I'm 75 and was a young girl when he hit the scene. He was every teen girls idol. Greatest performer ever. His Hawaiian concert was watched by a billion people. More than watched the moon landing. To really know Elvis watch Elvis and the Black community , the echo never dies. I enjoy seeing the younger generation discover this great and good man.Thank you. If I Can Dream is one of his best.He dedicated it to Martin Luther King.

Elvis was handsome back then and he still is today and it's not just his looks it's his demeanor the way he carries himself back then and of course his music and how Elvis was so generous to someone he didn't even know but he sung just as much gospel and country as he did rock. No one could ever take his place.

Elvis was gorgeous, pictures, movies, television and videos didn't do him justice. Elvis had everything, amazing good looks, a voice that was perfect (Elvis was pitch-perfect, no auto-tune back then), he took you on a journey with every song he sang, Elvis and the music were one, we loved Elvis and he loved us back. Being at an Elvis concert is an experience I will never forget and it has never been duplicated. He was and is more than just a thing, he was everything, there was no one like him and to this day no one comes close. There is ELVIS and then there is everyone else.

Elvis was 42 when he passed. Born in Tupelo, moved to Memphis very young and that was his home. Best looking man I have ever seen, beautiful inside and out, and more charisma that is indescribable. Yes I finally got to see him in concert a couple of years before he passed. Check out Jailhouse Rock and some of his earlier recordings and videos

Elvis was in his youth in his 30s and even at 42 yrs old at the end of his life overweight and bloated still even then the most beautiful man who has ever graced this world. He died of an irregular heartbeat which caused cardiac arrest. His health was poor and the prescription pain meds which he became addicted to did not help his health situation. Died at 42 the saddest day of my life. He became my first love at age five and I am 65 years old now. Play his last concert unchained melody. Few weeks later he was dead and still I’ll he gave the performance of a lifetime. Thank for for learning about him. Also play Elvis and the black community Elvis was not nor ever racist, quite the contrary. God bless you ❤

@@panteraxenos4789 Not completely b.s as Presley discussed with Steve Binder from the Comeback Special 68 about assassinations and conveyed he was apparently badly impacted by the recent MLK assassination in his home town Memphis followed by Bobby Kennedy. This song was the result of those meetings and was commissioned to close the show.

He’s from Tupelo, MI... one of the poorest neighborhoods there. When he was little Sadly segregation was still strong, he would cross the railroad tracks as a young child and attend and sing with the African American church, all the way until he was a teen. His first home he lived in his father built from $150 dollars. It didn’t even have floors at the time. Often known as a shotgun shack. Great reaction man, thank you!

The most handsome man to walk this earth here, at his best vocaly and looks.
Now with your first reaction you know why he's called the king and the G.O.A.T greatest of all time
This is 1970, 50 years ago, unbelievably
He died at 42 on his own, a drugs overdose stopped his heart.
Always controversy whether he meant to or not. His life at the end was non existent.
Born in Tupelo Missippi, then his family moved to Memphis in his teens, the rest you can find on here or Google.
One of twins his brother Jesse Garon was born first still born, no more siblings.
Youll find his life very interesting......

    Yes, he was all that!
So handsome that men and women were struck dumb when he entered a room and he was hot beyond description.
He developed amazing voice range, control, expression, had perfect pitch, and was self trained by listening to other artists of every genre. His voice was angelic, then devilishly sexy. He couldn’t read music, played by ear. The famous New Zealand soprano Dame Kiri Te Kanawa when asked about the greatest voice she'd ever heard, didn’t name world renowned operatic greats Luciano Pavarotti or Maria Callas, but she said: 'The young Elvis Presley, without any doubt'.
Born in Tupelo, moved to Memphis when 9 years old. Raised dirt poor but with manners and compassion for others. Sang Gospel in white and black churches, combined it with Country and R&B and turned it into Rock & Roll. Sang with passion and moved to his music. Drove females out of their minds. Was over the top charismatic, men loved him too. His brand of music opened the doors for black artists to become mainstream.
He is considered the greatest cultural icon of the 20th Century.
Sadly, he died of a heart attack at 42, and many of us still mourn the loss of his boyish, bookish, spiritual seeking, playful soul. He cast a spell on the world, and those of us who love him are still under that spell.

Elvis interacted with black southerners from the time he was little
When the bank took the shotgun house back he was born in
They moved to a neighborhood and was one of two white families that lived in an all black neighborhood. He came down with rumantic fever and the blk neighbor lady gave him mouth to mouth resuscitation and saved his life , she was his babysitter, said he was the happiest child. Elvis always lends some of his soul to his preformances

Hey bud great reaction, there's a great 12 part mini series of how Elvis got his start you can binge watch on UA-cam called Good Rockin Tonight. It was produced by Priscilla Presley and the guy who portrays Elvis looks just like him. It's the best documentary mini series about his beginning. His bio is what almost every musicians strive for. I promise you will love it, also would you check out suspicious minds or Polk salad Annie from his 1970 performance in Vegas live

Oh you would love Elvis for sure he was very generous towards all people all his life, Great for the black community, Great for charity ( The best ) .he spent two years in the army. Was a black belt in karate. Played football so much more. He did practically everything in music. You don't get called the king for no reason, although he didn't like that, He said only Jesus is the king .of course he's right.

Elvis was born in Tupelo Mississippi Jan. 8 1935 . His twin brother died at birth . Family was dirt poor . They later moved to Memphis Tennessee . He died Aug. 16 1977 , aged 42 yrs . He died of heart arithmetic failure , most likely brought on by prescription drug abuse . No street drugs . He had other health issues as well , colon issues , glaucoma , etc. No denying his talent , his voice , his presence - there’ll never be another Elvis !

This song makes me think of my husband, after he passed I heard this song and made me think he was speaking to me from heaven and we would pretend until I got to be with my love again.

Yes. He was THAT good looking to us ladies. Even men agree.
But it’s not about his looks, or even his awesome voice, he’s just a neat person. Very unique.

Love that song! He was born in Tupelo Mississippi in 1942 and moved to Memphis Tennessee when he was about 14. From there they moved around a little in Memphis finally settling in a housing project where he lived through high school. He suffered from prescription drug abuse and died of a heart attack in the bathroom of his Memphis mansion called Graceland in the summer of 1977 at the age of 42.

Unfortunately Elvis was only 42 when he passed. He had a lot of health issues but at that point his addiction to prescription drugs was his biggest. His personal Dr actually was investigated for prescribing so many to Elvis and he eventually lost his license to practice. Elvis was born in Mississippi but lived most of his life in Memphis. He grew up in poverty and in what was considered the "ghetto" .. He also grew up loving gospel music and in HS he sang in a gospel church choir.. Some of his most passionate and beautiful songs are his gospel songs.. How Great Thou Art, or You Gave Me a Mountain.. are two of my favorites.. He also had a wonderful sense of humor and loved his band and backup singers. A funny live performance of Suspicious Minds is a great one to listen to as well. Enjoy learning about Elvis, he was a caring, loving, humble person at heart.. not perfect but damn near it, lol.

Went to his concert sat in the sixth row isle seat in 1973 this man was the best looking man ever he was amazing his voice was incredible in case you don't know he grew up in the ghetto very very poor in tupelo Mississippi then memphis he had a hard life and he had to fight for everything he got he was very very generous he fought for equal rights he had to constantly remember where he came from he ended up dying from a drug overdose and a heart attack I believe because medication was pushed on him to keep him going all they cared about was making money and they pushed him too far
