I personally love Jeff and Abed’s relationship, no matter how many times Jeff shuts down Abed’s popculture references he actually gets them all. Abed’s right, Jeff IS a nerd.

I honestly think Jeff and abed had a special relationship that not even Troy had with abed. The final scene made me almost cry. I loved how Jeff went back for the second hug.

I like that moment between Troy and Pierce at the end, they didn't have many of those and it's good to see.
Well the initial plan was for pierce and troy to be paired up as friends but as they filmed they saw the chemistry between the actors of troy and abed and built upon that relationship instead

Chevy Chase's delivery is GOLD
It’s pretty easy to not take Chevy seriously but his acting and comedic talent can’t be denied.
Note how he doesn't compliment Britta while showering the rest with praises because he was building her up for a date while he looks heroic. Manipulative yes, but a brilliant strategist nonetheless.
As if being a brilliant strategist changes the quality of actions
@@gphi6053 No, but I'm pointing out the distinction between being manipulative, which isn't a good thing to do and being strategically brilliant which is an evaluation of ability to accomplish a superior goal(like studying a certain way to pass a test in order to graduate or as a general organizing his units in battle in a way that wins him the battle best). The latter of which isn't clearly something which can make the act of manipulation not be unethical, do you get what I mean?
I'm curious on how it's good to not give her a complement. Why would she go on a date with him because he didnt complement her? Doesn't make sense to me.

To me Abed and Jeff were the two pillars of the group, I love the others too but abed brought them together and Jeff talked them into staying, together they formed an amazing group that I enjoy watching so much

I kinda hate the way the director changed her character after season 1 and 2
onE mEmbEr studios personally I liked both versions, but the decision was made by a bunch of people not just one person
I actually think this old Britta is the "I'm not like other girls" girl stereotype which is kinda annoying. I actually like new Britta better and I think she is way more intelligent in the later season when she started to major in psychology. Like when she helped Abed get over his fear of Troy leaving in. I feel like she became more genuine and caring in the later seasons. But that's just my opinion 😉.
@Marcus Aurelius study group are efficient way to study. It has nothing to do with your inteligence. I would even argue, that it's smart to do so.
Britta was just pretending to be smart. She wanted everyone to think she was a smart and ground breaking activist. She was lying to herself. But as the show progresses she accepts herself and after solving her own problems she tries to help others by being a therapist.

It is just a speech but it brings the group together, which is the special sauce of the show. They are all very different but come together as one community. Love it!

@@Warwipf no that was some really awful character that didn't fit into a role. They replaced the hot blonde from Spanish class with britta like 2 episodes in
wouldn’t be surprised it studio execs insisted on something predictable like that. fortunately the character was so self righteous she became boring and had the chance to be written as a more real girl - albeit as farcical as would fit the show. one of the best things Community did is have a stereotypically beautiful female character relate to you primarily as comedic and even ‘the worst’ instead of the usual prom-queen-bee mate of the alpha male.
There was no female lead in the end. Jeff fell in love with the group while everyone gets to move on with their life, save britta since she re-enrolled. But what's better than having Jeff satisfy his cravings is for him to face his traumas and sins as a fake lawyer and become a person that went after the truth most of the time than "winning".

Britta didn't change. Like Jeff, we just found out that the most popular pretty people were also the most insecure, the most fearful of losing their looks and status, once you got to know them
Knowing this also made them way more endearing
