Update: Some people have been asking if this build is nerfed or still as good. Well it's even better now. A few patches ago they fixed "fueled by death - passive" so I suggest using that now. Otherwise, a few patches ago this set was patched in damage so the build does even better now. Glad you guys are enjoying it!

Just found this build and am trying to put it together. Haven't played D3 in a while and I was wondering if I actually need the Trag'oul's scythe for it to work, or are there any other weapons I could run? Thanks. =)
Just started playing a few weeks ago and after farming gear this is actually (95%) exactly what i put together, I wanted to theory craft for myself then get a second opinion and the only difference i have is instead of that chest armor i use the shoulders that blast a fan of knives when hit, it addsa chance to proc bleeds and does good aoe. But other than that great vid and thanks for the couple noob tips haha 😂

to make it even more lazy, I recommend cubing the Illusory Boots instead of Frostburn. Then you can literally run through enemies and not even have bother with running around them. I haven't seen Frostburn be much benefit in the cube since you already have the Blind Faith Helm.
Most gun build ever. A nice relaxing run after the constant spam fest of my blood mage build, and the frenetic play of my blood lance build. Subscribed. Awesome.
Holy shit I tried using a level 25 toxin gem and level 25 pain enhancer with level 50 bane of the trapped; it handled a t13 really well. Too well in fact. I hope blizz let this one slide

just a quick tip for people with only 1 Monitor. If you want to deactivate your numlocked skills, you can simply turn your numblock back on and click the locked skill once. :) in case someone didnt know
First of all thanks for spreading the build to your viewers. When I tried it first I totally fell in love with it and I highly suggest it to anyone playing Necro and doing speedruns.
And now don't get me wrong but what exactly are the changes you made in this build to make it more appealing to you? You changed Final Service for Spreading Maledicton and go with Aquila to get more tanky okay, but that's nothing that wasn't in the original video. Good thing you said armor slot in cube is totally free cuz you really don't need Aquila for farming GR 60-70. Once you are at 15 stacks of Bone Armor you're in god mode anyway so you can get easily go for Forstburn or smth in cube to give even more dps. Sure Aquila would help for higher GR but that's where your dmg starts to fall off and stop you from speedrunning anyway.
There's one thing I want to give you on the way. Use numlock on your devour, it's so much more efficient than manually tapping it.

Replace Helmet (with blind chance) with the ring Brigg's Wrath (pulls enemies when you curse them). I'm assuming the pull of the ring works like the pull from Cyclone spells from Monk. Correct me if I'm wrong :)

I believe the original build was made by Mugenmush and he did a freakin lengthy youtube video explaining the mechanics behind it....but i might be wrong

If youre using harvest of anguish rune for your bone armor why not go with frostburn instead of blind faith since you done have both of them on anyway? Blind faith chance can only go up to 40% whislt frostburn has 50% chance to freeze enemies plus is increases the damage of your bonestorm too.
It's mainly to do with how often bone storm procs the frost burns freeze. While a 50% chance seems pretty high, it actually ends up being a really low chance for it to actually happen because of how the bone tornado ticks damage. I don't remember the specific math behind it, but it just isn't that great. I don't even think blind faith is a good option either. Both end up being procced at a pretty low rate and imo it is just better to run full 6 piece and not use a RoRG and replace it with something more beneficial. I personally run a CoE, Kyrbins, and a briggs wrath(this ring is awesome).

Well, then, maybe they will buff it until it is game breaking, then nerf it beyond recognition because it's too powerful.
They already nerf all the Inarius set builds when they nerfed Bonestorm's proc chance for Mirinae
Shinobi, try Frostburn's. If you can get a decent Aquila, you can put on the Inarius helm, the Aquila chest and put a pair of Frostburns in the cube. This way, your Bone Armor is using a cold ability and activating the 50% chance to freeze enemies affected by your cold ability. This is an increase the CC of the helm by, in your case, 19%.

Really looking forward to finishing putting this build together. I'm wondering if anyone can answer why use Trag'Oul's Corroded Fang since we don't use Grim Scythe. Would this work to use Frostburn's in the cube and Aquila on the chest and then use something like Rimeheart as the wep as it has a 20% chance to do 10,000% weapon dmg to mobs that are frozen. I'll start by building it as is (can't seem to get Dayntee's to save my life), but was hoping someone could respond and let me know at the very least why Trag'Oul's is the wep of choice for this. Is there an affix or proc I'm missing?
Okay, youngest child let me know that the curse dmg augment is for all curses and isn't related to Grim Scythe. So I get that. But IF one used Frostburns wouldn't RimeHeart do more dmg? Especially since it's really the gems doing the dmg? Again, any help is appreciated!

Hi, I like video, must say I made almost the same build just with endless walk jewelery and krysbian, gems at 0, just Bane at 52 lvl... I went through at T13 and it was torture, putting fate in this build, still needs complete some bits, crossing fingers, hey it must be good afterall, it is harder to get it :D
Cool build, after the main items you can paly with any helmet etc., Andariel's worked pretty good, you got stuck in a pack and it blew them up. Also I could play around with one of the runes and it didn't change how the build worked. I had only one gem on twenty five, Bane, I used the build to bring them up to twenty five, but I did have high paragons which helped in the rift. After T13 I think you need really high paragons and high high legendary gems. It is very fun to play and you zoom through the rifts and greater rifts with lots of time to spare. A very fun build. Although on my first rift before I had my Bone armour swirling around me as I entered the rift I had a red door with no trash and couldn't break through and it took ages hitting it before my bone armour kicked in, I thought what the hell I can't get passed this locked door. All in all a fun build mate.
It's been a year since the last update and you said the build has improved. Is that still the case? I have the gear you show in the video, but I'm nowhere near 500 million toughness. I'm maxing about half that, and on t14 and above still pretty squishy? Any suggestions?
I'm building this build on console, just missing the elements ring, bracers, and the chest piece. My question is would the Cord of the Sherma be good with this build? It's the belt that blinds and slows on hit.

Hey Shinobi you say you like thoughness, i was playing around with replacing the necklace with a chc chd kymbos gold, a gold wrap and a level 50 hoarder. Try it out if you are bored pretty funny thoughness en healing levels.

You could opt for a Overhelming Desire. Im pretty sure it doesnt have cooldown on the charm. Considering its also on hit effect.
problem is not build but luck... some people will be lucky and get all necessary gear for this build and some might struggle and maybe never
I don't normally comment on channels but need to say thank you for this build. I did make a few changes below to increase survivability, damage, and gold.
Replaced Eff Toxin gem with Boon of the Horder.
Using Goldwrap Belt.
Cubed Mr. Hexing Pants for 25% extra dmg since I am constantly moving.
Also using Death Nova/Blood for concentrated packs instead of Blood Rush.
This build is very simple and easy to gear for. Again thank you...

I love the lazy builds. Babysitting, and using all 6 abilities, and waiting, and spamming mages turned me off of necro. I may give this one a try. In pre season i was using a Goldwrap build of some kind but was terrible for GRs. I wonder how this will perform in GRs? Thanks for sharing.
You ruined your weapon man. Bottom roll dps and still rolling 10% damage is worse than maxing damage range

I've been using a build similar to this one for a while now, but it's even lazier, instead of bonespirit & decreptify I use ice golem & command skeletons with the freezing rune, I use goldwrap and boon of the hoarder, and basically the way this build plays, is you press bone armour once every 60 seconds and just run through mobs, that's it.. command golem and command skeletons can be used to instantly activate your ring's triple bonus, but you don't have to use it at all.
It's so lazy and I just love it, it's good to get some farming done without having to worry about giving yourself carpal tunnel or RSI.
I saw this video and decided to give it a go since I only needed tree items or so .. and damn its fun and very good, I only got my legendary gems at lvl 50 or so and running torment 13 is pretty easy , not clearing in 2-3 min but more like 5 min .. and my stuff is not that good rolled .. :)

How is your attack so high? I have everything in the set, all the skills, Paragon 407 right now and my attack is only 200k.
I don't have the gems leveled up that high yet.
I have all topaz, amethyst in the helm. Emerald in the weapon.
You intelligence is over 11k too. Mine is only 9k

So i found another Weapon just rolled better and my attack went from 289k to almost 600k. So maybe it could be that the #1 and 2 are kind of low and I had a shitty weapon. All gems are about 40-45 right now. I shred through GR60. I want that 1.3 mil Attack tho lol
Frostburn gives a 50% chance to freeze enemies on hit.. Plus it buffs your cold damage. Wouldn't that be better than Blind Faith, and then you use the set piece head?
EDIT: i just realized that even though you can use the cold rune for bone armor, the pain enhancer gem is physical. Do you think the gem really does that much more damage than the bone armor?
Pain Enhancer is the largest single source of damage. In my recommended setup for the build, I use *both* Blind Faith (equipped) and Frostburn (cubed). Blind Faith is actually a bit better between the two if it's close to 40% because the blind generally lasts longer (seems to always be 2 seconds) than the freeze (1-2 seconds, sometimes seemingly less). Frostburn is primarily useful for the freeze, not the damage. The damage that the bone storm itself does is fairly minor (about 1B crits with my gear, which is good - about 2.3M sheet DPS) - that's because the 2-piece bonus from Inarius actually has no impact on the storm damage, only the skill activation damage (same goes for Bone Armor %). The calculation for the storm damage is actually completely wrong on d3planner because it includes the 1000%. The storm is completely essential for the build to work at all, but it's more for utility (applying blind, freeze, Lost Time, and the 6-piece damage buff) than actual damage. I talk about this (at length) in the video guide. This is Zombeaver by the way :)
And for the mages i would recommend reapers wraps + the chance to spawn a health globe passive. Literally you just pick up one or 2 globes and pop mages, and keep doing that, until you at 10 and you have land of the dead and simulacrim or whatever it's called for the rift guardian or to use it in the begining just to get 10 mages out fast. Then you literally just pop 2 new mages every 1 or 2 health globes you pick up as you run through the map.
Having to constantly watch when I need to click my mages again even if I have unlimited essence is annoying to me. With this, I don't worry about that. I run around. gg.
You should try my poison bone storm. Clears way faster. Jozspike on Dfans.
I think Rimeheart / frostburns would be pretty strong at higher grifts for quick runs.
I don't know how often Rimeheart would proc, but who knows it could proc as much as smite gem did before the nerf.
( I don't have a rimeheart in my cube to test)
It really doesn't work, not to any efficient degree. There's not nearly enough freeze going on here for it to work. The only time it even *can* proc is on frozen enemies and literally the only freeze here is from Frostburn which is 1-2 seconds of freeze. So you've got a 20% chance on a 1/3 coefficient from the bone storm in a window of 1-2 seconds that procs with a 50% chance on a 1/3 coefficient. It's not even remotely worth the damage loss by dropping either Shadowhook or Fang, both of which are global multipliers (i.e. they make a huge difference in the damage).
Since you asked about it on my video, I even went as far as to completely change the build around to put in multiple freeze sources like Corpse Explosion: Dead Cold, Command Skeletons: Freezing Grasp, and Command Golem: Ice Golem, and changing Bone Spirit: Possession to Bone Spirit: Unfinished Business and it *still* doesn't work well. It's *still* inefficient even with *multiple* sources of freeze.
That's because you're absolutely murdering all the rest of the damage in the build in order to have a small-proc chance damager that doesn't make up for it. Bone Spirit itself (which is on-demand rather than random) with both Fang+Shadowhook+other bonuses actually does about the same amount of damage (312B with my gear / 36% Phys) as the Rimeheart proc (261B with Phys damage or 339B if the 36 Phys is swapped for Cold %) when you take Shadowhook's bonus out of the picture. And on top of that, all the passive damage is now significantly less too - Pain Enhancer's 178B DPS with Shadowhook / 67B DPS without, Toxin's 36B DPS with Shadowhook / 13B DPS without.
I wish it worked, I really do; but it just doesn't. Neat idea, but the damage isn't there.

This build is great! But, unfortunately, it only takes me so far in the Greater Rifts. I was able to beat GR 76 with this setup.

I either have the worst rolled gear ever or I'm missing something because I can't do this WITH my paragon. 620 paragon , gems are 60 and CHC is 52%. Struggling past 65.
Same here. I get up to about GR65 with 780 paragon and elites are 1-shotting me.
I'm not sure if it's just on my end but the video isn't syncing with my voice. This didn't happen when I rendered it, it's youtube not processing the video correctly. Maybe it will correct it's self later on.

With Blind Faith, Bone Spirit: Possession & Sultan of Blinding on Follower (Enchantress (Charm & Mass Control)) this gives a solid damage-reduction, due to the huge amount of blinds & charms around you.
Imho, this combo frees up the armory slot in your cube as Aquila's will no longer be required for speedfarming (at least).
Regarding the patchnotes for 2.6.1 on PTR, Steuart’s Greaves will gain a massive buff to movement-speed (75%-100% for 10 sec. after using Blood Rush).
This exchange would possibly make the build way faster, than it already is.
FOR ANYONE PLAYING THIS BUILD IN SEASON 13!!!
Currently playing season 13. Inarius set buffed since this video, my gems are lvl 50-55, a few ancients no augments, and paragon 500~ . I can clear t13 but certainly not to this degree, ALOT slower. I barely cleared my 70GR. This build seems to have gotten quite a nerfstick. Its really super great until that 70GR/t13 mark. With an ancient weapon and his 97trapped gem this might work better. Higher level gems seem to be needed for this to currently be viable for anything upper echelon.
Dude, thank you for this build. I used a make-shift version to do solo Grift 50 to unlock Torment 13. After running T13for a bit, i went back and corrected my gear/build to duplicate this video, that's when i did T70. It's my main build. I love it. After paragon 1k, I found i was tanky enough to drop devour for rifts and T75+ Grifts. So I also dropped bone spirit, and added Land of Dead( frozen) and corpse lance( brittle). Works very good, had to give you props where due.
Tried this build. It's ok if you're not trying to finish the season journey of chapter 5 - 7. It's the laid back build. However, to get anywhere from GR 80+ this build will not work. Admitedly, it does have good damage mitigation, but its damage output is not consistent enough to clear huge mobs, along with elites. Personally, I use Rathmas. Singularity Necro. Im currently at GR 106. Worth it.

Fun build. I can get through T12 no problem.. I have cleared T13 60 a few times, but not without considerable difficulty. Some bosses single shot me. Health is low, and need to keep farming better versions of this gear I think. Any other advice? My build so far:

How do you get your legen rings and amulet to have sockets? Lucky and get them socketed ? Transmog lady dont seem to roll them , after newb me wasting 50 gems on her :)
before rolling for sockets, check each option if it has the socket available (usually the last 2 don't have sockets availability, so you have to choose one of the first 3). Press the tiny question mark that is at the end of each option and see where is the socket on the list. Then roll that one. In some 10-15 attempts maximum you will have the socket on any jewelry. If you roll on the last one or two options (like I was doing in the begining) the socket will never come because is not available there.
Hello Shinobi, I have been experimenting with this build jewelry-wise. You mention that you use the "Wisdom of Kalan" at 6:59 and that it increases your damage from bone armor. If I havent missunderstood the abillity itself 5 more stacks of bone armor will not increase damage (both regarding activation and passive damage), it will only increase your damage reduction. Am I wrong in this statement? If so, please explain the basic mechanic regarding the damage that I am missing out on here. Cheers!

This build can't do high GR. I have a very strong Inarius build slightly different than this with primal weapon and level 88 gems. I have done mid 80s in GRs and that's pushing it with augmented gear Paragon 830. You should use Rathma or Tragul for higher.
Could you use Relinas shadowhook as main weapon and cube Trag´oul´s ?? .. I just got an primal ancient Relinas XD
Hey Shinobi, just found an Primal ancient trifecta frostburn and it has the same effect as blind faith. except i has a 50% chance on hit of bone armor/ the storm from bone armor. I'm watching all but the juggernauts poping the second they freeze on t13

I was just using the regular inarius build but this is beyond awesome. I am literally clearing T13's in 2-3 minutes and my gear isn't great yet. No augments, a relatively low paragon of 318 at the time I saw the build and put it into use, I wasn't even running the efficacious toxin gem yet. Loving this build now.
love the video and love the format keep up tjhe amazing work shinobi! i hate seeing other ppls vids where they spend half a sec explaining and dont use a webcam and usually just spout stats not explain mechanics and reasons. Would kinda love to see you edit gameplay though with ur cam so we can see you playing the build while you explain it
It's kind fo annoying that this guy pronounces everything differently from pretty much the entire rest of the d3 content creator community and blizzard reps themselves. Inarius, krysbins, tra'gouls, all said with his weird ass pronunciation.
Just wow...I am a huge fan of everything passive and this is just beautiful. My items are not even close to your level and Im running through T11 easily. Changed a few things here and there, also took the devour aura to be even lazier. Its amazing! THANK YOU
I love this build. It's so lazy and effective! What is the easier way to get Krysbin's Ring? Without this ring, Necro's damage is greatly suffered and I can't advance in higher Rift. I have been trying to get this ring from Kadala with Blood Shards. But still no luck! :(
Hey great guide, I’ll have to try this next season “12”, season 11 was my first season I attempted to play and I started 2 days before the season ended I had just enough time to unlock the set and I had no clue about the “cube” or augmenting equipment.
So this guide will help me next season greatly just only if I can get all the set together lol and figure out half the shit you were talking about.
The statement is wrong. Rathma with bone spikes and freezing skeleton command is the most consistent at proccing krysbin, but this is close.
Provided Command Skeleton works. I've had it refuse to activate against a rift guardian before, it would activate versus it's minions but not on the RG its self. Then there is the issue of keeping it activated when density isn't great. Honestly command skeletons is the worst part of using most mage builds for me.
Helm is only 30% blind but use Frostburn gloves for 20% cold damage and 50% freeze. Better imo. Also swap neck for the chance to charm on hit and 35% damage boost.

I have a question! How does it work with your Full set? I cant convert The set items in The Cube and you dont wear The Head. Where is The Head? I only can Decide between The inarius or The blind faith head.
Yeah!, far better build than the other variants i have tried. he got me when he talked about waiting for bone armor, cause i always waited for it with my previous build. I hate corpse lance and land of the dead with a passion, having to completely gimp your gear in order to get all that cd reduction, so this build was a nice change.
My main problem is that i always get those crappy helms and sell them and now when i need one i don't have it lol, i'm sure crapdala will grant me one eventually.
Looks fun. Especially for HC. My necro is so squishy and im afraid of not using the passive for resurrecting once every 60s like I do on my sunwuko monk.

Question - so on gear - specifically amulets - it is better to get the 10% crit chance or 20% physical damage buff. I have a sweet ancient Wisdom amulet - nearly perfect - and I re-rolled 10% crit when I had 51% crit chance (increasing it to 61%), but my buff to physical damage is at 18% from bracers and I don't know if getting the increased physical would be worth the swap.

What's the proc coefficient on bone storm though? Would affect the blind on helm a lot
Take off devour and bone spirit, and try corpse explosion dead cloud and land of the dead frozen lands. This lets you not have to have rorg in the cube and its pretty helpful vs juggernauts. Had to roll life on hit on weapon and helm to get the sustain back. Works real good imo.
I Modified this for HC : Switch to stormshield, you aren't getting a that much from "lost time".
if you then also switch to "justice lanthern" ring instead of convention (here you lose a lot of damage)
you are getting like another 50% dmg reduction + the blocks.. and can really stand in stuff..
the problem with it as is, for hc, one disconnect can waste you, and also, another explosion would have killed you etc...
yeah, stuff will die slower, but not that much slower.. and your ability to really like, survive anything..

Thanks for the video! This helped me beat GR70 (although just barely with several deaths and less than a minute remaining but still beat it) and unlock primal ancient drops. With my previous build I had stalled at about GR57. Luckily I already had all the needed items so didn't even have to do any grinding.
I might try this build and put in deaths bargain instead of aquilla cuirass. With numlocked devour life wont be an issue ( i hope!).
Miss the old lazy marauders build till they changed and nerfed it

He has that from the Convention of Elements ring, it changes every couple seconds to a different colour, basically cycling between all the elements specific to your class.

this feels slow to me. Just because ingeom/Singularity is down when you get a shitty rift dsn't mean this build is doing any better in a shitty rift.
In my opinion using Envious blade is the best way to proc krysbin, plus it synergizes well with pain enhancer.
Is gem of toxin worth it over powerful? i mean it is over 10sek.. :) running similar build but low toxin gem
