I appreciate the fact that you immediately replayed the song like you didn't believe what you heard the 1st time.
To me this is one of the all time best songs. There's just something about it that reaches your soul.
It should not come as a surprise that they can make such a good video from home, remember they recorded Daft Punk in a closet and filmed it in their kitchen. They have come a long way since then.
I have loved "When The Party's Over" Since first hearing it from Billie but for some reason, PTX version made me appreciate the beauty of the song a lot more
Great reaction! I love how prominent Matt’s part was through the entire song. Not overshadowing, just beautifully represented and his solo part was just gorgeous! All of them are phenomenal and I love that they gift us with so much beautiful talent and wonderful music.
I cried when I 1st watched this too & it was dirty in the best way the way Mitch just left us wanting more at the end.
It was hauntingly beautiful, brings tears to my eyes each time. They expressed so much pain that one feels at times, to me.
I absolutely cried the first time I heard this. The video just brings it all home (no EP pun intended lol) It's honestly one of my PTX favourites of all time. 💗
I have to admit, after Avi left this group, I couldn't bring myself to listen to their new stuff. It took one of your reactions to get me to listen to one and I have to say the new guy has a great voice. Thank you.

Late to the party but can you imagine them harmonizing that astoundingly without being able to hear the other people?? They are literally angels. Billboard.com even called them ethereal. Thank you for another great reaction.!!
I believe with this group, God has given us a taste of what the Angels sound like when they sing.

Thanks for playing it back to back. I suppose it wouldn't be good to do that all the time! LOL. But if you're not ready to speak and want to hear it again, trust your heart and do it! It's a magnificent song (kudos to Billie and Finneas) and I like the way Billie sings it. She sounds very broken. The Pentatonix version sounds (to me) like it's a few days later--no longer ripped to pieces, but kind of numb, and achingly lonely. One of the best I've heard from PTX. And they weren't even together when they recorded it.
Mitch made me bawl like a baby in this one. He looks so sad.
Pentatonix really did the song justice. Mitch and Matt, wow....just wow 💖. Billie is incredible and so talented as well, I think you'll enjoy her music.
I love the fractured glass look of the video. It adds to the emotional impact.

They have so many songs that there is so much emotion it’s almost too much to listen to. Almost. And then I play those on repeat and just FEEL everything. This is definitely one of them.

So being all a year late... I think the fact that they LOOK at you when they're singing adds to the emotional connection. That's why I Can't Help Falling In Love makes me feel the feels just as deeply.

It's hard to believe that each singer's part was recorded separately and sent in to the studio. thie recording was done during the Covid lockdown.Wonderful reaction. I did the same thing the first time I heard this song. I had not hear Billie;s version Her's is good but somewhat depressing/

Patience paid off. I love your reactions and Ilooked forward to them. The song is very emotional and wonderfully performed. I am most touched by the very end when Scott, Kirstin and Mitch sing in turn. Especially Kirstin with her beautiful soft voice. Of course, Matt with his warm voice was gorgeous and Mitch in beautiful high registers.
Don't know why but when i think of this song i see someone ice dancing to this ( boy i have been in lockdown way to long )

@@JoSedunary Totally forgot about the promise ice skating I just saw to skaters on my head ice skating to this hearing it through speakers and hearing the skates cutting through the ice ... No i have no idea why my brain comes up with this stuff and it's the first one with Pentatonix I have thought of as an ice dance.

love to see your emotional reaction. I heard them saying they could picture singing it in concert similar to how they currently do run to You. I think this one is fabulous too. There not doing a video for Cologne but it's my favorite from the ep. Kevin kills the beat so I hope you give that one a listen.

Another fabulous vocal group you should react to is Anthem Lights, if you don’t know them already. They aren’t truly acapella, because they use accompaniment in place of a beatboxer, though they do occasionally do four-part acapella arrangements. They have been around for quite awhile (since 2011) and they have some of the most angelic voices I’ve ever heard. Each of them has also put out solo music. If you want a place to start, I would recommend the ‘Class of 2018’ medley or ‘The Greatest Showman Medley’ as both of those showcase each of their voices and ranges.
