WOW! Lucky you, finding all that copper. If you have any Habitat for Humanity Restores in your area, you need to check them out. You never know what you’ll find.
I understand Bri - I’ve been fishing about twice in my life and it made me feel queasy and bad for the fish. But somehow I knew that was a basket for fishing. It was a great find and in perfect condition! 👍🏻
Greetings, Bri, and Happy 2023!! To answer one of your Qs, YES, YES, YES, I have a soft spot for little "critters" at thrift stores, including cracked or broken ones. Since I keep what I purchase, if I think I can fix the critter using clay, spackle or whatever [including chewing gum that I can sculpt], I will certainly buy the sweet thing. Finger nail polish [in multitudes of colors] work amazingly well to re-paint ceramic/porcelain critters. Plus, broken or chipped critters are drastically discounted by the thrift store managers IF YOU ASK. Thanks for your videos, most interesting, instructional and informative.
In our area we have tons of estate sales and prices are very reasonable , especially Saturdays..half price day. My husband and I go on Saturdays..started skipping going out to eat in favor of estate sales. The problem is we don’t resale and so we have way too much. I love your copper pieces..I have some in my attic. I too, have a soft spot for critters and have everything from cats, dogs to ducks, roosters, chickens, penguins, elephants and giraffes are my favorite. I love your quick redo..made that piece a hundred percent better. I have never seen those luggage racks. Our Goodwills are mostly clothes and the other stuff is so high.higher than department stores on some things. We don’t have a lot of thrift stores that are priced reasonably..that is why we go to estate sales, and we buy household stuff like cleaners, paper products etc. Good luck with your items..all good. ❤
Saw your video on thrifting, there were some really nice choices, I go to Wichita a lot to see my family. Going to try thrifting there & see how lucky I get….loved those pans too
I have bunnies that my grandmother does from my grandparent's houses elephants that a great great aunt collected over her life lots of dishes that came down through the family's
I noticed you went to the smaller Hillcrest thrift, if you go farther down 63rd the bigger Hillcrest thrift sits back in a strip mall and it has TONS of great finds as well. LOVE watching your channel.
I have volunteered at my local Council on Aging thrift shop every week for the last 11 yrs. When I go to a "big box" thrift shops, I am stunned with sticker shock O_o Our prices are still so low its almost criminal, lol! I mean, blanket prices for clothes at 2 for $5 unless otherwise marked (something is new with tags or a bigger brand, it might be $5-8 TOPS), all of our glass and brickabrack stuff is under $5 easy! Baskets galore, usually around $1-3 unless its bigger or reallllyyy olf or realllly nice. Its also not like we get junk, we dont, we are in a VERY hioty toity area where people have summer homes (we actually started closing 2 yrs ago from Jan-March bc we get so low on donations and sales) and where there is rich elderly that constantly donate. We just keep prices low because we remember what we ARE....a thrift shop that sells USED stuff, yes a lot of vintage, but also used. Thrift used to be something people were not so willing to admit they do.....but now that its 'cool', etc...these big box thrifts often forget why they were a thing to begin with. Not everyone that goes there goes there because they are resellers. Most people go because they have to, esp these days....and with these prices Im SHOCKED!!!!! $9 for a crusty ole basket?? I mean the one you actually bought was NICE...but some of the other ones, lol, like REALLY???!! Those flat plate ones that you put plates in, they had EACH ONE at $8.99, big and small, lol! We get those at my thrift all the time, we put 99 cents or 1.99 for the big big ones if in great conditon or sell as a set of 4-6 for like $2. Lol, I cant believe they had $8.99!!! Then again, if they do the half off thing, they know itll sell on half off day which is a sad way to business. We do certain color tags half off for 2 weeks, then change the color, but we DONT price with that in mind. When I worked at Savers, if there was a big half off day coming that month, theyd tell us CONSTANTLY to price higher because "half off day is coming up" like uhhhhh, that defeats the damn purpose!!!! Its so frustrating. We have a little thing we price by...would YOU pay that...fpr THAT?? If its no, then its too high. And...do you want it to actually SELL or sit there?? Priced to sell is something these thrift shops apparently never heard of. Insane.
New Subscriber here.. Awesome Channel! I have one of those lanterns u picked up in the first Thrift store... Iv had it for years!...Actually it was my Dad's but now I have it in my Ocean Themed bathroom..
Yes I’m looking for bunnies vintage or modern I don’t care I want to find some ? I’ve been looking for bunnies but none of our Arc stores have them yet I found one bunny with a cart but that was it ? Thus coming Month I hope to find some Bunnies ceramic eggs ?
New subscriber. I love thrifting but my challenge is repurposing them or just decorating. Lol. My house looks ugly and bare after taking down Christmas.
Bri there was a long handled brass ladle thingy that you picked up separately from the brass pots & pans. Did you include that in the pots & pans bundle or will it be a separate sale item?
Prices have gone crazy at thrift store, sometimes it’s better to buy new. Double check & see. You can always talk to manager to see if you can get it lower. Buying kids clothes is way more affordable elsewhere. I think it’s awful that they over priced these items, it’s free items that where turn in, to help other not help store pockets
I'm not for sure if you know but also Goodwill and a lot of your thrift stores if you bring in bags like a bag full of bags you can get an extra 10% off your order like me I go in on Mondays cuz at all the Goodwills I get 25% off cuz anybody over 55 gets that and then I bring him bags in my bag and get 10% off and I have found some really good fines I found two pheasants today a great big one and then a little bit smaller one I'm going to paint them white they're really cute I paid 2.99 for one and 3.99 for one when I say big I'm talking about one of them is probably 12 in high and one's probably about 14 or 16 inches high they're really cute pheasants but they're going to be white but I love all the critters I have foxes and owls and just different stuff I have some swans that I paid 50 cents for it to Goodwill they're wood and I have a wooden duck it is old it's like a wooden decoy and I paid $1.99 for it
I'm confused as to why you didn't buy the copper ring hanger that all of those copper pieces are supposed to hang on. It was the best piece. It could have been sold separately if you didn't want to use it yourself.
WOW! Lucky you, finding all that copper. If you have any Habitat for Humanity Restores in your area, you need to check them out. You never know what you’ll find.
I agree on the fact that thrift store prices have gone up more than they should have.
the basket you called a gathering basket is actually a trout fishing basket
Even cooler!!
Yep sure is!
I understand Bri - I’ve been fishing about twice in my life and it made me feel queasy and bad for the fish. But somehow I knew that was a basket for fishing. It was a great find and in perfect condition! 👍🏻
Yup. It’s called a creel.
@@UpcycledbyBri hey a gathering basket for fish. I love it !!!
Those copper pots and pans were an amazing find! I would have snap them up myself
I am blown away by how organized your thrift stores are. Ours look like a tornado blew through!!
You should ALWAYS be in search of good florals and greenery buyers . Thanks

Happy New Year Bri! Prices are getting rather high at thrift stores for sure!
I have this train rack. Got it in the 1980s! No idea of the value. It's in a storage closet maybe I should get it hung up again!
Love the copper pieces!
Love the quick flip on the 3 chalkboard divider!!
That organizer is so cute!!!!
Bri those stores have the idea their merchandise is worth gold. I'm shocked at the prices
Thats how our stores are too. I quit going last year because it was ridiculous pricing.
Bri, love the copper and rolling pins! Great finds!
Bri You make beautiful Candle Holders, I live in Louisville Kentucky, and our goodwills are getting ridiculous about their prices,
That first basket was actually a creel (fishing basket).
Love what you did with that metal wall organizer! That luggage shelf is gorgeous!
Gathering basket? Thats a fishing creel for certain.
Gathering basket? Gathering fish! It’s a fishing basket. 😂
I liked the 123 mailbox

I can’t believe you are selling the luggage rack, it’s stunning!
Those prices were very high! 😮
Agree !
Hope you got all the Cooper pots and pans.

Love my little critters.
Those prices are crazy! We don’t pay anything like that here. That being said you scored some awesome pieces!

I LOVE the bunnies in your thumbnail!!! It seems I’m developing an obsession with bunnies…
Saturday morning 9:55 AM CST- that’s when they go up! Just wait until I pull out my spring decor in a couple weeks . Bunnies galore!!! 😍
That fish basket was a buy
Yes I’m looking for bunnies vintage or modern I don’t care I want to find some ? I’ve been looking for bunnies but none of our Arc stores have them yet I found one bunny with a cart but that was it ? Thus coming Month I hope to find some Bunnies ceramic eggs ?

What great finds! Love the flip
Some of those prices are ridiculous!

Happy New Year!! 🎉😃🙏
ok, Bri, you don't need any Christmas... as she sneaks a little ol Santa into her cart, but doesn't admit it! I love your attitude and videos!
Shhhhhh!!! 😂
Great haul!
I collect roosters and bunnies. With the roosters I got out of control. Way too many and I don't sell. Someone got lucky eventually.
❤️❤️❤️ great finds!!!
Bri there was a long handled brass ladle thingy that you picked up separately from the brass pots & pans. Did you include that in the pots & pans bundle or will it be a separate sale item?
That's a fishing creel, not a gathering basket.
Nice haul

I have read that thrift stores like salvation or Vinnies are all business now and have to price high to pay the high executive wages.
love this

Thrift store prices are getting higher and higher for the same old cast offs.

What!? Did I miss it!?!! Was it on the cart ???? 🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️
Happy New Year Bri ☺️💕
Shawnee Mission, Ks??
Some Thrift store employees really kill me with not giving discounts on broken items🤦🏽♀🤦🏽♀🤦🏽♀🤦🏽♀
Yeah some of the prices are way to high you can buy that in the reg store for less. It’s a thrift store for crying out loud😫
Some of those prices aren’t thrift pricing are they? Wow
Definitely some boutique pricing!
Those prices are way to high!
Those prices 😧
GREAT VIDEO...
Everything is expensive for second hand
Don’t care for the cardboard Diy- why didn’t you paint? Maybe I don’t understand the material but card cardboard seemed cheap
Those are geese, not ducks.
Oops! Isn't your N upside down? -Sharon
Do you realize you have the “N” you stenciled upside down?
😂 I do now 🙃
Prices are high
I ask myself why anyone would go on line and buy from you, when they can do the same thing….
