Also, it is so pathetic that the first time we have a black President, the Secret Service drops the ball that badly. It might just be the fact that more crazy people out there want to show him that he isn't untouchable, but still: Racism isn't limited to the public, it probably extends into the Secret Service.

Ferdinand Del Toro 2nd best line behind 4:21!"I don't want to be too hard on those guys [the secret service], they're the only law enforcement agency in the country that will get in trouble if a black man gets shot!"
I didn't think anyone could top Colbert's Correspondents Dinner speech back in 2006, but I think this did. Cecily was amazing. The media not laughing much just shows how out of touch they are... or how tightly their metaphorical balls are in a vice by the rich person sitting next to them.
robb1324 Seth Meyers, Jimmy Kimmel, and Conan O'Brien were all easily funnier than Cecily. See, being funny does not simply entail "pushing buttons" or saying something intelligent and insightful.
DiverseLA Humor is objective. To me, she was funnier than all of them combined. I think she had more wit and kept it more real than those guys, and that's the type of humor that I appreciate the most.
robb1324 Oh please, you gotta be kidding me. Just because she is a woman and told the media to shut up about Hillary's looks? I agree of course, but that's not revolutionary. It's pandering for applause like a politician, a lot of it was. Now that's fine as a comedian, but let's not have any illusions about what she did here. She was barely a 5.5 out of 10 on the Colbert scale. She had 3 or 4 jokes that rivaled his performance and may have been better than his average of the whole act, but that was it. Most of them were fluffing. It wasn't bad, in fact, I still really enjoyed it. But it was not even close to the brilliance Colbert delivered, so let's not kid ourselves. Even McHale and Kimmel were better overall. I wish she was as good as you seem to think she was. We desperately need that. And I hope it will be a woman, so that this kind of debate can be over. But it didn't happen this time. Not a single joke about the NSA, Snowden or anything slightly controversial. But I doubt people in charge would even allow that to get into the script again anyway. She would have to go off script and sneak that in from memory, which is one hell of a task. I don't blame her for not having the courage or confidence to do that. I wouldn't either. That's why Colbert was such a true hero. He managed to do what nobody dared or even thought possible at the time. It was historic.
She was on of the best parts of SNL, but this gig was bad for her. Too many intelligent jokes that people didnt get, or jokes that were more facts then jokes
No its really not. It didnt help her you was rather mono-tone the whole time, and as a buddy of mine put it "rather vicious for an SNL chick" She did a good job, just some of it was hard to follow for most, or just went too far for people to enjoy
jpracingph I understood her "facts" but facts alone does not make something a joke, or make it funny. She had stretches where there really was no punchline; it was about pushing her political views. And even her attempts at being jokey and silly were weak.
This woman is the ONLY person all year that all those politicians and big wigs listen to who talks REAL talk. That's why this is so raw. This girl is f****** solid gold.
I think while she observed characters to impersonate in SNL, she sharpened her observations more. Its really amazing to see to how she uses her observations adding humour to share what she feels. Hearing her some smiles, some nods and some feels ashamed. Thumbs up Cecily.
The jokes were great, specially the "what to do with my body" and those related to race & police, but that Joe Biden joke is more relevant in 2019 than ever. XD
Watching her on SNL, gave me much respect for her talents , because she's so mild she can slip the harsh zingers without being crucified like Michelle Wolfe was.
What a room full of duds! Sitting there, smug and self important. Why even have a comedian? She did a great job! It must be hell having perform in front of a bunch judgemental, scowling, unappreciative egomaniacs.
Meyers had more light hearted jokes that landed better with his audience but holy shit Cecily Strong tore them up! I love it, super smart jokes and completely relentless on both republican and democratic side which I think is important.
I think she used the time to cleverly craft jokes with a much deeper meaning. Granted there should have been a balance of those and some with less abrupt social commentary. However, the comments are disgusting. I know you won't think the jokes aren't funny if you don't get them but please don't say anything about anything else. Just say you didn't like the jokes and move on with your life. Cecily is hilarious and just privilege checked everyone in that damn room, which is why they were not as responsive as in the past. Also that white hair joke had me weak
Amhlair his policy record clearly shows that he's not a sellout, he had basically no choice. If he endorsed Jill Stein that would unfortunately just help Trump because of the retarded way the general election works.
She hit all sides. I dig it. Her opener "small brain" joke was right out of the Norm MacDonald playbook. Some of the jokes shot right past me, but watching this almost 5 years too late definitely impacted my comprehension. She's so beautiful and funny; one of my favorite performers on current SNL.
she's a great comedic talent. to see someone do a high-acid biting sardonic act like that is a rare sight to behold; I watched it twice and enjoyed it twice as much the second time.
Almost everyone in the audience is taking this with a cold grimace but Obama seems legitimately amused and that’s such a wonderful trait to look back at and miss

THIS WAS, F*CKING AWESOME!
C-Span immediately switches to a different camera when Cecily makes the single camera joke
"Your hair is so white now it can talk back to the police"
hahha best!
Honestly, the Buzzfeed joke was on point.
The worst audience a stand-up comedian/ne could ever hope for. All those dead faces who just don't get the joke!
"Feels good to have a woman follow President Obama"
I wish.
Watching this in 2020 really stings. We were so naïve. Cecily is awesome and she killed it. Best joke was the one about the secret service.
Day-um, Cecily you came on Strong!
MehdiNPartDeu
Her Hillary bit was hilarious and the media repeat-after-me.
I have watched this many times...She is so good...I just love her
honestly she roasted obama so badly i'd be so scared tbh
"Did you know they have massage seats available on those trains...all you have to do is sit in front of Joe Biden"
OH DAMN
What happened to Biden?
Really funny when the whole room is going boo and there's this one guy that's laughing his ass off.
Cecile strong is an inspiration to be confident in what you believe and speaking up about it! Great role model.
I wouldn't even want to be around none of them shytt eaters
I miss Obama's smile 💔
he, he's not dead-
4:20 this joke aged like fine wine
She's so perfect. Gotta love a chick that's funny, smart, and gorgeous.
You know that she is reading from the script, right?
The crowd sucked. She was great.
That crowd always sux.
One thing I am noticing right now....Obama, and Michelle...ATTENDED the Correspondents" Dinner...
Keep crying Levi you pussy
Levi Brennan Lmao. Self congratulatory? Did you actually listen to it
"The Secret Service is the only law enforcement in this country that would get in serious trouble if a black man gets shot" YIKES!!!
She is just 28 here. Damn that's great confidence. 👍
31, not 28.
Wow she kept her composure in such a tough room! Kudos!
She was on of the best parts of SNL, but this gig was bad for her. Too many intelligent jokes that people didnt get, or jokes that were more facts then jokes
Devin Linker Its not her fault the room was full of idiots.
DiverseLA Yep I totally agree. Her delivery was real bland and it undermined whatever punchline power her jokes may have had.
Devin Linker It's not really her problem that the room was full of dolts.
This woman is the ONLY person all year that all those politicians and big wigs listen to who talks REAL talk. That's why this is so raw. This girl is f****** solid gold.
Don't know why they bring comedians in for this event. All the people present are so uptight; they can't have any fun.
So brilliant watching this a year later and how ahead of her time.
I think while she observed characters to impersonate in SNL, she sharpened her observations more. Its really amazing to see to how she uses her observations adding humour to share what she feels. Hearing her some smiles, some nods and some feels ashamed. Thumbs up Cecily.
LOL look at that lady's face at 10:39. She's like "This bitch is NOT funny."
DiverseLA bahah... damn visual based comedy... that was a squint face to be clear, a SQUINT FAACE! (yelling in Costanza voice) I find her hillrious
This is my favorite of all the Correspondents Dinner's speeches, I keep coming back to it 😅
At points she sounds like she's slipping into girl at a party and I love it so much
She seems like she could play a great Mellie on Scandal.
She could! She's fierce
Wow this crowd sucks, I thought she was really funny.
I like the uncomfortable white old men when she makes the law enforcement joke
I think she used the time to cleverly craft jokes with a much deeper meaning. Granted there should have been a balance of those and some with less abrupt social commentary. However, the comments are disgusting. I know you won't think the jokes aren't funny if you don't get them but please don't say anything about anything else. Just say you didn't like the jokes and move on with your life. Cecily is hilarious and just privilege checked everyone in that damn room, which is why they were not as responsive as in the past. Also that white hair joke had me weak
Read through most the comments. Wtf are you talking about psycho? Not a single person commented anything negative dumbass
Dyin Hope I didn’t get some of the jokes:(
The scowls in the crowd are hilarious.
This is before Bernie announce he's running right
yeah
And who's Bernie again? Oh yes, the latest sell-out to endorse Hillary.
Amhlair his policy record clearly shows that he's not a sellout, he had basically no choice. If he endorsed Jill Stein that would unfortunately just help Trump because of the retarded way the general election works.
You gotta be stone cold to play to this crowd. A room full of stiffs to say the least. And she killed it. Great job Cecily!
14:16 "Who's better on the economy than Hilary? ...Bill..." I literally couldn't after this point lol
18:18 I couldn't stop laughing at the woman in yellow shaking her head in disgust.
4:14 She WENT ALL THE WAY IN, on them! Damnnnn! Then the lady's face (you'll see the one) after the joke. Priceless.
Colin Silver 7:52 She goes in on LemonDrop too! WOW!
Colin Silver "I smell marijuana and they are rioting!" - LemonDrop while standing in a calm parking lot
Whats her last name again..? STRONG!!
“Rand Paul is running. Yes that is Rand. He didn’t get elected but at least he rand”😂😂😂
I'm pretty sure she won't be invited back anytime soon, or ever, which is a real shame, because this is exactly what this nation needs.
she's a great comedic talent. to see someone do a high-acid biting sardonic act like that is a rare sight to behold; I watched it twice and enjoyed it twice as much the second time.
I watched this in class after one of my tests and laughed out loud while people weren't done and I got a detention. It was worth it though
Almost everyone in the audience is taking this with a cold grimace but Obama seems legitimately amused and that’s such a wonderful trait to look back at and miss
"I can make that joke about Indiana because... I'm from Illinois."
as someone from northwest indiana, this cracked me up
