Good comparison, thank you! However I don't see any relevance in terms of "technology/high end" references for Trek. Knock Block - it's just there - if you don't plan to change your stem, mino link/chips are on both bikes, internal cable routing - how does this impact your riding? :). Most bikes would come with such features now...I would rather think "what can I adjust" while riding Trek, than "should I replace the crappy brakes" while riding GT :).
I think Trek is the Ford of the bike industry. They make top end full carbon mtb's to low end box store bikes. Just like Ford where you can get a million dollar plus Ford GT 40 down to a little Ford Fiesta. Not a knock, they're just a big bike company and try to hit the masses compared to say a Yeti or Pivot.
Love GT, but yeah, it does seem they cut corners on components. I can deal with mix match groups, but subpar brakes, eh. The KS dropper though, I'm curious as to why you knock it, as it's always been a solid post. I mean, much better reputation than a Reverb that so many editors gush about.
MissingLink MTB the KS Lev’s are not the greatest. Fox, Bontrager and Crank Bros have droppers that are infinitely more serviceable and less expensive.
@@setransou I always saw the ks as cheaper. Prices are all over the place right now though, but yeah, I'd imagine the more mainstream ones are more serviceable.

I think trek make pretty good bikes for the person that doesn’t want to muck around with their own modifications, just buy the bike and start riding
