If Alura audits your store for copyright words, then it is possible that the information is given to Etsy.

I really want this tool to work for me, but I signed up and it will not load my shop data. I have had no success in getting a response from them...contacted multiple times and nothing after 5 days. very disappointed. I would caution against going all in with the yearly subscription until you are sure this software works for you.

That is interesting, I’ve never had an issue with shop data loading. Is it giving you an error when you try to connect it, or it successfully connects and then nothing loads?
But yes, I would definitely sign up for the free account and test it before purchasing it, as with any other software!
