Not to suck Blizzard's dick or anything, but every class got significant changes on the PTR.
Barb, Crusader, Monk, Wizard and Necromancer all cleared a 110, with Demon Hunter at 109 and Witch Doctor at 105.
We'll have to see how much of the buffs will make it live and when people start pushing the limits, but their attention has gone far past their precious little DLC class.
Jonah Stutesman was god set in first iteration of closed beta so not surprised :)

Holy fuck. Just tried this build on the PTR, 2m sheet damage and 21m toughness, Just blew through a 70 in 2 1/2 minutes like it was nothing lol. I can see this build getting nerfed. A lot. hitting 200+ billion corpse lance and melting RG in half a second. Sweet jesus. Blizzard, don't fuck this over XD

wizard class is completely trash compared to necro, mate. you can kill the rg in one rotation in gr100-110 without even stacking stricken much. played wizard as well past seasons (wasnt a main wizard and not that good i admit) and had some issues to kill the rg with just one or even two archons. at a certain point necro is kinda face roll and outdamages other classes by far. no doubt about that
Pestilence is like that chick you knew back in high school. She was kinda ugly back then, nothing going for her at all then 10 years later you see her in the mall and she's rocking a tight little body, making you wish you had appreciated her back then.

Not sure what my problem is but any mob even so much as looks at me sideways and it's instant death. Edit: I forgot to change my passives away from my thorns summoner build. Now I survive. This clears so fast it feels like cheating

Sounds well rounded. Use Razor Teeth for T13 rifts/bounties/ low gem levels, use this for mid high GR, use your solo/group highest for 100+

The requirement for Blood Is Power is complete and utter bullshit. Wizards and Monks get 20% cooldown passives with absolutely ZERO requirements. The BIP requirement has got to go.
Your awesome dude coming from one solo player to the other these necro speed build slike the bloodmage and the singularity speed build have helped me level on gems and paragon level but anyway just wanted to say thanks for all your help
If they want players to use bone spear they better buff bone spear for good, because 500% for a secondary skill is bad.
Land of the dead+corpse lance is arguably the best combo in the game and it's hard to compete with that, but it looks like they just don't know what else to do since 3 of the 4 sets of necro plays like this. Other skills are just for fondling purposes.

Insane build I hope blizz doesn't nerf this. On console we don't have the chance to test these ptr changes so I really hope this build makes it through the ptr to live so we console players can try this out.

Sad that all these speed builds are lotd, which feels like total crap if you can't roll perfect CDR on every item and get bad elite luck so you end up waiting 50 sec between lotd anyway. Makes farming T13 a pain when you get an amazingly bad tileset with tons of walls/obstacles and very little elite density

you really need every piece of this gear in the build. I'm missing the OROTZ and a socket at the moment for The Johnstone... and my dps with the ingeom is horrible with non ancients... not viable unless better rolls on gear thats for sure. Totally dependent on CDR and very squishy build, getting one shotted a lot, but looks fun once i upgrade pieces.

Good build but you can reach the same speed with Multishot too (not in 2 and under but in 3-4 minutes)
Necro is squishy as fuck... one wrong step or no In-Geom and you are dead
PS: shock tower / lacuni can kick your ass immediately (it isn't always possible to doge or MOVE) sometimes it also happens that you don't have any elites near by

I really like this build, but bone spear is still very underwhelming, much like the previous impale DH. Hope there will be a Karlei's Point for Bone spear. :)

Quick question about corpse lance (skill). How often is that actually used? Looks like it's only there to trigger the 3rd poison skill or double elites. The main source of damage comes from devour, is that right?
I also really like how dislocation is your shield to keep mobs from one shot while in between blood rush.

That's pretty much right, you only corpse lance when you need to focus down an elite or get the third poison stack. If you play a variant with Leoric's crown you can be a bit more liberal with the corpse lance firing.
Devour does 0 damage. It is only used because the 2 piece set bonus of the pestilence set makes it fire corpse lances at nearby enemies. Corpse lane is doing almost all of the damage
I am pretty sure they meant the corpse lances generated from devour,versus the ones you hard cast.
Geno C Devour also triggers the buff. I guess he put it on skill bar to get the specific poison rune.
Devour does not actually trigger it, you have to manually cast it.

This is the best solo speedfarm in the game currently!
Aside from the obviously overtuned damage output, this is exactly what I imagined a Necro Speedfarm build would look like when I leveled my fresh Necro and tried out Corpse Lance for the first time. Getting to lv70 and seeing Skeletal Mage everywhere for speedfarm kinda ruined the class for me, lol. Picked the wrong season to get back into the game and try out the new class.

Well I know that I never play the same class 2 seasons in a row, else I get bored, so... not gonna play Necro for a while.
I'll give this a shot once I get my hands on some more pestilence parts, as I've had so much fun running Bonespear for the entire way from 51 to paragon lv 199, and still am using that thing right now until I am done with part 4 of the seasonal journey. After that I'll propably switch to a Trag'oul skele-mage build because it seems a lot more fun than Trag'oul corpse lance. And , using bone spear, even if only as a piece to power up corpse lance, to pay tribute to all the time it easily carried me through is nice.
...Or I might farm for pets, because I REALLY need charlotte now that I've seen her haha.
You should try my poison inaruce build devour, poison mage blood rush bone armor and aura cure with poison based weapon and helmet if u want to try it I'll send u the details on it
It looks like they buffed the 6 piece pestilence to 4000% empowered bone spear and corpse lance/explosion to 2000% today.

Pretty darn good/fun build Fluff, and it is fast!
Note#1: Density is your friend, and you do better without a lot of walls and doors. I got stuck a couple of times where LotD wasn't back up and I hadn't had an elite pack for a bit, then it struggles as you Blood Rush about (which still gives you great speed btw) trying to get some corpses, being sure to keep up BA and throwing the occasional Bone Spear. I can see where this might present a problem at higher GRs if you get the wrong map.
One time I made the mistake of casting LotD at the end of a fight with 2 elite packs and a rare pack, used up all of the corpses and their purple orbs spawned the RG, but LotD was on cooldown. I had to Blood Rush around for about 15 seconds until LotD came back up, then the RF went down in moments.
Note#2: On a big open map, the screen fills with lances coming from every direction and you basically stroll through the map massacring everything and you practically have perma-LotD. Don't even need the pylons, but the rifts end so quickly that I was really surprised at how fast it went (2 - 2.5 minutes!) and then the RG goes down lickety-split.
Note#3: It takes some getting used to, you have to juggle your use of Bone Armor, casting CorpseLance a bit, Bone Spear, Blood Rushing every few seconds (keeps up your speed), Devour and keeping your eye on LotD.

There's probably no way to squeeze CoE into this is there? That'd be a massive damage increase with the way the Necro works with CoE.
In the sub GR80 version, you could drop RORG + stuarts for COE no problem

Have you considered (for the gr 80+) using Blind Faith (with cubed Pauldrons) and using the Shallow graves rune for the 2 extra seconds (would lower the required CDR for the build) or Plaguelands for the 4rth poison skill.
OR cube the Cord of sherma belt (instead of greaves) - would require testing though.

With over 1000 paragon, and an experienced necro player, this build is way way too squishy. I mean, one arrow in a t13 regular rift will one shot you. 2 arrows if you have the full 10 stacks of bone armor. Yes it is fast. But if youre wanting to do fast 90's, or even 80s, good luck surviving.
Please do stop by the stream and watch this build in action, running it daily for speed and it is the best in the game!
So I'm at 1.2 million damage with this build and can barely beat a 85 but steamroll anything below. How much investment is required power wise to farm 90 GR's and whats the highest you were able to farm before this build gives diminishing returns, just 90's?
Full augments 90+, gems 90+ and probably around 1300 paragon

Do I use the build in the video or the one on DiabloFans? The equipment and some skills are different. I don't get why you would use Bone Ringer shield when you don't have Command Skeletons. Thanks in advance!
The DiabloFans Guide is kept up to date, but the video is a more tanky alternative. Bone Ringer is just a stat stick, there's no off hand that would benefit the build more than a good dps phylactery.

one question? I was wondering if there is any slight manipulation to this build that you haven't tried? I love this build but I suffer a bit with cooldown as of right now, but I will get there. Playing with this build and the inarius build as well. Do you have any ideas for other gear that may pose some use as I am scratching my head right now on what other things that players can use till they get what they need as far as jewelry and bracers or even another weapon option. Love the channel and keep up the good work! It helps me pulse my curiosity and try other things to see if I can get some interesting results or better.

Lol i didn't have the item strength to run this build :( so i went to inarius aoe build. Down side to that is your tank and have random proc effects via legendary gems and items. Constant dps low burst but you can tank like a boss.

2.6.6 Hey! I'd love to try this pestilence corpse lance (+ ring of grandeur for compass rose + johnstone (or new flavour) for travelers + crimson belt for vigilantes + captain crimsons boots or pants for pest boots or pants).
Shortly: not playable without huge CDR = expansive gearing optimization ... but yea, fun to play and strong as well

You do get one shot, I don't think I sold this as a tanky build. You have to play smart and dodge often.
How do you keep Land of the Dead up? I have 50% CDR yet it's still has like, 20 seconds of down time every time.
So you won't have 100% uptime on LOTD, that's not the point and it's actually impossible. You want to kill at least 1 elite for every rotation of LOTD to proc in-geom which will shave another 10seconds off your cooldown. You'll more than likely also proc Blood Is Power just by taking damage and spamming blood rush which yields even more cooldown. But even with both of those going off, you'll still have to throw out a handful of spears and proc obsidian ring of the zodiac to shave off those last seconds.
Question: is it possible to use Simulacrum instead of bone spear? don't know if Simulacrum triggers the 2 piece set bonus but if it does it can be a huge dmg buff.
simulacrum only copies "secondary skills" which corpse lance is not. Furthermore you need bone spear to proc obsidian ring of the zodiac
nice how 3/4 sets only work well with corpselance *gamedesign* hopefully they remove corpselance from this set and try to concentrate on them spears
Ring of the Zodiac+ Krysbin+ Ouroboros, Halcyon's Ascent or Hellfire for Rathma's Shield seems to be better options, since LOTD is up all the time and you almost never get the Macab bonus.
I think you need to re-read Johnstone. You get the damage bonus while in land of the dead now, from your last land of the dead cast. It changed in 2.6.1.
Would this build be useable in Season 11? I realize the stats will be lower, resulting in lower GR's and less fast clearing of T13, but would it be playable?

So you don't NUMLOCK Devour in this build because you're spamming CorpseLance, or do you mix-n-match as needed?

I do use numlock for devour in this build. We don't manually cast corpselance very often and we talk about it in the video. Only use corpse lance if you don't think you can kill the elite before LOTD expires.
I kinda figured this out on my own once I got it built and was running through. The first time, I tried it on a T10 (being super cautious to get used to the timing/build) and it didn't work very well. A 2nd try with Devour NumLocked worked great and was much easier to play, so I stuck with that afterwards.

Why wouldnt you use the standard Corpse Lance build as you do in high GR and use Obsidian Zodiac ring with Krysbin in cube instead of CoE? The uptime on Land of the Dead then gets almost permanent.
There are no spenders to proc obsidian ring in the cold lancer push build
Lord Fluffy There are if you replace Simulacrum and use one like Command Skeletons-Enforcer, use commander (instead of stand alone) with epic essence passive, having max essence on both weapon and offhand. The whole idea is to have high max essence and least cost of skeletons because for every cast of skeletons the cd on LotD goes down by a second. You spam skeletons in the window when you need LotD back up (after LotD ends) but you also spam during LotD along with lance, so that you can chain LotD. Between borrowed time rune, 50%+ cdr on gear, blood is power passive and zodiac ring to spam skeletons whenever LotD is on cd, it gets close to perm uptime on LotD. Plus zodiac ring has ideal combo of stats as well. The added bonus with using skeletons in the window of time youre most vulnerable is the crowd control. What you lose in Simulacrum you effectively more than make up for with added LotD uptime. You also dont waste any time waiting to line up CoE cold proc with LotD when its off cd. Skeletons zodiac trick is even more ridic in the speed variant when you swap in In-geom, vigilante, gogok, metabolism. Just bust your whole essence nut on skeletons whenever LotD is on cd. You weave in skeletons even in between lance spam during LotD, and use on appropriate targets like when standing in oculus a mob is too close for comfort and might one shot you, pop a skeletons on it (or on a bull mob about to charge, etc). In the case of being just short of LotD coming back up but you have no essence left, thats a good time to cop a hit from a mob, because youre pretty much always very close to LotD being back up anyway. But most of the time I find I can pop LotD back to back to back using skeletons without really losing lance uptime during LotD. Having perm or close to perm LotD makes up for lance downtime to cast skeletons. You mostly base lance spam off of how quickly you can kill an elite anyways. Pretty soon you figure out when and how much its appropriate to use skeletons even in LotD, as it changes.
You basically spam just enough skeletons along with lance during LotD to have a full essence globe by the time LotD ends so that you spam them more and bring LotD up asap again.
This is how the pestilence set should have came out on necro release.
Don't understand why so many UA-camrs bother with guides when it's still PTR. Even if it makes it, surely the play style will have changed slightly from tweaks?

Scrolling through the comments i found some one else touching on the matter that also came to my mind, and that I was also thinking when i was watching your Barb Charge vid; monk is just much faster than this and its very missleading for newer players looking for info when they find this with "fastest build in the game" title.
hmmm, not trying to come off as rude or a "i got the right answers" kind-of-guy. Did you test a kick or WoL monk on the ptr before writing that title? it's, just, so, CRAZY, fast. I'm a super wiz fan and wiz main sins vanilla, but mostly playing my kick monk these days cus its the fastest thing in the game for sertain things. keyfarming\lowlvl-gems mainly. come the ptr buffs, its gone be for leveling higher lvl gems to some degree as well.
To answer the question the other guy dident answer about linking a monk clearing 90 in 3 min. Check PTR leaderboards. you can see gr89 cleared in 3.29 by a preeeeetty badly optimized monk with 1400 para and low level gems\augments (sorry LovinYoshi, dont mean to hate on your gear :D) - but thats over 3 min, you might say. yes. but i only mention that because it tells a lot about the strenght of the build.
The better examples would be to see SneakyTurtles top 90 WoL clear, in a staggering 2 min 3 sec. Muscovite's 90 Kick clear in 2 min 50 sec. these are both 3.3k para accounts, must be mentioned! Cat's GR100 WoL in 5:07.
Comparing to necro leaderboards where top 90 clear is 3:09 para 4.4k, thats a minute slower and a 1k para higher. and 4:26++ following him on the 90's. top 100 necro clear in 5:09 (2.5k para). This might tell us that for ISH gr90+ runs, it might not be very much of a difference in clear time between the classes; in runs where you actualy fight a bit vs the mobs. For levels where you basicly oneshot or just brainlessly farm, WoL reigns supreme. But low lvl farming is a bit off-topic.
I'm pretty tierd while writing this, so feel free to tear me apart. :)
Just have to add for information that no other classes comes even close to these necro\monk times for gr100 and gr90 clears on ptr leaderboards. Rank 1000 DH is gr 92 so duno about the 90 for that class, good for them i guess.
I don't just use flair titles to trigger click bait, this IS the fastest solo speedfarm in the game. The PTR leaderboard has been reset over a dozen times. 90 in 2 minutes on a monk is fast, sure. But Necro farms 90 in 3 minutes consistantly, even with a shit rift. An in-geom build that's efficient at level 90! Insane! I understand you're going off of what you see on the PTR leaderboards but yes, i've play tested all the classes. Shadow DH 90s, Barb speedquake/SS 90s, WOL 90s, SWK 90s, condem 90s. The necro was the fastest and most consistant without being GG rift dependent. Its the only one of the speed 90s that can use in-geom at that GR level.
I'm almost convinced now that the necro is the fastest gr85+ farmer.
I love that you test so thoroughly and can share the information from several classes perspective and I'm allways very interested in the what class\build is fastest for x and y type of farming. Today i've been fooling around on the PTR again, had to test some WoL 90's. Personaly I'm huge fan of dropping Kyoshiro's Blade for In-Geom but that left me with to little damage for 90's being worthwhile. Also most people use cinder coat in cube, but can easily be replaced by nemesis bracers, resources was not a problem for my monk rolling some cdr into rcr. Anyway what I'm really saying here is that it kind of sucked. :) I'll have to dropp several gr levels for in-geom setup to have enough damage (im only 2k para). I only ran like 7-8 runs with Kyoshiro's, best time being 3:51 as seen on PTR (char name Rainer, feel free to trash my monk setup guys) which really kind of dissapointed me. It was squishy, it was inconsistent damage output when not 1-3 shotting the stuff you fight and 3:51 being best result with a level being greater spire good density stuff. More normal time was around 5-7 minutes for me. I guess an account with around 4k+ para could maybe maybe do 90's with In-Geom to be quicker than necromancers, but for the man in the street it's a no-go and necromancers will do higher rifts faster, easier and with less gear and paragon. Really nice find on this necro speed build bro. I guess I'm making one, lol.
