Fun Fact: Marco Andretti's pole position speed in 2020 was 231.068 This year Katherine Legge qualified 30th with a 231.070 shows how much the whole field has improved in less than 3 years, giving that the cars are still essentially the same. (2020 was the first year of the aeroscreen, and there have not been any big technical changes since)
Callum is hilarious. Made me an even bigger fan with his interview. He said so much between "Ice Lolly" bites. You could do the "Fish and Chips" show with him. Can we get Katherine Legge in the series full time again?
RLL's problems are not new-aero-engineer only. Might be added to from it, but it's not alone. That team has been bleeding speed and ability for eight years now. In 2015 they were considered a title threat. Between 2016 and 2020 they were guaranteed at least one win a year with a few other great drives. It's not like Andretti where the HALOscreen hit and they fell off, Graham was legit strong in the first third of that season and Taku won the 500. There's something else going on in that team that's tearing the effort apart. IDK if it's an internal power struggle that's driving out good drivers and engineering talent, IDK if it's because they overexpanded way to fast with building a new facility AND expanding to three full times cars AND adding the Hypercar program as well. It might be something else as well that we can't think of or see.
What is surprising is that Legge's speed for 30th would have put her 18th last year and Malukas' time for 23rd would have made the fast 12 last year. Then Rosenqvist was only 0.3mph ahead of Veekay so its not like the cars have been made faster its just everyone is so close which is so exciting to see.
Marco Andretti let it slip the team has no clue what they are doing anymore at Indy.he said their cars are slow. He might not be with the team next year. I do not expect anything this year. To hard to pass ,they need to start in the top 5
Team Rahal had trouble getting in last year too. David Land said the three cars out were not just set up for the speedway only like Katherine Legg's was. Maybe that is the problem. We need more engines so back up cars are not so hard. It's a total build up for the T Car..
Callum is a mega driver for juncos .I can't understand how Ricardo did to convinced him to join such a small team. i hope Juncos has some real success this year
