The body scanners used by bones are salt and pepper shakers bought at a yard sale.
Uhura invented the wireless headpiece. She had nothing to do but turn and make a statement, so she decided "maybe I've got a speaker in my ear". Grabbed a prop, popped it in her ear and VOILA.

Spock was my first childhood hero. It was a time when boys must have a crew cut. I would get on the school bus and kids would tease me about my ears being pointy like Spock's were, and it was crushing me to tears at 5 yrs old. Until one day I watched Spock knock this dude out just by grabbing his shoulder and I thought how cool that was. Spock was a bad ass, so I paid attention to him in a way I never had before. One day after that I got on the bus to the usual jeers and jokes about pointy ears and Spock. And I looked one of my tormentors that called me Spock and I said "Logical" in my best Spock prose. The teasing stopped instantly. I didn't know what the word meant, I just knew Spock was a bad ass and he would say it. Clearly they didn't know the meaning either, but it was enough. I was never again, teased about my ears.

They didn't speak the last 5 years of his life. Shatner tried to make amends, but Nimoy must have been really angry not to accept it. Of course, Shatner responded with not attending the funeral. Even after his family asked him too. Shatner was an ass to everyone he worked with. Some of his petty stunts are legendary. It is actually a shame how that ended.

And a great singer, songwriter, poet, guitarist, & cartoon voice actor, as well. ^_^ My #1 all-time favoritest animated role of his is Dr. Jekyll & Mr. Hyde in "The Pagemaster" (which is a WONDERFUL underappreciated animated/live-action movie that has been a part of many a 90s childhood, mine included). ❤
Oh, & he also loves cats, speaks fluent Yiddish, & is Jewish. 😊
(Yes, I know Leonard entered immortality several years ago, but assuming there's an afterlife, doing so should not any effect on the status of your talents/abilities, your love of cats, the languages you speak, etc. Hence, I still refer to him -- & anyone else no longer on this mortal sphere -- in the present tense. I hope this will be understandable to you. 😊 )

I first watched Star Trek in my native country in the late 60's. Then I moved to the US and watched it in its original language. It's one of my all time favorite TV shows. Never get tired of it. LOVE SPOCK!!! Logically. (Fascinating!)
