It's a shame most people think of this as nothing but noise. As far as music is concerned screamo is hands down the most 'heart on your sleeve' genre out there.

Only this type of screamo, not the bastardized scene screamo being marketed. This band would never be marketed because they aren't tailor made for stupid scene kids. You can tell the difference between the bands.
If you listen to I hate myself who were a big influence on screamo, it's hard to believe them when they said they wrote their music as a joke and tongue in cheek considering how emotional their vocals were.

what you guys say is true. its just that i personally feel that bands like these should be rewarded more. because they are passionate about what they do and not just because they can scream well. true. anyone can scream into a mic. but not with real emotion. and not the gay escape the fate or scene kid emotion. real emotion.
