The art or storytelling is a tool you can use in your daily life, even if you’re not an author. It is helpful in any field you engage in, helps you market yourself better, become more interesting around people and increase their engagement. Storytelling is an art, and like any other art - maybe you were born with natural talent, but if not, it’s a skill you can develop. Storytelling is actually the ability to take any event, interesting or boring, and turn it into an amazing story. Stories you create with your imagination will usually contain a conflict, a message or a punch, but stories from our daily life are not always like that. However, we can still tell them in a different, more interesting way.

I think this video is really interesting because its true, I mean when someone tells a story and keeps telling unimportant details it gets boring but when someone tells a story fast changing the voice tone it gets funnier and quicker
Another great tip is to tell the story in such a way that the end in not know and walk the listener step by step only telling him/her what you knew at the time. Interesting exercise I’ll try it.

What you didn't mention is that your first story talked about "I" a lot and sounded egocentric. Your second story said "we" and "you" instead and was therefore a lot more engaging.

Thanks for the tip i have storytelling comp and i just practiced with my teacher who is gonna be listening to me for the competition and when i read it she said i need eye contact and a scene to make everyone listen and interesting also foucused

As I am sitting here I am looking at the colorful lights of my colorwheel speaker.. I have food in the microwave and my husband is watching the news... I am wondering, yes I am wondering am I able to do this? Yes I can but.. How? I think and ponder and think practice... I can practice.. but how?... who do I know that tells such wonderful stories.. then I think of Someone.. Look at the birds of the air... there was a Father who had two sons.. and on and on the stories go.. I think to myself.. I know who can help me tell better stories.. and I will keep practicing and keep learning from the story teller.
The crazy thing is my brain didn't comprehend a single word from the first version

Chuu , do you really think accent matters in 2019? She must be from Japan and she is wonderful.
There is no such a thing as weird accent. You just maybe not familiar with that type of accent. Her accent is very close to a person who has a language from the Latin language family in her repertoire. I would venture myself to say probably Spanish as primary or secondary language, and that can also explain your reference to her as from the Philippines, as Tagalog is heavily influenced by Spanish since the Spaniards made it a colony.
The most important thing in communication is to get the message, and she delivered it well. I like her accent.

To be honest, I don't think it's a good story. Cause there is not problem and no solution, let alone the climax. So anyway, it's not a good story. please follow the basic structure. It's not interesting to me, so it cannot be a good story, which means you failed your titile. Sorry about that.
