Acclaimed comic-book writer Alan Moore interviews legendary musician Brian Eno. The interview was recorded on December 14th, 2004 at the The Institute Of Physics, on Portland Place.
I'm the same age as Alan Moore, was not aware of him, though it's never too late . I have had the opportunity to listen to Brian Eno in the mid to late sixties. Both of these guys are a pleasure. Patty the Pooh
This is actually one of the very best interviews of Brian Eno. He's so relaxed and Alan Moore actually lets him speak no matter how off topic he'll go. It just two good friends talking. 💖
I just listened to the Eno desert Island discs, which the BBC recently made available as an archive, and for his luxury item he does ask for "an endless supply of mind altering substances" then changes it to "a man eating spider to keep me on my toes" then changes it to a radio telescope.
Writing the lyrics for Here Come the Warm Jets: he may not remember now, but a music magazine article I read on Eno in 1977 or 1978 said that he would listen to the tracks and jump around shouting out words until he had enough to string them together into complete lyrics.
ive get it fully! its so nice to hear blokes talk about getting the ugly spirit like burroughs talked about and so on... wish ive could have had 30 minutes with alan... he is pretty much learned in the same field im into! bet im turning into a magician when i turn 40! but there is a big flaw in me... have not created enough...have a nice day to all people out there...
Ah...this was and still is a wonderful talk, as between friends is it not? And the ping of sadness since Davids death, hearing Brian speak of how that came together musically is poignant now. ' Certain streets have certain corners..' ( now finish the rest of the sentence.. Lol) I've always loved that line Peace
He's 1100% right about music vs lyrics. I'm a guitar-player... just picked up a maschine studio... have absolutely NO idea what I'm doing, but can still produce stuff that sounds great, and utterly unique. Lyrics? FFS. Still has hard to do as when I started, about 30 years ago.
What does he mean the right hand carriage or the next one?, did he not have a place to get to?. "Oh I think I might take this train and head south along the coast or maybe this one and head into town".
Why surprised. ...In today's world Mozart would be unknown, not to mention Stravinsky, Miles Davis . Nobody or faw care about the true creative artist. ....unless they have a reality show and make a farce of them self.We live in times of decadence without purpose. ...Some decadence can be charming, if in good taste.I just made a portret of mr. Eno, as a homage to Bowie passing, yet as I was doing it, I was reminded of other Eno mega work amd can't recall anything of his that made me indifferent, wich in my language translates, that I didn't like!
I like listening to this thoughtful creative man but then he gets political and starts to display all the characteristics of the open borders western hating elite. It's depressing because though everyone has a right to their viewpoint and ideals, well I think that, you know that this mindset brooks no opposition and doesn't try to appreciate alternative viewpoints. It's quite scary.
Eno and Bowie constantly talked to each other like "Derek and Clive"? That's fucking awesome

best interview I ever heard.
What an incredible interview thanks for uploading!
Wow. Two of my favorite people. I can't believe this hasn't popped up before. Thanks so much for uploading this.
Top interview, especially loved the bit about Pete and Dud. Wasn't long enough but still great. And yes so surprised at the lack of comments on here

my best mate, who sadly died a while back, loved Derek and Clive. We both used to do the same as Brian and David!
Very good interview these guys are a good match up for something better than the usual media drivel...kudos Alan and Brian...well done
Eno is such a catalyst for creativity, his diary for 1995 ( published as a book) is a must.
I had no idea he was such a thinker. I would read this if it wasn't $124. Catchy title.
Did someone read my mind and make this. This is amazing.
Thanks for uploading this,
Really enjoyed it, I could listen to them all day, I was quite upset when it finished.
This interview should had been three hours. Love these two guys, great interview combo for sure. 👍
Two great masters, fantastic interview. This should have been at least 3 hours.
Amazing superhero crossover!. Two of my favourite citizens in earth talking. Life is great!

I would like to give Eno the lyrics to Scriabin's 1st symphony..
Art imitates Nature, and Necessity is the Mother of Invention.
Who's the daddy?
The destroyer of worlds.
Thanks for uploading! Very positive and informative. I wonder what "Hear Come The Warm Jets" is truly about.
'Here Come The Warm Jets' is a pornographic play on the song from West Side Story.
a very funny and intelligent interview by two very funny and intelligent men, and it baffles me that I'm the only person commenting here.
+violentauntie subscribe me, then yourself, then Jesus. We'll take it from there.
+violentauntie so who the fuck is in MY wardrobe?
wtf.
I honestly have no recollection of writing this.
Another green word
the way I ended up on this video has destroyed my belief in coincidence
the exact same thing just happened to me too - weird or not.
"Fast track slow track every three minutes..use music like you would use light in a room". 14:50
December 14th, 2004.
a date of the interview in the description would be nice. js

At least Mozart, Stravinsky, Miles Davis and Brian Eno are known to us.
The left carriage. There's something to this.

Upper Class Twits starring Alan Moore and Brian Eno.
