This school policing bill doesn’t solve any of the issues- more police presence will only lead to law enforcement policing the hallways of our schools- what kind of message does that really send?
There are also MANY different scenarios because school shootings are like concussions. You don’t know when or how they’re gonna happen until they happen. Like what if the shooter is trained? What if this was planned out and knew where the officers were?
@@donalddeluxe6407 Exactly!! My girlfriends uncle was killed in the mid 2000s trying to protect his house from a burglary. He had his gun ready when he heard the break in, went down stairs and shot at the burglar but failed to see that he was just a decoy for the one already in the house who then shot him. He was a former hunter and trained marksman but the element of surprise ALWAYS puts that situation up on shambles. Guns didn't save anyone that day. Another example is when I was in Texas a few months ago at a gas station standing in line behind a normal looking citizen/ man with his gun in his holster open carrying, a hypothetical scenario crossed my mind thinking of gun control, I'm from Kansas and i had a concealed glock on me. I am a HUGE supporter of gun regulation and i thought to myself, i could easily have shot up the man with the gun and taken out a few other people before i got taken out. So by that scenario the "good guy with a gun" theory wouldn't have worked. Why? Because you'd need to be clairvoyant to be able to react in time to a gunman.
Plus, how does that even stop shootings? Clearly the Uvalde shooter didn’t care about cops, who did such a fine job there…

The school was teaming with police. It didn't do much good.
Sen Cruz's bill had money in it to beef up security and doors on everyschool which is the only way to solve this problem 👍
400 police and not one can shotgun the locks or bolts out instead of waiting for someone to get in. It’s an emergency situation going down and drastic measures have to go down.

He did answer them. He tried to pass a bill and it got shut down by the opposing party. What is he supposed to do besides pass bills? I’m fine with real critiques. This video was not one of them at all. It was ridiculousness.
