Secrets of Eternity was released in January 2015. This set introduced the Infernoids, a series of monsters that can Special Summon themselves to the field by banishing other Infernoids from either the hand or graveyard. Notable cards in set include Farfa, Malebranche of the Burning Abyss, Qliphort Monolith, Uni-Zombie, Nephe Shaddoll Fusion, and a card that would bolster Satellarknight to combat the Burning Abyss Shaddoll meta, Stellarknight Constellar Diamond. In this series, both Nyhmnim and myself will be opening 24 booster packs or 1 box of a core Yu-Gi-Oh! booster set. We will build a deck and play a best 2 out of 3, and the winner will receive a small prize to upgrade their deck. HOWEVER! Each episode, we will open another box of the next set that was released moving in chronological order, constantly upgrading our decks before dueling each other at the end of each episode. This is the Yu-Gi-Oh! Progression Series.

You definitely want to kill DPE on your turn and it only come back in Standby Phase.
Before DPE comes back, you revive Breaksword through PK Wings/Fog Blade in Draw Phase to Rusty arrow which triggers Rusty to destroy Scythe.
Assuming that got negged, now comes Standby Phase : DPE appears to destroy both Dagda and Scythe.
If Scythe fails to revive, there's Dagda GY eff. to still revive the Scythe.
It's 2-3fold 'plan'. You probably need to use 4 cards in hand (2 Super Poly + 2 discard fodders) to get through this.
@@TheOrg4n you would leave it on board so that your scythe doesn't get stopped by a cosmic cyclone during the DP
@@noahclay9020 Now Cosmic Cyclone is fairly New tech people haven't accounted for.
I believe, usually, people would kill their DPE on their turn which would leave Scythe vulnerable to Cosmic Cyclone.
Assuming you brick and only have DPE and Scythe.
If PK goes full combo, they don't need DPE in Draw Phase anyway. They have Rusty and Breaksword to pop Scythe.
The fact that Hero is able to perform this well has me interested in picking up the deck , but would you recommend subbing out the second Increase for the Drawhand, or is that too many D-Heroes?
I'd like to play the 5th D HERO name really badly, but I fear god.

@@MBTYuGiOh disk commander over drawhand can be quite funny too, especially if you can proc dpe effect resurrection effect before going into the cross guy line. nib or gamma make the line accessible without minusing yourself and you get to pot of greed on your opponents turn backed usually by a mask change. if not then ressurecting it before your turn gives you a pot of green and your a normal summon from cross guy dpe back

You can also get laughed at by your friend everytime you play heroes mostly for the fact that he monster reborn's your disk commander then you proceed too lose because of it....

Something that I've been experimenting with lately is Destiny Hero - Dominance.
You would only use him when you draw Fusion Destiny plus either Vyon or Poly, but basically you can Fusion Destiny Dominance out, use Dominance's effect to rearrange the top 5 cards in your opponents deck, normal Vyon to send Shadowmist to search Plasma, than banish the Shadowmist to search Poly, use Malicious and Denier to summon themselves and recycle 1 copy of Mali, then go into DPE with Poly, than use DPE to destroy itself and Dominance triggering Dominance's Soul Charge for 3 effect. From there you can just do the typical Cross Crusader into Plasma plays searching for either Liquid Soldier/ Adusted Gold for a follow up play or Honest Neos if you want to pump up your Plasma/ DPE.
MBT I'm actually legitimately curious, what specifically makes you like heroes? Do you enjoy them conceptually, do you just have a soft spot for them or their gameplay, etc?
Hero's my personal favourite archetype. I find that ratios can be very finicky for it. MBT, your list is better than anything I can come up with. Keep giving heroes the love they deserve
Double increase is standard, mbt is right that 1 is not enuff
I dunno about current format, but before DPE, I would say run 1 and bump Vyon to 3. Format back then was full of handtraps and Vyon NEEDs to be reached, no other normal summon was worth it. The decklist that did well against Nib and got some tops back then had it at 1 and it worked out for me too. In this format, cards like DRNM and Droplet make the game go a bit longer so you might need to threaten opponent with a second Faris activation, so maybe possible. Idk, I never needed 2 back then tho, I would make the board first turn and either win or lose to a board wipe followed by a full negate board or an OTK. It just seems like playing 2 is the same mentality of playing 2 garnets or 2 darlington cobras, it may come up but it's bad in most instances.
@@boraaksitozgun9912 the problem is you need 1 in deck to reach vyon, and drawing increase with only 1 in the decklist is extremely detrimental, and the ratio with 3 ferris 2 vyon, 2 increase facilitates that. I don't agree with mbt running so few stratos as it gets you to Vyon with ferris. Which is not a problem with this version of hero bc it only lock you out of anaconda.
I love combos with Dread Decimator. My personal oddball favorite has been Xtra Hero Infernal Devicer.
Never participated or watched a YGO tournament but I'm a bit baffled by what I hear. How do you end up 17th place when you only lose twice? How do those tournaments works?
It's swiss format. So you will always be playing 6 games. It's after those 6 games, your rankings will be calculated. So if you got 4-2, you will be ranked higher than everyone who went 3-3 or lower, and ranked lower than everyone who went 5-1 or undefeated. Then, who you lost to is calculated. So if your two losses were against people with better records, you will rank higher than if you lost to 2 people who went 1-5. Then finally the top cut (top 16 players) will be determined, and the eliminations finals will be held.
Unlucky on the bubble dude, but good to see heroes doing well. In the past, this deck was complete trash but the recent wave of support and current format make heroes a solid rogue contender
The Ab Zero, sunriser, acid line up is the decks defense against backrow deck. otherwise you're losing every game one against a backrow deck in which they don't brick, or u already know what their playing so u can pray DPE carries you.

Not surprised Wonder Driver underperformed, it really just almost never comes up. Have you considered running Trinity? He's a bit resource intensive but honestly steals some games out of nowhere, especially if you have a Super Poly sitting in your hand during the Battle Phase.
If you've got a Super-Poly for BP and 3 HEROs, a monster that can't attack directly probably isn't where you want to be.
Wonder Driver comes up a lot if you play Sunriser plus Absolute Zero, but if you don't than yeah I could see it not coming up as much.
What changed your mind from the hero tmt version to this version?
I figured based on a hypothetical banlist that staying under the HERO lock was important. I do not believe it is anymore!
definitely a cool list, i like 2 vyon alot actually i dont think its remotely the best normal summon its better with set up like when youve summoned it off faris which is easy to do, im not convinced on bane totally yeah there were a few cades wher ei wanted it but those were games i was losing anyway, sunriser is too goand using your poly on it is irelevant as you easily reset it off wonder driver, right now im not actually running the 4th D-HERO or the dystopia though i admit in the grind game it can come i dont typically want to go to the grind game with hero but cool list chalice is based and i like super poly alot too

I don’t think nibiru is that great. Bird up, floowandereez nuts, eventually drytron and sword soul can play through that. I doesn’t do much by itself (which sound surprising I know). Dark ruler is just way better as it hits every deck mentioned above, excepted floowandereez. But maybe you play it because hero wants to otk or something, I don’t know what this deck aim to do anyway lmao
Nibiru is a Rogue-killer, stops bird up before they go into UDF, will either force a discard with Orange Light or neg them a lot so Drytron wont end up on Ultimateness + DPE + Scythe + 2/3 fairies in hand, and Swordsoul with either end with a big Token and an unusable Blackout or will have their Baroness used since it is not "once per turn" but "once, while face-up"
Dark ruler can deal with all these pretty easily but it has some drawbacks:
-Does nothing on Scythe, then you lose.
-IO/Anti Spell is in almost every side deck, and Prosperity helps you get it more consistently than in the past.
-You cant OTK that turn, so you have to break their board, establish your best possible board, then pray that they dont have Nibiru or DRNM/Droplet/Storm/Evenly of their own.
HERO decks typically dont have "effect negation", only Skill Drain-like negation via Plasma

why dynatag over decider/celestial?
You want malicious and denier in grave so celestial doesn't have good targets, and you run dasher over decider, which has no targets
-Decider is great for recycling either 1 hero for followup or Cross Crusader if you need an extra deck space so you run only 1.
-Drawhand is a free body for Dark Law that can recycle 1 Fusion Destiny/Poly for followup if you end on Wonder Driver, also post siding you can lock your opponent with Droll.
-Dynatag can save you from an OTK or give a little boost but with Sunrise Dystopia doesnt need it and Plasma cant be attacked that easily. On top, Dynatag is lvl 5, so it it cant be used for DPE (the lvl6+ hero monster) or Dystopia's burn effect (lvl4 or lower).
Here MBT prefers the Evil Package instead of Miracle Fusion, so to enable a possible Dystopia he needs Dynatag, even if fusion destiny is dedicated to DPE, or else Poly wouldn't have much use. This also makes Wonder Driver less useful, so it is fine if you dont run it.
This is completely personal preference, i respect his opinion, but i strongly disagree. While his build works perfectly under a Fusion Destiny starting (locks into DARK Hero, not just HERO), Sunrise completely outclashes the semi-vanilla Adoration, combos very well with Wonder Driver, gives you a super easy Absolute Zero or 2 extra bodies (with Escuridao doubling as a super poly target) to either push for game or generate enough tributes for Plasma.
On the other hand, while Bane is very good as a plan B to boardwipe, it's not really needed and you cut 1 brick from your deck (opening calling is very bad because you still need access to Adusted). Miracle Fusion while it can be a brick has potential for re-use via Wonder Driver, is better for turn 1 plays, can secure a good followup and boardwipe via Absolute Zero + abusing Liquid for draws.

Overall yeah, but this is made for a high level tournament
Droplets is EXTREMELY good in this deck. Probably your best bet would be Imperm in that slot.
Being able to Droplet send Shadow Mist is too good. You can get away with not running it, but you're putting yourself at a huge disadvantage considering current board setups.

Ngl i dont understand the difference between forbidden chalice and imperm apart from the fact that chalice seems worse?
Imperm seems better in a vaccum, but in a deck like HERO that aims to go second usually anyway, FoCh has much more applications. Like Joseph said, it trades negates while you have a monster on board, unlike Imperm, so you can negate stuff like DPE, Baronne and Shrike while also continuing with your combo.
Chalice has a couple of corner case uses such as damage step use (Imperms can't do that while in hand or set), and Chalice is better at helping break boards because you can use it on your turn from hand while you control things. Imperm is great, but Chalice is amazing this meta for niche cases
Chalice can be used while you control cards, which;
1) Let's you deal with stuff that might activate/appear mid-combo. (Floowandereeze Trap, DPE, I:P, Token Collector)
2) Comes up in the grind game and is a better topdeck.
3) Let's you surprise your opponent and make them misuse their interruptions.
In this format specifically, low impact handtraps are also not preferred. None of the meta Decks will lose to a single Imperm; their end board will get significantly hindered by one though. Which means you use Chalice as go-2nd break the board card primarily, in which case, it is better than Imperm.
He explained it in the video. If your oponnent has like an Apo + an Ash, imperm will just negate the Apo but you may still loose to the Ash at a critical point. With chalice on the other hand if your opponent uses Apo to negate you can chain chalice. At this point it is to late for your opponent to chain Ash.
Impermenance cannot be chained as CL3 from hand and has to be sequenced exactly one way with Droplets.

I’m still in the two increase camp which is old school thought. IMO Stratos is still the best summon.
Pot of Prosperity make E Call and multiple Stratos unnecessary. The "established" HERO build these days plays 0 E Calls.

My opinion stratos is a 2 of he’s amazing to see but not a good 3 off.
Vyon should be at 3 it the best normal summon in deck even if u see 2 of in hand coz u have one for next turn. Oh and increase is a 1 of it a Garnet you don’t went to see it.
