NOTE- THE LINKED ACTUATOR DOES NOT COME WITH THE BRACKET AND BLACK SPIN TRACK, YOU WILL NEED TO SWITCH THOSE OVER FROM THE OLD ACTUATOR. THIS REPAIR IS NOT FOR THE FAINT HEARTED AND IS A LITTLE BIT OF A PAIN. THE AMAZON COMMENTS SAY ITS THE WRONG ACTUATOR, BUT ALOT OF THEM WERE TRYING TO ORDER THE TEMP ACTUATOR NOT THE MODE DOOR ACTUATOR. YOU CAN ALWAYS ORDER THE ACTUAL TOYOTA PART. ( goes about 200 bucks). Not available on Amazon.

Just did this job on an '07 Limited. Your video definitely helped. A few pointers to provide further help.
Each of the 3 tracks has an inspection window (a small 1/2" long slot) at it's endpoint. If assembled in this position, then the silver pins on each control arm are visible in the inspection window, so you can verify they are properly inserted. This is an intentional feature and is critical to ensuring all 3 are aligned properly. Even the metal bracket has holes cut in it so that in this position, you can see through the inspection windows.
Connect all the electrical connectors, power on the car and set the A/C to DEFROST mode. This rotates the servo and large black wheel all the way full Counter Clock Wise (CCW) when looking at if from the greasy groove side. You will see that all 3 tracks have their inspection windows visible from the motor side. This position also corresponds to having all 3 arms in their full outward position. This is the position it's meant to be assembled in. Set all 3 arms to their outward position. I think the floor and defrost arms will stay in that outward position, but the dash vent arm will not. No problem. Put that pin in it's slot first, then rotate the assembly to final align the mounting bracket. Carefully align the second and third pins in their slots as you position the assembly to it's flush mounting position. Using an inspection mirror, LOOK in each inspection window and verify you see the silver pin. If you don't, that arm is misaligned. Curse, then try again until all 3 pins are visible, then insert the 3 holding screws. Check the A/C by turning the fan up to high and cycling through all the vent modes and checking airflow.
Pro Tip: I applied 3 small strips (approx 1/8" wide x 3/4" long) of colored electrical tape to the slotted wheel next to each inspection window to make inspection easier. It helped a lot! I happened to have 3 different colors, which was even better. I could see silver pins on Yellow, Blue and White, and was there. Even with the mirror, it's hard to find and inspect each armature pin is correctly positioned, so the 3 colors helped make sure I verified all of them.
This is Pretty tricky and NOT for those who are impatient. Have a friend help hold lights and pass tools.

Our 2010 XLE same problem. Great job publishing good guidance, much appreciated. Just a few more tips straight of this challenging repair. The black adapter plate clip is super fragile. Mine broke off without much provocation. Had to buy the assembly from Toyota. The inspection windows are the longer ones. (There are three others about 1/4" but it's not them). The rig position at defrost is actuated by the defrost button, just to be clear, not the mode button. Away from the mount and plugged in, the adapter plate rotated back a ways after ignition selected off (in about 30 sec) after defrost was selected to CCW rig position. Had to re-select defrost and disconnect the mode actuator, freezing it in full CCW (grease side). I finally found pins in the inspection holes once reinstalled. Success finally, thanks again!

I failed to mention the removal of the drivers seat was well worth the extra effort.

Thank you !!! your comment and this video helped me to calibrate it for 2004 sienna. I would like to add a tip. For me the third one that is in middle one keeps dropping. I tried to align it with hole but it was not working for me. I was having hard time. I did a live install. I connected my actuator and blasted the fan in high speed.
I manually adjusted the gate. The air pressure kept them in de frost position and I did the install.
