- Today's lesson is on a subject that many quilters dread: binding. This final step in your quilting process is the last thing standing between you and a finished project, so you should learn to love it (or at the very least, learn to tolerate it)! We'll be examining some of the basics of binding, like how to figure out how much you'll need, cutting straight of grain or bias, pressing . . . everything you need to know to set yourself up for success when you're binding your next quilt project!

I just finished a quilt i started in the mid 90's. I went with a scrappy binding of the leftovers because nothing worked out. Colors change so this tip is good to know.
