I understand why they lived in solitude after everything but it would have been cool to see them all go to the zoo like the little kids once said. Like I said to get away from other people, they don't have good people skills, and most likely low immune systems so living life happily by themselves sounds great also.
It's gonna take a long time for Sara to heal from what she was put through. Trauma can do crazy things to the mind, and I don't think she is up to having more children, but resuming her relationship is a step in the right direction.

Understandable, but the documented evidence of the actual case make it clear that they weren’t in on it. Even if they were suspicious, they couldn’t have guessed she was there.
When I saw this movie I cried when Marie got in the hospital and also with this scene. The fact these kids looked so happy and free and so did Sarah after getting in the hospital got to me. Sadly though, the real story about Elisabeth Fritzl was even worse and Elisabeth’s kids dealt with lifelong trauma and health issues as well as physical issues. And honestly as emotionally draining this movie was, it was worth watching but I had to take an hour break halfway into the movie. When you grasp that it is based on a real story, it makes it harder to watch.
Happy ending, movie is great and sadly, Don was really maniac and monstum. I admire her what everything passed. Guys like Don would neded get death penalty.
Ironically, he will endure the same horrible acts he inflicted upon his daughter. In prison, he will be targeted by the inmates, probably made into some gruff gang leader's bitch.
That was my biggest complaint I had, since the film didn't have the budget to hire older actors to show the aging of the characters. That said, I was so impressed with Stefanie Scott's performance that I didn't mind. Sometimes you got suspend a bit of disbelief.
