WOW!!! That was FLIPPIN WONDERFUL! A three minute tutorial to describe how to disassemble and to reassemble three different cartridges. Wow! I am so tired of those long tutorials for one thing. Thank you so much for this blessing! I’m actually saving it to my videos.😆😂🤣🙌🏻❤️❤️❤️
I thought the same thing. Let just get this done!!!
Excellent. I was so glad and emboldened that I went to Lowes to get the additional info not provided for my particular model and buy the assembly I needed from Lowes.
Thanks for providing a video that quickly gets to the point!
Thanks for the tutorial!!
Because of your video, i fixed the kitchen faucet. 😁 👍
Worked perfect on my 20 year old faucet. I ordered the rebuild kit on Amazon and it took an hour or so (another hour spraying the set screw with WD-40 several times and waiting).
Savings lives. Going to fix this bathroom faucet today!!!!!
Thanks, this was short & sweet, but so fast over the very first step: taking off the handle of the single handle faucet. What kind of tool? Phillips head? Hex head? Pry bar? TNT?
Sigh... ok, I'm working on a kitchen faucet. But mine is leaking at the handle, not the spout. It was kind of gunky in there, so thanks for letting me know it's a tiny hex screw. I'm stuck; the handle doesn't want to come off. What exactly is resisting?
How nice for the lady in the video to be taking apart new parts that haven't been in place for ten years.
Lol. As a lady I learned that the hard way. Had struggle with a calcified faucet.
I know! With her stupid manicured nails. My hands were black with degraded rubber after this repair.
Thank you! Easy to follow directions that guided us to stopping the leak!!
Those videos are very clear, and easy to understand. Thank you
Thanks for the tips! Worked like a charm, saved me a call (and looong wait) from the plumber!
So simple & helpful!
Great directions
I think it would be really easy to work with a brand new faucet, like this helpful video shows, but try doing it to a faucet that maybe hasn't had any repairs for 10 years or more? I'd be willing to bet it would be a lot dirtier, messier and that one thing that always goes wrong that takes a 15 minute project and turns it into an hour? Still, the video does help...
Thank you. The little rubber seals with springs are most often the culprit. The man at the hardware store say's if the faucet begins dripping again within 6 months, then it is the ball that needs to be replaced.
Thank you! I finally fixed that drippy kitchen faucet!
Great design. You don’t have to miter the wood base. It just going to get covered by the mitered top trex

Came for Gami, left with the leak in my faucet being fixed after all these years
Yay! I did it with the help of this video!!! Thank you!
Way to go, Valera! We're glad this video could help.💙

hi lex
Nice!
Looks so easy but I can't remove the CAP, even with adjuster plier.
Great video-thanks! My problem is only the hot water is dripping from my single handle. How would I fix this?
I’m having the same issue.
Joe do I take the faucet apart it seams like a step was skipped?
These faucets are gleaming brand new. You may have to remove some scale or mineral deposits if your tap is old. Try a small wire brush. Don't go too crazy because you don't want to damage any seating surfaces. My faucet is 35 years old & works well after a cleaning & new parts, but it won't last forever. Some areas are getting pitted.

Life saver!!!
Thank you for making this.
Mine has this gear-thing at the top (around the cam) and the ball-valve just won't pull out.
Anyone know what I'm talking about?
did you solve it, I took the plastic that has 2 color to indicate water temp.. and could not find the screw.. I placed the s.driver inside and did not find anything... so the thing can't be lefted to change the rubber etc.. I do not want to force the handle it may break.. if you did solve it share here please.. thanks
@@sutil5078 I just replaced the whole system. They're not expensive and it's all I could do. - Mine was one that doesn't come apart.
@@JohnDisque I am planning to change it though it is 8 y/o , but wanted to see if it a rubber or little thing to do I would fix it, sometimes calling and waiting, and paying and standing with the plmber is longer than changing the rubber.. so yours can't come apart, maybe mine is like that I could not find away.. thanks though for your quick answer.. cheers.
There is no set screw on the faucet handle. How do you remove the handle?
Probably to late but for others. Theres a tiny screw somewhere on the side, l wrench or some sort. Or theres a sealed cap ontop you can pop out witha flat heador knife
I popped the plastic that has 2 color to indicate water temp.. and like Nancy could not find the screw. there is a hole I put the screw driver in in hope of finding a screw I even turn the ball in all direction and stick teh screw drivere to see if it in any side of the ball but could not find it . I placed the s.driver inside and did not find anything... so the thing can't be lefted to change the rubber etc.. I do not want to force the handle it may break.. if you did solve it share here please.. thanks a guy above said he replaced his because he thinks some models cant be taken a part, but I believe if there is a hole it must be for some reason.. any ideal?
@@sutil5078 hex may fit in the hole for turning
@@bobabooey285 thanks I notice that , when I tried 3 sizes one fit and snug but did not take out the screw... so I gave up on it, still leak from the side but lightly.. and they told me it is harder to change this system than the traditional knob faucet ... so I did not attempt to take it out and hanging on.. till find another solution, it work fine but leak from the "ball" so I avoid turning it right or left. any advice? if not, thanks anyways. Have a nice day
That handle will not spin off that easily 😑
I think i can do this!! Thanks you 😄
Can't undo the set screw to even begin! No way to get the handle off.
Could this be any more general???
The secret is it’s in
This is a great video but sadly my neurological issues are blocking my ability to fix my faucet. Time to call a plumber. 😢
How to fix leaking faucet double handel
Hi there! To fix a double-handled faucet, you'll want to disassemble the faucet and remove the valve stem. Then, install a new O-ring and replace the valve seat. You can also check out the link below for more detailed instructions🔧: www.lowes.com/n/how-to/repair-a-leaky-fauce
I first need an English lesson to cover the 100 or so new words in here.

Dont replace all parts
WHERES THE LEAK BIH
What the heck is a gami?
how to fix a leaky faucet? give me a hammer
☼ Heirloom reviews ☼ I grab the blow torch
Except it didn't explain how to disassemble the faucet... just says to disassemble the faucet.
past the set screw the parts aren't "fastened" to each other; just pull out/apart by hand... what is to explain?
Maybe you stopped the video in the first minute - each assembly type starts at 1:08 ish

is it a faucet. Or a tap
Music unbearable.
No need for music when you are talking .
Instantly need help. The first step, they unscrew the handle with ease. I have a bizarre metal knob that's probably protecting the screw, and I'm not sure if I'm supposed to pop it out or what. DIY sucks ass every time.
So I pryed the extra metal piece out of the hole to find the screw, had an Allen wrench set, luckily, and was about to remove the handle. The cap was a struggle, but I forced it off with a rag and wrench. They simply pull out the ball like nothing, and i pulled up on it, but feel like there's more steps to unscrew and undo, based on it not moving at all. DIY sucks still.
And I finally finished the job, after $25 of parts and two trips to Home Depot. I replaced the cartridge, but that wasn't enough, so I replaced the o-ring set below the handle. This video was so far off from a real experience, it turned unhelpful.
@@frankjones6406 i got your luck Frank ..ugg ...i think i may just price a new one ...and prob f@@@ that up trying to swap it out !!!!😭
So much direction from a robot woman. So I just stopped.
Don’t be rude
Always wear gloves, dummies. You're dealing with stuff that stays dark and wet. Using bare hands is foolish. Even those purty lil model hands in the video. My hunch? You wanted female customers to try and DIY
God forbid
With an attitude like that, I bet that DIY is all you get to do. Why would any woman want to DY? 😄
Finally fixed my faucet thanks to this video, now I feel like a DIY wizard! 🔮💦
Way to go!! 💪
