Leonard had an amazing smile! His face just lights up! You rarely saw it on Star Trek since he was supposed to be devoid of emotion. Great loss with both of these great actors.
This was such a fun show. Flip was charming and funny and had great guests who seemed to always be having a good time. Thanks, Flip, for making us laugh.
Yeah, necklaces with big medallions were a thing back then. The Bee Gees, Carl Weathers, & Isaac Hayes to name a few. Mr T took it to the extreme, of course 🥇 I've even seen an episode of Streets of San Francisco recently, where Burgess Meredith plays the sage from some metaphysical cult group. Wearing a medallion and chain, and dressed in a robe
I didn't see this episode when I was a kid. I enjoyed seeing it now. I was waiting for the neck pinch from Spock, then Leonard Nimoy and flip wilson delivered. I miss both of them.
I remember watching Flip Wilson growing up as a kid.❤ we only had 4 channel stations to watch. I miss those days. We didn't sit around all day watching tv.
@@cecilb3216 We had as many as 3 sometimes. My dad would have to climb up on the roof every few months with a pipe wrench to point the antenna to the translator while mom told him when the picture was best.
What a great act together! Both men were hilarious and so natural in their roles. I watched Flip Wilson when I was younger and I laughed often at his antics even though I didn't understand everything I saw. This is another reason why I love UA-cam--the nostalgia you can tap into that can't typically be found anywhere else on the internet. Great clip.
More bass than I remember from _Trek._ I think he pitched Spock's voice higher than his normal range. He was also an accomplished musical theater performer. He did many versions of _Fiddler on the Roof._
This was great! It is ironic too that I have been reading a book written by William Shatner about the life of Leonard Nimoy. My family and I used to watch "Flip Wilson" every week back in the day and he was always really funny!😀
I met Leonard Nimoy and he photographed my father, my sister and me for his book Secret Selves I think it's called shortly before he passed. I went to say hello to him and I was completely starstruck, I was a background actor and I've met plenty of "stars" but for some reason, because I was so used to him in my mind from childhood, and his character was so compelling. My mind was like: "You are talking to Mr. Spock, you are talking to Mr. Spock".....I blabbered something about being a fan...but I literally could not process meeting him in real life. It was strange. I'm also really impressed by Flip Wilson, this was before my time, but it was such an innocent time, I would have loved to have lived in it as an adult.
Two excellent performers. That was a very clever comedy bit - loved it. It was awesome when they flipped character near the end and Flip became very analytical. I bet they wrote it together.
This flashback really caught me off guard…. holy moly Flip Wilson!!! My dad watched very little TV and Flip was one of the rarities he joined the rest of the family to watch without fail. I was 9 when the show ended. Another world…
I LOVED flip Wilson!! He was my favorite as a kid. Never missed a show! The whole family would sit around the tv 📺 to watch Flip Wilson! Those days were soo great 😌
When I was a kid, my brother found a plushie Flip Wilson/Geraldine doll. It had a pull-string which played 3-4 second clips of Flip Wilson (or Geraldine) saying one of his presumably-famous lines.
i believe, little does Mr. Leonard Nimoy knows 'that he has 'influenced' thousands of people, around the world, through his character, Spock... ('love this person, ...from the Philippines)
It's been way over 50 years since I watched The flip Wilson show and this was hilarious I wonder how Mr.Nimoy would react to Flip dressed as Geraldine?!🤣🖖🏻
We watched Flip’s show all the time! Geraldine was such a funny character. “In the back, in a booth, in the corner, in the dark!” 😅 And I’m a Trekkie to this day. 🖖
He will always be Spock! He could not get away from that character no matter what he did! And he did play other characters very well! He was on Mission Impossible! He was on TJ Hooker! He played in many different western movies and TV shows! But his character of Spock kept him type cast!
I love Spock, love Leonard Nimoy. I have seen him in other roles and he was great. Honestly, I think part of the type casting is his voice. It fits such a logical characlter so well. IDK.
I used to love watching Flip Wilson. Adored Star Trek The Original Series. Watched it from its first airing in Australia and have never grown tired of rewatching it.
I could not wait to watch the show when it came on. Life seemed so much simpler. You could actually enjoy hanging out with the family for a show or two.
What a wonderful variation on the old vaudeville routines and with Flip Wilson and Leonard Nimoy! Flip and Leonard milked it all the way to the final spot. Hilarious and very well done. Loved both of these guys as a kid.
Loved This The Two Of Them Together Was Very Funny..I Never Realized Leonard Nimoy Was So Good At Comedy Skits..And Flip Wilson Was Histerical As Always....😅😅❤❤
Two legends who will never be duplicated.

🖖🏽😑😂
I loved this show as a kid. Flip Wilson was so talented.
Variety shows were great and his was one of my favorites!
Me too. Geraldine was my favorite character. Cheers.
Same here! The Flip Wilson show was great.
I can still do the Flip Wilson handshake.
Same here.... Flip
I watched flip Wilson In the 70s when I was a kid… And Star Trek too. This is just gold. Loved both of these guys.
The Vulcan Nerve grip is vintage !
Yep. Me too. Quality entertainment back in the day. Geraldine always cracked me up.
Leonard Nimoy had such a subtle way of being HILARIOUS!!! 👏👏👏👏 A truly great talent!!! 👏👏👏👏 Rest in peace, dear sir!! ❤
Yes! He was hilarious in such a subtle way! 👏🏻😂
💚
I am 65 and I used to watch the Flip Wilson Show every time it was on. He and the other comedians of that era were great.
Ah the 70s, when Nimoy could rock a sweater and groovy necklace
We are born too late, man .. life is missing simple joys like acid trips and Woodstocks 😊
We grew up at the right time.
@@WalterSobchack-s8nI am a 70’s baby
Wish we knew what that necklace was...

This is a hidden gem of a sketch between Flip and Leonard Nimoy! The Flip Wilson Show was one of my all time favorite shows when I was growing up!
Thank you Alex for sharing this bit. RIP Mr. Flip Wilson and Leonard Nimoy.
I remember watching Flip Wilson growing up as a kid.❤ we only had 4 channel stations to watch. I miss those days. We didn't sit around all day watching tv.
4 you guys were wealthy /in the rural area we had 1 maybe 2 late at night😂

I had never seen this scene with Leonard Nimoy and Flip Wilson... and such a great scene. It is really great acting too.
That was fun. I remember sitting on the living room floor watching Flip Wilson with my mom on the couch.

Absolutely hilarious. And intellectual.
His voice is incredible.
More bass than I remember from _Trek._ I think he pitched Spock's voice higher than his normal range. He was also an accomplished musical theater performer. He did many versions of _Fiddler on the Roof._
Flip made everyone laugh👍 He was a talented Entertainer
Lenard’s deep voice was so great to listen to (plus he was an excellent actor) and FlIp was great this TV show that he starred in.
I miss watching this show. Flip Wilson is one of my favorite comics.
He was indeed one of the best
This was great! It is ironic too that I have been reading a book written by William Shatner about the life of Leonard Nimoy. My family and I used to watch "Flip Wilson" every week back in the day and he was always really funny!😀
That's what you call creative writing 😁👍🏻

I loved Flip Wilson when I was a kid (3/4) - This is the first time I have seen a clip of the show since then and I see why I liked him so much.
I was born when this show was on. I remember Flip. I don't remember the show. I don't think my parents watched it.
I love Leonard's voice, him and I am a Trekkie.
This skit was marvelous!! Two legends!!!
This flashback really caught me off guard…. holy moly Flip Wilson!!! My dad watched very little TV and Flip was one of the rarities he joined the rest of the family to watch without fail. I was 9 when the show ended. Another world…
That was WONDERFUL to see😂 I ALWAYS watched Flip and Star Trek when I was a kid 😅😅😅😅

This is classic vaudeville style comedy. Leonard Nimoy and Flip Wilson, are incredible in this and WOW!
This is masterpiece!! 🤩 Thank you so much for posting it!
Leonard can give me that necklace he's rocking. One of kind.
He dead
HILARIOUS!! Thanx 4 upload!!!😂😂😂😂
You’re very welcome :-)
No matter how you diced it, there will never be the beautiful chemistry of the original casts of the original Star Trek series.
@6:36 - That's a very convincing fall by Flip, onto a hard stage without any cushion or cheat. A lot of stunt performers couldn't pull that off.
Yeah, Wilson was best known for his delivery of great one-liners and comebacks, but he was also a dynamite physical comic.
I always wanted to be Flip Wilson when I was a kid. Funny, suave and so cool.
Oh how it would if we had celebrities of this caliber today.
i believe, little does Mr. Leonard Nimoy knows 'that he has 'influenced' thousands of people, around the world, through his character, Spock... ('love this person, ...from the Philippines)
Now *THIS* Is a Duo I Never Thought I'd See Together (!) 😳😊😅😂😄😄😂😂😂😎😊👏👏👏
Thank You For This. 🙏🧸
I loved his show, never missed it. Always fun!
It was a glorious time for real TV comedy and Variety Shows. They had Celebrity roasts that are legendary.
Loved Flip Wilson. He was gone too soon and the younger generation doesn’t know about him. 😢
I adored these guys... I wasn't allowed to watch them most of the time but every now and again I would get too.. :)
My 2 showbiz heroes from childhood together, what luck
I loved the Flip Wilson Show as a kid! Loved Star Trek too! Thanks for sharing this clip.
Hilarious! I hadn't seen this before. Thanks for posting it.
Fond fond memories! :) Seems like yesterday,,, when I was young,,,,
It's been way over 50 years since I watched The flip Wilson show and this was hilarious I wonder how Mr.Nimoy would react to Flip dressed as Geraldine?!🤣🖖🏻
Fascinating
Yup, then they had it taken off and replaced it with Cannon, a detective show
Amazing! Could you imagine them rehearsing this. 😂
We watched Flip’s show all the time! Geraldine was such a funny character. “In the back, in a booth, in the corner, in the dark!” 😅 And I’m a Trekkie to this day. 🖖

His performance in Columbo called "A Stitch In Crime" is a masterpiece
I love Spock, love Leonard Nimoy. I have seen him in other roles and he was great. Honestly, I think part of the type casting is his voice. It fits such a logical characlter so well. IDK.
Check him out in Fringe. 👍👍
Folks, remember he was a part of the Mission Impossible too.
Flip was awesome. My favourite skits were with Geraldine and the booth in the back in the corner in the dark.
Thank You For Posting This
Love Flip and Nimoy / Spock
Thank You
I loved the Flip Wilson Show. Used to watch it with my mom and dad!
I used to love watching Flip Wilson. Adored Star Trek The Original Series. Watched it from its first airing in Australia and have never grown tired of rewatching it.
after the "naked" bit, around 4:00 or so, you can see leonard straining to keep from laughing.
Two absolutely great actors who I miss so very much!
This made my day!! Thank you!!!!👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
I could not wait to watch the show when it came on. Life seemed so much simpler. You could actually enjoy hanging out with the family for a show or two.
Two great guys right there my how the times have changed.😢
Wow! I'm surprised I never saw this before. This was funny as heck!
No cursing,, no n-words… imagine that..😮. RIP Gentlemen..❤❤
Both these actors had dignity!
My God, that was some wholesome good fun!
What a wonderful variation on the old vaudeville routines and with Flip Wilson and Leonard Nimoy! Flip and Leonard milked it all the way to the final spot. Hilarious and very well done. Loved both of these guys as a kid.
Loved Flip Wilson! Also Carol Burnett and Nimoy was on both!
I loved this so much! 😂
This is wonderful. May they both rest in peace. They earned their place in heaven.
Really funny stuff!! From both of them! Remember Flip, he's HALF HUMAN!!
Of course I remember flip, but I never knew he was only half human: Gracie Allen.
Long before "The Rock" had "The People's Eyebrow", L. N. was rocking it.
Hilarious! 🤣 Great memories. I miss them both.
Mr. Flip Wilson and Mr. Spock 2 Great peoples may they both rest easy 🙏🏾✨.
That was hilarious. The days when we could laugh at ourselves and have fun 😂🤣😂 so sad that both of them are gone now 😢❤
Loved this show, this bit was funny! Loved his Geraldine character!!
Flip..such a talented guy, used to watch him every week.
I’m still searching for these *early* TVLand reruns.
Check out , flip Wilson animated special , it is available on utube
Flip kept me in stitches when I was a kid.
One of my most favorite shows as a kid..
OMG I love both of those guys and miss them both
It doesn't get any better. My youth
What a classic moment.
I'm LMAO here. Just towards the end, I'm yelling, give him the neck pinch,! give him the neck pinch!
And he does!
What a great! skit!
That was great. Love old Leonard.
Nimoy was so cool out of character!
Actually I loved how he was both in character and out of character simultaneously
Wow it was all so simple then but who decided to make it hard.
I miss the talented Flip Wilson and Lenord Nimoy
Welp, match two people that are masters of there craft and you get this!👍👍
It’s so eerie to see Leonard on the flip Wilson show when he was actually shooting star trek TOS🖖🏻🖖🏻
They weren't filming Star Trek anymore at this point. Star Trek ran from 1966-1969 and the Flip Wilson Show debuted in 1970 and ran through 1974.
I never saw this episode growing up. It's hilarious!!
Loved This The Two Of Them Together Was Very Funny..I Never Realized Leonard Nimoy Was So Good At Comedy Skits..And Flip Wilson Was Histerical As Always....😅😅❤❤
I knew the Vulcan neck pinch was coming lol.
Oh, I'm definitely keeping this on file ❗ Never seen this b4 ❗ This is unique 👀👍❗
Love it. Both childhood heroes. Where are all our heroes?
That was a great appearance.
Love the Vulcan Pinch at the end.
