I made a lot of friends with Indians and got to know about their food, language, culture, all that. From that perspective, India is the most heartbreakingly depressing place of all time. Hype versus reality type of situation. I'll tell you something, Thailand or Cambodia felt more like the "real" India to me. Indians should emulate Thailand and learn from them--it would be completely appropriate since in ancient times it was Thailand that learned everything from ancient Indian kingdoms. Whatever they do, India cannot carry on the way it is now.
