- The Carlson School of Management received a surprise visit from a saxophonist...and nearly 300 of his friends from the University of Minnesota's School of Music this November.

Holy crap I watched this when I was 10, now I’m 18... crazy how time flies
This is my favorite flash mob EVER! I watch it at least 10 times each Christmas.
We need more of these random musical events. Never fails to lift my spirit. Judy

I think the way that this loud area just slowly quiets down when they hear the music start playing is just amazing!

I don't think it matters whether this was about money or not; This video was great and those students and faculty put in a lot of work. It made a bunch of people smile and possibly made someone's day. If you don't have anything nice to say don't say it. Have a wonderful day and enjoy the holidays.

Didn't get it till after the Holidays, but it's so wonderful. I love that the flash mob phenomenon has made public space a (semi-) legitimate place for performance. Public temporal arts! Yay! "Deck the Halls" indeed!

Music brings people together. This is a wonderful video with amazingly talented people performing before a "captured" audience of even more amazingly talented people. When people try to tell me there is no hope in this world and for the younger generations in particular, I'll simply smile and remember this video.

While "Deck the Halls" may be a "neutral" Holiday song of sorts...the Saxophonist begins with a sweet melody from a distinctly CHRISTIAN Hymn "Near the Cross". This is a wonderful Christmas gift to my heart from the University of Minnesota. I was proud to share this with the Facebook world that I influence! Go Goldie and blessings to all who listen to the still small voice in the midst of all the harmony and wonder of this sweet gathering of voices and talents!
A brilliant and challenging thought translated superbly into life. The videography and edit deserves equal credit for not only making one feel like they were present - but present everywhere in that space !!! Loved it.

I dont want to seem negative but flash mobs are something one shoud experience in person not on youtube through massively edited renditions... but I still think they did an awesome job and I wish I was there to experience it!!

My middle son was a freshman at the U that year (2011) and sent me the link. I love flashmobs but this is my all-time favorite! I share it EVERY year with my friends on facebook and the students in my fall semester classes. :)
Great fun...and I liked the arrangement, not one I've heard before...with 300 visitors showing up the Management students must have thought business was booming!
