Paul was Amazing, I don't think anyone even comes close. ARS will always be the very best!! So many have passed, their music lives on!! Think Doug and Joe are still living, want to say "Thank You All for the very best". Enjoying the videos ☺️!
I play bass becoz in the 70s ARS opened up for everybody and when I saw paul and the look on his face and the joy..I wanted a piece of that.I think about him every time I pick my bass up.
One of my all time favorite bands, Atlanta Rhythm Section, back in the early eighties These guys rocked. I rigged up my Ford F-150 pick up truck with stereo speakers and an 8-track player, and we fuckin' rocked. Not all good memories, but some. But I still love ARS . and I will till I die !!!!!!
One of my favorite ARS tunes! (Too bad Paul didn’t use a 5 string on this number… that low D would’ve been heavy AF) Edit: upon listening to the original I can hear Paul must’ve dropped the E down to low D. Not sure he’s doing that here.
RIP Dean Daughtry. Thanks for the great music.
Paul was one hell of a bass player....RIP
Brilliant- Paul Goddard was amazing. Thank you for this!

Wow, fantastic!
Classy act all around. Yes, Paul Goddard amazing tone and playing. 40 years later trying to get those licks and tone !!
Paul Goddard and a Ricky 4001 just go so well together.
Love it!
Paul on Bass @ 3:24....awesome...
JR Cobb once told me you don’t have to be good in the Studio, you just have to be consistent.
Cool riff @ 2:54
Very cool would like to put a vocal track to that one!
Got to record 2 songs with members of the Atlanta Rhythm Section that will be on the new Twanglish album due out 4/10/15. Here's a studio clip
Oh to be a fly on the wall.
Sometimes I love you, but the again, sometimes...
I'm sure Dean toured with Roy O in 1967 in England. Wow!

The E string sounds tuned down a whole step to D.
Awesome! Thanks for sharing! Btw, what is the name of this masterpiece? I'd love to listen to the final version in full. Thanks in advance.
