New fan here. It’s just I keep trying to find the deeper meaning, but I can’t shake the fact that this is just a really intense song about a game of Bingo lol
I like to think of this song as him being delusional and he sucks at bingo and that's why everybody's scared of him. "SOMEONE SHOULD CALL THE COPS, I'm killin' it." and he's just drawing pictures with the marker lol
What this man can do with just just a guitar and a banjo. It's incredible. I've had the pleasure of seeing him live once, and it took my breath away. I don't think it is can be overstated just how much I enjoy every second of every song he has sung, or just how unbelievably cathartic it feels when he absolutely obliterates his strings and quite possibly, his fingernails too. Everything about his performance, from the beautiful licks, to the raw emotion ever so present in Danny's voice, right to his crazy energy and despaired thousand yard stare. He is possibly the best solo artist i have yet encountered. Bravo
I love how listening to Amigo The Devil can be a diverse experience. I go from crying my eyes out to singing out loud having a genuinely fun time in the space of mere minutes
@@Onyxdeth I bet he was excited to be able to perform live after COVID had shut everything down for so long... and having a new album to perform at that! I can't wait to see him again. Saw him at a Dropkick Murphy's show on St. Patrick's Day in Boston a few years ago, he wasn't even on the setlist from what I'd seen, it was a surprise performance and I lost my everloving shit when I saw his merch and I realized he was gonna perform. I bought one of his hoodies and still wear it daily, although the edges of the sleeves are falling apart and the hem is totally unwinding, I can't part with it (at least until I get a new one). Got to meet him too and told him how fucking awesome he is, he was so chill. Then I saw him at the restaurant we went to after the show and I wanted to go up to him again but didn't wanna bug him while he was trying to unwind and eat so I left it alone but it was one of the most amazing nights of my life for sure.
Danny thank you for bringing us the music in such a creative way when we couldn't be together for shows. The Fellowship is hoping this becomes a DVD! 🖤 See ya in Cali!
The first time I heard this song I was waiting, wishing, yearning for this cave version and now I have it (even if I'm several months late to the party). It's everything I wanted. Love how he's having so much fun with it!
@@derekoliver7083 I’ve been hunting everywhere to find out where this was filmed. I watched the online live but no filming location on the credits. I’m a caver (and Danny fan) so I’m losing my mind with curiosity - PLEASE someone figure this out!!!
I have a signed t shirt from you Amigo! You have really helped me/my mind stay strong in times when I’ve needed it. Ur so talented. I will keep buy tickets to ur shows tell I dye! P.S- Cocaine and Able is my favorite song you have wrote. I actually played it and song it while in a rehab center, and everyone was in tears. God Given Talent!!
@@pocket5751 sorry to hear that. Saw him last week in Massachusetts.Didn't think I'd be able to get in due to losing my ID. which wouldn't have been an issue at an all ages show, but yeah covid times....only had money for vinyl which his is impossible to find so I had to. Unfortunately think he's only selling dvd on tour but not 100% sure.
@@Weedeater58 I checked the website and unfortunately not. How was the show?!?! I wish I could have gone. My wife told me to go but I don't want to go to Detroit by myself.
The laugh around 0:47 - I can't tell if that's intentional, or if he's reacting to how fucking cool the acoustics are in this cave, it makes this song more haunting, which is just... yeah.
It so frigging fantastic to hear it so wonderfully RAW…. !!!! When he played at the Aragon in Chicago as an opener for Clutch, HATEBREED and Dropkick on September 30th 2019 … He killed it, !!!! Simply because the Aragon has an oval domed ceiling that was built to carry Big Band non amplified acoustics… He really reverberated some frequencies there that night!!!!
Easily my favorite active musician. I'm rarely hooked on a song during the first listen, songs have to ear worm with me a lotta times. But! This jam right here had me hooked in the first 3rd on my first listen.
Just saw you were playing Shakey Knees, after I fell in love with your music at Muddy Roots in 2019..then somehow met your guitarist on a train in New York a week later. Can’t wait to see you again!
I love Danny. Why? His stuff is very simple, and if you disagree you are a fool. However, he takes what he has and does so much with it. The heavier strumming and tempo, the yelling (which he has perfected) his voice and annunciation. He knows how to do so much with so little and it just blows my mind. Also badass lyrics in every song. Will be seeing you in Wilmington!
Every time I'm with my grandson he asks me to play this...he does this weird spooky dance til the end then goes mental😂his favourite part is the end when Danny says "its Wednesday night, we're gonna play bingo". I have him every Wednesday. He's 6😂
Where did Danny develop his extensive bingo knowledge? Clearly an expert on the bingo battlegrounds. As with Gods love, we as a society aren’t worthy of this song.
"Someone should call the cops...I'm killin it" motivates me on days when I just fuckin can't. What a fanfuckingtastic song about a damn game of bingo 😂
The look of sheer joy on Danny's face after screaming "BINGO" in a cave is something wholesome as FUCK
I lost it at work listing to it for the first time
@@verbalkent6877 me too lol i'm at work now and i just laughed my ass off
Not a lot of cooler things to do on a Tuesday afternoon lol

Every game of bingo is intense.
It's a powerful example of how music can make the seemingly mundane come to life in ways we otherwise wouldn't imagine.
Lol same, the moment I realised it’s just about bingo I laughed so much. Such an amazing song

Nah man. It’s just bingo
i love the energy after SOMEONE SHOULD CALL THE COPS im killing it.
Somebody have this man play Yahtzee so we get a song in a cave about that too.
I'd suggest Uno, but I don't want to die that badly.
Why did I laugh so hard at this.
@@bustinarant What about Monopoly?
Sticks in the mud
@@bustinarant good news is there are already songs about uno so he just has to do a cover
I don't think Danny could get any better acoustics than in a cave. 10/10
It’s one of the few venues truly worthy of his performance.
@@alexclemens2007 agreed
if you dont release the cave version of quiet as a rat ill probably be really sad or something ;_;
Came here to say this.
