These two would be the first to beg the SAS would turn up if a terror attack happened around them. How they casually cast disgust, that an ISIS fighter was killed near a suicide, obviously he wasn’t going to use it! And should have been given a free flight to the UK, if he wasn’t already from here. Leave the SAS alone, you have no idea how important that are to this country.

I'm ex MoD (RAF) civilian. You're naïve if you think the MoD are going to divulge information they don't want to. FOI or not. FOI is just mechanism to appease the public. They're not going to tell you anything they don't want to.

Some people just do not want to believe that they are being tricked, or, refuse to admit that they were tricked.
      🎩🪄🐰
Some people oddly prefer to live in denial where their egos feel safe and right and just believe lies.
      😳
Egomaniacs who refuse to ever be wrong are any government's dream. Those people are perfect for the government, believe our lies and support us because it feeds your ego.

They should give the soldiers the Victoria Cross, and send their commanders back to admin. Does the DoD understand that this isn’t a police action but, rather, a fight against evil non-state actors who don’t actually follow any rules of war? The notion that violent action was not required because the terrorist wasn’t actually wearing the bomb vest is so beyond outrageous that it is hard to know how to offer a critique of such a view.

Whether or not the accusations are true or not or justified or not just because the sas are fighting backward people who happily commit war crimes doesnt mean that they themselves dont need to follow the geneva convention. You arent exempt from committing war crimes just because your enemy commits war crimes. It seems there are quite a few incidents, with quite a few different soldiers so we will see the details when they come out. However if they are found to have broken the geneva convention they should be charged.

The situation with the nine British special forces troops facing potential war crimes charges is really serious. They're being investigated for allegedly using excessive force on a suspected terrorist in Syria, which resulted in the person's death. This incident is part of a broader investigation into UK Special Forces' operations in Syria, and the Ministry of Defence has confirmed that the cases are under review.
From a morale perspective, it's essential to remember that the actions of a few individuals don't define the entire military. However, it's crucial that these incidents are thoroughly investigated and that those responsible are held accountable. The use of excessive force is a serious concern, and it can have long-lasting effects on the morale of both the military and the public.
It's also worth noting that Russia's involvement in military operations in Syria has been controverial, with critics arguing that their actions have caused significant harm to civilians and opposition groups. This highlights the importance of proportional responses and adherence to international humanitarian law.
In terms of morale, it's essential to focus on the values of accountability, transparency, and respect for human life. The investigation into the actions of the British special forces troops is a step in the right direction, and it's crucial that the outcome is fair and just.
    *Key Takeaways:*
    - _Accountability_: The investigation into the actions of the British special forces troops is essential for maintaining accountability and trust in the military.
    - _Transparency_: The Ministry of Defence's confirmation that the cases are under review is a positive step towards transparency.
    - _Proportional Response_: The importance of proportional responses and adherence to international humanitarian law cannot be overstated.
    - _Morale_: The outcome of the investigation will have a significant impact on morale, both within the military and among the public.
