kids!!! Love this family!!! (mistake!!- the word is suppose to be covered plate, not COVETED!). But I guess that works too!!

love the plexi glass idea.... im a middle kid and so was always plased in the middle of my brother and sister it got so bad that i would not get in the car and that would happen to me wish i had some when i was little .

Watching from near Ottawa in Canada. I am also a parent of a 5 year old special needs child who pesters his sibling relentlessly during car trips (pinching, kicking, etc.). I thought the plexiglass was an unique solution, but I am wondering if it will affect your insurance coverage or possibly vehicle warranty in any way?

The plexiglass is a good idea. I get it. I have 2 special needs and 1 “normal” daughter. She has to set by one of them and he is the same. Grabbing,pinching,pulling hair,and scratching. I think half the stress of going out shopping is all the stares and whispers you know you’re gonna get Forget those people or I just started asking them would they like to ask me something and that usually nips it in the bud. The kind hearted people will ask me if they can say hello b/c I think they get the “special” side of special needs. That doesn’t bother me at all. Or I’ve even had people ask if they can pray with us. I’m like sure we need all the prayers we can get. One of mine just smiles at everybody. Somedays they enjoy getting out some days they don’t

I thought you can buy bigger cars now where some seats can be on its own away from others. Seats are on either side of the car not in middle like normal cars? Is that not a option? I have a ASD level 3, ADD, ODD child. You gotta do what your gotta do . I've got to separate my kids as well

How come you put the car harness on Sawyer and not Griffin?
It doesn’t keep Griffin up right in the seat!! Angel kids don’t have strong core muscles! He would start drooping over to one side or the other!! Just didn’t work him at all!!
