Yes, the black & white marble was my fav that day. Even with my brightest light, the black is still opaque. An unusual find, for me, anyway. 😁💖

Thanks Randy, Glad you enjoyed the video! It was a short but productive marble hunt! Yes, all of the animals are well fed and cared for around here. They know us and feel safe here. We are still feeding the flying squirrels every night too! We also have hummingbirds, but getting video of them is difficult. -Cathy 💖

Those turkeys keep us entertained. 🦃🦃 They do like the birdbath... We had a concrete birdbath for a bout two days. A large turkey tried to perch on the side of it and toppled and broke it! 😬😎🦃

Hi Amanda, glad you enjoyed the video! It was a short lark, as I only had 1-2 hours that afternoon... Still, I did well! The groom was a total surprise! I do hope I find the bride... (Not holding my breath though. 😄) The animals keep things interesting at home.. we also have hummingbirds, but I don't have recent pix of them yet. The new chucks are getting to know us now. So funny, the turkey with the pine cone dangle! 🦃 The others were running him off Lol. We are on our way to another bottle event, as I write this. Hope I don't spend too much. 😁

It WAS a fun hunt... I was only there an hour or two (if that). We love our chucks! Most people don't, cuz they eat lots of plants, but we keep ours well fed! 🦔🦔🦔
Cathy, loved the marble colors you found and the porcelain groom statue. The critters were fun to watch. I love turkeys and find beautiful feathers from them when we are out metal detecting. I like how you repurposed the flamingo and put in your garden.Say Hi to Dew. 👍👏😀
The groom bisque was my fav find that day... A real surprise! We have LOTS of turkeys.. especially in winter (up to 40 or more some years!) We save the nicer feathers too.. they look great in inkwells!
Hello Cathy, This is a nice video and Lew and I enjoyed watching it. You had some nice fihds and you found your marbles to. 🙂 We like the Dwyer bottle very much. Glad to see you found a little doll and hopefully you can get the girl that goes with it. We haven't gone out to dig or anything because it's so hot or raining. Lew's work was very bust because he had to do inventory for Burlington Coat Factory. (He wokrs there still 🙂 ) We hope Drew gets to be with you next time and can relax to. We don't feel the heat when we're in the river. Good that Lew is still at BCF, hope he likes his work there. Be careful in the heat this week and next, (even if you are not digging)... Hi Kathy! Loved your finds today and the glimpse into your backyard wildlife. I think we're kindred spirits. I would've re-purposed the flamingo in the same way! My theory about the bisque groom is that he was a wedding cake topper that ended up being dumped after a divorce.
Yes, that seems logical... The groom may very well have been tossed away with the other wedding items... But he is ca. 1930s or so (older than the other items). Or perhaps a different (earlier) wedding.
That bisque groom was a great find, Kathy!!! A nonchalant groom, with hands in pockets!!! Lol!!! Nice marbles, too, but I especially love how you repurposed the flamingo!!! The chucks live under the house? Do they do any damage?
Thanks Anthony, I agree, that bisque groom was a shocker that day! I need to go back and find the bride. And the flamingo 🦩 was an easy fix! I already had the bamboo stakes. Yes, the chucks live under the "bottle room" (😄 ALL our rooms have bottles) but this room does not have basement under it. We've had several generations of chucks grow up there. We feed them well, they come when we call them .. just like little dogs! They are not allowed IN the house though. But they will come to the door for a carrot. What we are not happy about are the weasels that moved into the garage! (But that's another story). 😁😎

😄 haha Well, I guess it could be worse. You chose someone "fun", and I am short. 😁 I do sometimes go out on my own anyway, but I really had been wearing Drew out; ( then it all caught up with me too, eventually ).

😄 Leif Garrett? Wow! Long hair and all? 80's was "big hair" decade. I was told I looked like Jacklyn Smith back then (only shorter Lol) I ruled the world in those days! Or so it seemed. 😂
My favorite find was the flamingo. What composition is it and I was trying to figure out if something was hanging on its neck? Also the “dingle berry” hanging off the turkey was funny. 👍
The flamingo is just plastic, but has "patina" from the river, giving it an aged look. Nothing around its neck.. prob just a shadow. Pine cone dingle berry had me laughing.. and the other turkeys, too, I think! 😄💖

@@massriverpickers well I was finding quite a decent amount of Native American artifacts so that's what I mail seek but have just been getting into finding bottles and colonial pipes in the rivers and creeks around here! Lots of history so I am always hoping for something really old! Love your channel!!!!

Well, I guess you could say... Both! They are "wild" animals, but we do provide food. They know us, and feel comfortable in our yard. But they are not fenced in, and are free to roam. 😁😎🐇🦔🐿️🦃🦌
